Excellent location, close to Ueno station. Restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Ameyoko market nearby. Room was spotless. Shower room was great. Staff were super friendly. Stayed in "Japanese-style" room with futon - very comfortable (they have Western-style rooms, too). WiFi worked well. I believe they have smoking rooms. I stayed in a non-smoking room, and it truly was smoke-free. Room was larger than at many business traveler hotels in Tokyo. Would stay there again.
Nothing I didn't like, but be prepared that's it's not a modern or contemporary-style hotel, which may be why their prices are quite reasonable. I wouldn't ask them to change a thing.

Spacious room, decent price. Staff was very accommodating and helped me receive an item during my trip. My room had a shared bathroom and shower situation, but it seemed like I was the only one in those rooms, so I had the bathroom and shower mostly to myself. There are some decent restaurants nearby and a couple of conbinis if you need them.
Location was a bit hard to get to. It's close to Ueno station but you need to use the escalator or elevators to get there. Note that some of these do close late and early, so if you're travelling at an odd time, you might have to lug any big luggages you have with you up and down stairs.

The hotel is near the station with an easily accessible elevator to go up and down the subway which we definitely appreciated with all our luggage. It's also near a lot of convenience stores but still kept a quiet neighborhood. Our room was really spacious and there were three of us! Every time we left the room, we come back to it clean and with new towels and blankets. <3 Heater is also superb!
The elevator was a bit small but nothing unmanageable. Also, for a heads up, they use keys and not cards and they ask that you leave the key at the reception whenever you leave.

The hotel was easy to find if you exit Ueno station from the 3rd Exit/Gate. There was another exit that had an elevator which was also useful if you have to lug your luggage around to the hotel. The trip to the hotel was mostly flat and there was a small plane into the lobby so it's pretty wheelchair-friendly. The receptionists, both in the morning and evening, were very helpful. I managed to get checked in earlier than expected (around 2.30pm) and the staff allowed me to keep my belongings there before checking in and after checking out of the hotel. Each time one leaves the hotel, it was required to leave the hotel key with them which is a great thing as I didn't have to worry about misplacing my hotel key while I'm outside exploring Tokyo. There was a lift to the guest rooms so one doesn't need to worry about lugging their belongings up, especially when feeling tired after a long trip. The size of the room was probably the most spacious amongst others with a comparable price range. Not only could I open my luggage flat, but there was even plenty of room for me to perform my prayers. The walls are thick enough for privacy although you may hear some noise occasionally if the sounds are loud enough. The bed was very comfortable and big for a single person to sleep in, and the comforters were warm. The room was equipped with a private bathroom, toilet bidet, shower head AND your own bathtub to soak in after a long day out. They provide a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, hair conditioner and body shampoo so one doesn't need to bring much of their basic toiletries while staying there. The hotel will clean the room and leave fresh towels and sleeping yukata every single day so it was a nice feeling coming back to the hotel during my week-long stay. There is 7E nearby where it was convenient to get any necessities or konbini food. You can keep cold drinks or food too as the room is equipped with a small refrigerator.
The lift was small enough which may not fit a regular wheelchair.

Close to Ueno station (Ginza line) (~5’ walking if you know the way) with have so many good options for eating out. We stayed in a Japanese style room which is perfect for 3 people. It has even luggage storage, Yukata for all of us and a traditional bathroom. Every staff is super polite and friendly. Even though it’s only 2 star hotel but we liked it much more than other fancier places we have stayed during our trip.
There is a strict rule that no guests are allowed in the room and you shall hand over the keys to the receptionist when going out. But it’s not a problem for us anyway.

The room was small, perfect for a solo traveler but I don't know how big the double rooms are. The staff were extremely friendly and there 24/7! It's very quiet and in a perfect location, near a 7eleven and a 5 minute walk from one of the biggest train stations that head directly for the airport and the Shikansen. They also had umbrellas if you needed and other amenities available! When I left some days for Kobe and returned, I left one of my luggages there and they kept them for free until I returned. An overall very pleasant stay for a solo traveler!
Nothing!

The room is big and cleaness. We can open two big luggage in the room. The staff is very nice. The hotel location is also great not far from Ueno station and you can choose to walk to the exit with lift, evelator or stiars. Also have 7-11, lawson, family mart near the hotel. You also can walk to shopping center like Takeya, Dong gi, Arte, etc. from hotel. The hotel was provided cleaning and changed the towel every day with no surcharge, I was stayed 6 night at the hotel and get new towel every day. The room also provide seperate air condition in each room so, you can adjust the temperature in your room comopare with other hotel the air condition will control from center.
No water bottles provide in the room but you can bring your small bottles to fill the water at lobby. The bathroom has chorine smell but not much, it can be acceptable. The room is open and lock by normal key and need to give a key to a lobby when you go outside from the hotel but it's good for me because I don't need to worry to lost my room key in somewhere. 😁

The Hotel is situated nearby the Ueno Station which actually a convenience to us hopping to one destination to other, It is also near the ameoyoko street. I can say that the hotel is quite clean and they always change the towels and the toiletries everyday. they have a quite right room size for Asian like us,
They wouldn't allow to fill your tumbler to their water station at the reception. only paper cup is allowed to fill in. the dryer in the coin laundry can't totally dry all your clothes.

Second time stay. I like the location close to metro. The staffs are very helpful and friendly, allow early check out and late check in. I’ve booked the share bathroom room, then decided to upgrade because too cold. The room is bigger than the single room with bathroom. But I still like the single room with bathroom better, more privacy, also not too expensive to upgrade.
Hard to remember the path from JR to the hotel. Even though this was my second time stay in this hotel. I still couldn’t find my way easily. Hope to have a YouTube video on the website to walk to the hotel if possible.

Very friendly staff who happily stored our luggage both pre- and post- our stay. When we came back to the hotel to officially check in at 3pm our suitcases and bags had already been taken up to the room. We stayed in a Japanese style room as we were only there for one night and it worked out great. With the beds rolled up there was plenty of space to re-pack our suitcases for our long flight home. After checkout we could sit in reception, use the wifi, eat our 7-Eleven snacks, and had access to a toilet. A relatively short walk from the hotel to the Keisei-Ueno station for the Keisei Skyliner trip to Narita. Very happy with our choice of hotel!
