The best 5 star hotel. We always stay at Dostyk, whenever we are in Almaty!

The WIFI works, but I wish the connection was much better! Nothing else.

The Staff are excellent. From the well spoken staff at reception, to the room service and wait staff in the restaurant. The reception staff spoke excellent English and they are just the nicest. Excellent breakfast buffet. So many options. The location was good. There was a small grocery store nearby and a bank to withdraw cash.

The fluctuation water temperature in the shower made it impossible to shower. It was either boiling hot or ice cold. This needs to be fixed. Staff need to know where to go for souvenirs. At the moment, nobody knows and sent us to places that didn't have them, which is a big deal when you're short on time.

Nice hotel in a great location. Very nice spa/swimming pool/gym facility. Rooms are a bit outdated but very clean /comfortable and generally quite large with plenty of space.

Breakfast was a bit of a let down, same thing every day and quite bland. One would expect a better option for a 5 star hotel. Hotel is catered towards the airline staff and business travelers so it gets blocked / reserved quite quickly but rooms can become available last minute, so need to continuously check with the hotel about availability or if need to extend your stay, as it always shows fully booked on booking platforms.

The rooms were very clean and the Bed was very comfortable. The spa and the gym were perfect. The Staff at the reception was super, The Lady who checked us in was professional, smiling, helpful, and gave us good guidance as tourists. The Housekeeping staff were very friendly, smiling and did a great job with cleaning of rooms.

The Breakfast was decent but could have been better. For example a nice live counter making eggs, some more option of cereals, yoghurt, etc. And nothing changed in the buffet. So if someone is staying for a few days, then there is noting exciting in the bfast. Nevertheless, it was a decent breakfast.

the shower and bathtub leaked, leaving the bathroom floor dangerously wet and nothing could be done about it; the bathrobes were very old and worn, not at all worthy of a 5-star hotel; the water in the shower was either hot or cold; the lighting system in the room was also very confusing and there were only two small pillows on the bed; loud music in the hallway late at night (i had to call the front desk to turn it off).

Great location, huge, well-appointed room. Breakfast was varied and excellent quality, with espresso drink, meats, cheeses, breads, jams, fruits, vegetables, and a huge assortment of pastries. The hotel arranged airport transportation for a very reasonable rate, and allowed us to check in at 6 AM (and get breakfast) for a reasonable add-on.

The air conditioning didn’t cool the room well. It wasn’t terribly hot, but a little stuffier than I prefer. Thankfully, you could also own the windows.

I loved the kindness of staff they couldn't do enough for us.

Cleanliness, location, and all of the hotel facilities were working and maintained very well. Not a single socket wasn't working, but sockets by the bed weren't positioned comfortably. The swimming pool was clean and big enough for the size of the hotel.

Quite clean, well maintained, close to metro and lots of cafés and restaurants. Room and bathroom were quite spacious. Reception staff spoke English and were quite helpful.

Curtains were light and did not block sunlight. Unless you have an eye mask you might wake up early in summer. Pillows were quite light - no pillow choices were available in the room.

I was extremely happy to be a resident of Dostyk Hotel. Property has met my expectations on all parameters. Especially staff, very helpful and amazing people. I also have ordered transfer from and to airport, drivers are amazing, helped with luggage and some advices also where to go, what to do if you first time in Kazakhstan.

There is nothing to say, everything is good.

Nice , clean and comfortable rooms! The heated bathrooms were fantastic to come back at the end of the day. Good central location and walkable to restaurants , bars around. Polite and courteous staff! Promptly arranged for airport pick up on request.

The breakfast options were quite limited. Very few vegetarian options. Manageable.
