Great location, good breakfast. The rooms are quiet, clean and cozy, with modern design, the furniture is new and the room is provided with everything you need. They also gave a welcome compliment - apples, nuts and water - it was nice. I liked the idea of glass bottles instead of plastic ones - they try to stay green.

- On the first day of my stay the restaurant was full of dirty dishes so I couldn’t find a clean table to have my breakfast. - Sometimes the cleaning at the room was not perfect. - The water massage pipes at the swimming pool didn’t work and the reception lady couldn’t answer why. - One day I didn’t feel well and I asked for a thermometer at the reception. They told me they were not sure they had one and never called me back.

Nice location, right next to Kok Tobe. You also get a 30% discount to visit Kok Tobe, just ask for voichers at the reception. Very clean.

The AC was not working properly as we tried to turn the temperature down and didn't see the fifference. The staff at the bar and restaurant at the lobby is very slow, don't pay much attention to you doing their own things. At the restaurant the guy got my order wrong and brought me something I didn't order. Think the management should work with the staff there. The good thing there is plenty of places to eat around so you don't have to eat at the hotel.

The reception was manned by very efficient and friendly personnel. The room was cheery, airy, spacious and superbly designed, as was the bath area. Ditto for the common areas. Breakfast was good and there is adequate options in the food menu for vegetarians. The location is perfect! We liked the fact that there is a Water Refill Station in the corridor and a glass mug in the room, which eliminates the use of plastic bottles. We made a change to our booking and the management accepted to make adjustments to the amount already paid. We appreciate that.

Many of the staff are inexperienced, but hardworking nevertheless. They could do with some better supervision. Coffee at breakfast was not upto the mark and each day we paid 1650 in local currency for ordering coffee from the bar area. For a hotel that charges as much as Novotel does, that is simply unacceptable.

We were in Almaty to celebrate our 15th anniversary and the hotel staff made it special by getting us a cake and a bottle of sparkling wine. The hotel is well equipped and we had a gorgeous view from our room. It is also located in one of the most happening streets as we could literally walk to all places we wanted to eat or party at.

The hotel is amazing. The staff is always very nice and friendly. The facilities are not only clean, but also of exceptional extent! Also the room was perfectly clean and big. The wifi is perfectly good and the network coverage is amazing.

The only thing the hotel could work on is the breakfast. The bread was unfortunately stale and the fish had a very unpleasant smell after a while. However the chocolate croissants were very good. For the money a rather below average experience though.

drinks at bar not strong and overpriced room was expensive compared to others and quite small for price service was slow and staff was a bit robotic and impersonal compared to other hotel stays. bar lighting was not inviting for evening lounging very bright

Location is very good. All facilities and staff behavior was nice. The rooms were small but good.

It was very hot during the stay inside the rooms and we were told that in winter season the ACs will not work and they are only heated. if we are feeling too hot then we should open the window. I am not sure but it may be some protocol which they have to follow, however, it was not comfortable.

The staff, room, location - all was great! The best hotel in Almaty. I had a room at the 5th floor with the park view. There is a bit noise from the A/C at the roof,but I was ok this that.Overall the room is very comfortable. The spa is ok, but the sauna is too small and located in changing room.

I didn’t use a breakfast, it was too expensive.There are a lot of good cafes around the hotel,it was not a problem to walk.

Location is Superb, Hotel is also very good. RECEPTION Stuffs are very good. only one think I didn't like that is house keeping. They are not changed the pillow cover or bed sheets in my 5 night stay. As per their policy they are supposed to give 2 bottle of water every day. but unfortunately almost all the days I have to tell them regarding this then only they provide the water. Secondly House keepings room cleaning is horrible. Even for the change of towels also they did after my request. No refiling of tea bags and milk after first day which is not at all accepted in these category hotels. Breakfast also very good. Over all i am satisfied apart from housekeeping.

House keeping

Breakfast very good quality. Only can get somewhat crowded after 9am. Great service all times of the day from Team. Comfortable room in a central location. Quality of food good. Turn around on laundry very quick. Right next to Kok _ToBe.

Housekeeping often forgot to replace the laundry list in the room and had to be reminded The taxi that we hired via reception to the airport and for which we paid at reception, on arrival at the airport, the taxi driver asked for money which we gave him as we were confused. Warn future guests of this problem. We haven't had a suitable answer back from Novotel as to the result of their investigation
