*The apartment is very clean and smells clean. * Its location is very excellent, close to many restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. * A very beautiful view from the fountain side . * Excellent dealings with the apartment owners while providing all the necessary needs in the apartment.

* The air conditioner is only in the hall, which makes it difficult for air to reach the bedroom, but in general the atmosphere is suitable for the apartment. * If the apartment is on the second or third floor, there is no elevator in the building * The internet in the bedroom is slow

The apartment is located in the heart of Almaty's cultural and largely pedestranised area with excellent choice of restaurants, coffee shops and many many fountains that make the summer stay particularly pleasant. The Stolichny supermarket is just across the road with great choice of groceries and what is not. As a family of four with small children we loved the excellently equipped and spacious apartment that allowed us to blend into the city life but yet to have a home away from home and to enjoy the advantages of regular cleaning services provided by the host. The apart-hotel's owner was fully hands on, easy to reach at any point of time and all our requests were promptly addressed and responded to. A small note regarding the apartment block - dont be put off by the soviet era entrance hall, this is a typical "Stalin" era build which is in fact quite grand and robust, once the common entrance is passed the apartment itself is modern and fresh with all the amenities required including air-conditioning, lovely kitchen nook and spacious bathrooms with a washing machine. Fabulous experience all in all.

Opera apartments is conveniently located in the heart of the old center with wonderful restaurants, cafes and main historical attractions in the walking distance. It’s a quiet street, which gives a safe and comforting stay. The apartments are well furnished and have everything one needs for comfortable living. I have stayed here many times and it’s my ‘hidden gem’ place to stay.

There is nothing not to like. The staff is very helpful and always on the site. Aibek is a very helpful and kind young man.

Fantastic location, right in center of town but quiet as its in part of an older but renovated apartment complex which has its own courtyard. Close to good cafes and the Panfilov walking street and one minute walk from PlatformA - which is great for food and drinks. Very nice interior and good communication from host, including on arrival after hours. Good wifi, kitchen, washing machine and comfortable bed.

Nothing - it was perfect. I didn’t know how to use the TV but it didn’t matter as I wasn’t there to watch TV anyway.

great location, large renovated apartment with plenty of closet space

there was a crib and child chair, that we didn't need/use and prefer not to have it in the space, Also, there was no floor or table lamps anywhere in the apartment, we had to use main lights which isn't cozy/intimate. Obviously these are easy fixes. Also the coffee maker is small k-cup style and wasn't nearly enough for me, so I had to by pour over set and filters to make enough coffee in the morning.

Location is great, it's very central. The park is amazing near the otel apartment. Many parks, restaurants in walking distance. WiFi is good, TV is good size and streaming services available. Electric sockets everywhere. Shower is perfect, good water pressure Kitchen is equipped enough to do everything you need. Courtyard trees view refreshing

Found it darker then I expected, maybe upper floors might be better. Bed was too soft.

Location, fountains & park off the balcony, modern renovation, quiet building

As it is an apartment, there is no signage or reception. The entrance is in the back of the building, with no indication of Opera Apartments. Its easy once you know, but confusing my first day hauling around my luggage. Upon arrival, maybe easiest to meet the property manager or cleaner at the circular fountain that is in front of the apartment.

Absolutely wonderful apartment in one of the best locations in Almaty. Very close to the most interesting places (within walking distance) and in the pedestrian area with fountain right across the terrace. Modern, perfectly furnished. Big living room, excellent bathroom, comfortable bed. Very clean…With regards to apartment everything is top!

Not easy to find, and even when you contact the host and say “I am 90 meters from you in front of flower shop x” he does not know where it is?! And if you ask for help for transport to another city he knows no agency no taxi… nothing. In one sentence: he is polite but useless… Sorry for being so critical but in a new city you expect a minimum of assistance. I will however not take this into account when rating as both the apartment and notably the city exceeded my expectations.

We have really enjoyed our stay in Opera Apartments and overall in Almaty. The apartment was located in a great place, right next to the opera, yet facing the quiet internal yard. There are many great cafes, restaurant and parks around, and it's easy to reach major attractions of the city. The apartment was very clean, and we are very grateful for allowing us to check-in early. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessities, and all devices were functioning properly.

We don't have anything major to complain about. Only the sofa in the living room was slightly uncomfortable to sleep on, and especially it was making loud noises. I would also recommend providing more towels.

The apartment is in a great location. The manager gave us clear instructions and it was very easy to find the apartment even though we arrived very late at night. Everything was well thought out. We had toothbrushes and slippers which is not something you always get when you book an apartment. The kitchen has most of the things you need to cook.

Some of the kitchen tools need to be changed. The pan was full of scratches and the knives were not very sharp.
