The size of the room was excellent, and the location of the hotel was in the center of Almaty. We tried the Spa.. it was great and very professional and most enjoyable. The Spa facilities were great and very clean. The Breakfast was superb.... Also, Transportation (Taxi's ) are super cheap as long as you use their own application (YANDEXGO) similar to UBER. All shopping malls are within minutes taxi trips. Brand shopping malls are available and also very affordable malls are available.

Not much.. My only concern was that Kazakhstan being a majority Muslim country did not have labels on food that may contain Ham/Pork. and another thing and this general in Kazakhstan that English language is not very common even at tourist attractions areas and restaurants. Always use YANDEXGO taxi, its very convenient and super cheap, otherwise you could pay 10x times more for taxi. Taxi's even at airport will always say that they use Tariff.. but its not true, so get a SIM card at the airport and install YANDEXGO and order taxi to any locations, its very cheap.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. Our room was large and comfortable with just a couple of issues. The gym, spa, and pool are high quality and very well-outfitted, as is the reception/cafe area. The staff were kind, courteous, and professional; I would particularly like to single out Denis who did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel breakfast was good, and the breakfast room was comfortable and set out well, service was excellent.

Our room, while clean, was a little dated and the fixtures and fittings showed signs of wear and tear. We had problems with a constant drain smell in the bathroom, and the shower also seemed to manage to flood the floor no matter what we did. The TV had a good selection of channels, though the reception was consistently poor.

Location is perfect, it’s walking distance to most touristic sights. There is a breakfast buffet and it is offering good variety of food. Staff is helpful and kind. I would def go back in the same hotel. Qatar lost our baggage so the hotel receptionist called several mornings at the airport to check if the baggage arrived which was very helpful for us as we didn’t speak Russian and they didn’t speak English.

When we arrived the room was very cold and the AC was not warming it up , but I went to reception and they provided a heater that was brought by the house keeping. They quickly resolved the issue. As we arrived very early in the morning 5am, we took shower and water was not that hot and I imagine it’s because nobody was using it overnight and it needed time to get to our floor which was the last one. Extremely comfortable beds....and nice location at walking distance to most locations. Have to specifically mention the girl at the reception (name - Gunim, if i am not wrong). We checked out today morning by2.30 am and she was alone at the reception. There was no bell boy available but she came all the way up with with the trolley and pushed our baggages alone to the reception for checkout. Suggest the hotel keep atleast one male staff during night times to do these assistance. Thanks very much to her for her commitment to her job.

Suggest having kettles in the room and the hair dryer in the toilet takes ages to dry .

Sensational. A particularly pleasant location located in the old center area, close to many tourist attractions and many restaurants. The staff is particularly kind, the facilities in the SPA area are very good, the restaurant with varied breakfast, but the pearl of the hotel was Mr. Denis from the entrance, a true gentleman as you rarely find, a very intelligent person, it was a pleasure to meet him ( thank you Denis...for your kindness, for your initiative....you understand why....) I will definitely come back here every time I come to Almaty

Check-in was smooth despite a challenge with the English language. The location is great and I could enjoy some short walks to the nearby park and other of Almaty's attractions.

My room (#120) had trouble with the showerhead not staying fixed and spraying water all over the bathroom. The general look of the shower was really old and worn-out. Worst was the fact that the main elevators were not working (under maintenance) and the back-up elevators were not marked properly for use when decending from the upper floors resulting in carrying heavy luggage down the staircases. My request for a wake-up call in the early morning hours also did not realize and I suspect that to be because of the language barrier which existed at the time of request despite confirmation that it would be done. Thank goodness for my functioning personal alarm clock.

Breakfast was good/clean room/comfy bed/small but cozy room/the hotel is cozy and beautifully designed with cute elevator :)

I wish I had a kettle in the room to make tea. for a 4 star hotel , they could have thought of an electric kettle. Hotel doesn't provide excursions or tours unfortunately and English is an issue. communication is difficult with anyone as they don't speak English. I wish they had more English, French speaking tv channels. it is so boring to only see channels in Russian or Kasakh!!

Location is very nice, near many parks and restaurants, all surrounded by pleasant pedestrian roads. Tall trees are everywhere. The hotel itself is cozy and aesthetically pleasing, equipped with all the necessary amenities. Service is impeccable, and the mattress and pillows are comfortable and soft.

Actually, there are no significant issues. I believe the price-to-quality ratio justifies any minor shortcomings.

it’s old Architecture. it seems it was the office of officers during the soviet days.

I think the heating in the room. either it was too warm or cold if kept the window open. personally I am not used to heating system so may be I don’t know how to operate. the shower was a big issue. it was either getting too hot or cold. couldn’t maintain balance. they provide free drinking water bottle each day around 3pm. some days they didn’t give so I had to ask for it.
