Tokyu Stay Shibuya Shin-Minamiguchi

The combo washer/dryer was nice to have.

I'm not sure they use a vacuum cleaner on the carpets. Black hairs were showing up on the non-carpeted surfaces. I'm bald and my daughter is blonde, so we knew it wasn't ours.

The location was excellent, having convenience stores and a station entrance nearby. It was very easy to locate. The room was nice, not too small, and having a washing machine was very helpful and a big part of why I booked here.

The only complaint that I have is that the building my room was in was actually in a separate annex building. I had no idea they even had a separate annex building, so after checking into the main building I had to walk to the annex building in order to access my room. This isn't a problem in and of itself, but it would have been nice to know about in advance.

the room was small but had everything we needed. washer and dryer, fridge, kettle and cooktop, microwave. the hotel suited our needs very well.

We found this to be an excellent hotel. It was our first time in Japan and our knowledge of the language is terrible but the staff were all, without exception, lovely and friendly and helpful. The washing machine in the room is genius. The mini kitchenette coupled with the 24hr Family Mart next door gives you many options for food if you are on a budget. Beds are wide and comfortable and we even had a balcony. All this just a short stroll from the craziness of Shibuya crossing

The only thing we were not thrilled about was you have to be up early to get a Japanese breakfast as that option runs out quickly, and the "western style" was not my favourite. If I'd have known I'd have refrained from paying for breakfast in advance and just went to one of the many excellent local cafes or grabbed something from the Family Mart

I got the room with 2 single beds for my husband and I. Absolutely loved our stay here. Loved that there was plenty of space under the beds to put our suitcases out of the way. Our little balcony was a treat I wasn't expecting, and allowed us to get fresh air into the room too. Washing machine and small kitchenette definitely came in handy. Location was great with the train station nearby, Family Mart next door and a short walk to Shibuya Scramble Square. Staff were very nice, even filled in the form for Kura Neko to have our luggage shipped.

The only downside was the sounds of the trains being so close to the train line, but did get used to it and the trains do stop between midnight and 5-6am-ish.

Great location! Room size is good, free coffee in lobby, family mart is downstairs, Shibuya New South gate is within 5 mins walk, great cafe for fluffy pancakes nearby called Hawaiians.

Dovet didnt have a dovet cover on, only had a single sheet under it to seperate from bed sheet, couldn't tell if the dovet is clean or not as the side facing in is yellow colour looks dirty! Reception doesn't even have spare sheet available to rent, I had to sleep with bathrobes as dovet. Receptionists English is very poor, when asking about simple direction questions, they didn't have the knowledge and had to Google where we could take bullet train...

Close proximity to Shibuya station, and within walking distance of the centre; just far enough from the bustle of Shibuya crossing and the surrounding areas. Staff was always warm and professional , spoke perfect English and very helpful! The room has a tiny balcony attached to it so you can go out and enjoy some fresh air even at night. There is a Lawson, McDonald’s and Family Mart close by. If you walk slightly further you will see two other Family Mart konbinis and Tomod’s drug store. Overall very convenient!!

None - It is pretty close to the station so you will hear sound of the trains passing regularly which may be annoying to some people but the glass doors are pretty good at blocking the sound regardless.

The washing machine in the room was very helpful, and the coffee machine in the hall is a plus. The location of the hotel was perfect, very close to a family mart and, most importantly, to the shibuya station (but not too close, so it wasn’t chaotic). The staff was nice.

I didn’t like the whole breakfast system. There’s not a buffet, you can only choose between japanese and western breakfast and they will give you a couple of dishes to warm up in your own room. The choice is very limited and the western style in particular didn’t reflect a good western breakfast (they gave you like a soup and a toast, no croissants/cakes/sweets/cereals etc). They will only clean your room once a week, if you want your room fully cleaned you have to pay extra, otherwise you can only ask to chance your towels and empty the bins.

One of my favourite hotels during my one month trip to Japan! I was placed in the annex building which is even closer to the main road and Shibuya Station. Room was great for a single person! Came with a microwave and TV and even a balcony. The annex building also had some vending machines nearby and one inside the building. It was very quiet considering how close I was to the station and there was a ton of food options and convenience stores nearby. And even a foot massage place which I frequented due to walking so many steps. Amazing value for your money.

Great amenities with the washer/dryer, kitchen sink, kitchen counter, kitchenware, and all very clean. I loved the convenience of laundry anytime of day in the comfort of my room. The size of room wasn’t too small and was a comfortable stay. The staff was also very considerate and polite. Also very close to Shibuya Station that runs many major train lines. Additionally, it is close enough to shops and the Shibuya crossing but still at a quiet location. I would definitely stay again.

No major issues. If I had to suggest, have more tv channels.
