Great view, friendly staff, excellent room service and a nice variety of local cuisine at the buffet. It's in the perfect location being almost exactly in the middle of the Mombasa island and Haller Park. Highly recommended if you're wanting to visit places in Mombasa, but if you're looking for a resort hotel then Nyali Beach probably isn't the best choice. 10/10 and I will most certainly be staying here again!

A few more fish dishes as well as pork sausages and bacon at breakfast would've made this perfect.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. I’m extremely satisfied by the way the staff handles the guests, very polite, helpful and friendly. The hotel is definitely a great value for money, the location is superb, lying directly on the Nyali beach, one of the nicest beaches I’ve ever been to. The food is nice, make sure to book a room with a coast view and breakfast included. Their breakfast is very nice. DON’T forget to try their massage, the best I’ve had.

The wifi is not that great especially in the room. The dining room for dinner has a wonderful view to the pool. However, that’s ruined by the annoying cats coming and asking for food

Excellent swimming pools, good breakfast and dinner buffets with a mix of continental and local cuisines and a live cooling station (pancakes/eggs/pasta). Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms with a proper balcony with sufficient sitting space.

Hotel layout isn’t straightforward and was initially confusing to navigate as there are no indicators to find the room or reception. During heavy rain there was some roof leakage in public areas (rooms are fine).

Breakfast menu options were great. Dinner menu options were ok. The room was great: ample space, amazing view and always clean.

Breakfast- there were no samosas on all 5 days. Dinner- The greens/vegetables were not tasty. They can definitely taste better. Room- Lack of floor mats. The rooms need door/floor mats, outside the main door and outside the washrooms- with all the sand, the room gets sandy quickly and you have to use the towels to wipe your feet.

The staff were very pleasant through our entire stay. It's a great accessible location very close to many other conveniences should one wish to explore. Quite secure despite being near next to a major public access to the beach. Clean and comfortable with lots of activities to engage both adults & kids. Super clean pools & large stocked gymn. Didn't get a chance to explore the Spa. For its rates, Nyali Sun Africa Beach Hotel & Spa offers about the best value for money at the coast! We had lost of fun and plan to be back without a doubt!

If your booking excl a meal plans (HB/ FB/ AI) - were on BB to free ourselves to explore around - you may find their add-on meal rates a bit steep. Being an older facility, they have some maintenance needs but the staff respond promptly when called upon. Their beach front is next to a public access so you can have quite some numbers esp in the afternoons but the management works to avoid crowding & excess of the beach traders on their frontage; but keeping it spotless with those numbers can be a challenge. We still did our beach explorations without undue harassment or hindrance.

The location, the massive scenic beauty from the hotel as the property is just next to the beach, plenty of space for playing and spending time within the property

When we arrived at the hotel around 9 pm our room was not prepared at all for us and after several rounds of follow up the house keeping team attended to us . We were disappointed and requested for room change the next day and we were moved to a smaller room but it was ok . The rooms seem a bit old and needs maintenance and house keeping did not seem to be very effective. Rest was all good.

The friendliness of the staff was unparalleled! They helped with everything, even when we had issues outside the hotel. The environment was beautiful and full of nature. Beautiful plants, birds and animals everywhere. Because we don't see monkeys in our country, their presence did not bother us they were fun to observe while sipping our morning coffee. The buffet breakfast was great and well worth the money

Slightly outdated rooms, yet very clean and well taken care of. This is not the fault of the hotel, but the beach is quite full of sellers and such. While it is called a private beach you really don't get much privacy as people will follow you on your walk if you are obviously a tourist.

The hotel is nice, the food, the swimming pools and the staff on the reception, specially the therapists on the spa and the cleaning staff. Even security and garden keepers are really nice! Makes you all feel at home

Paid for our stay during check in. Everything was ok until check out day when they told me that they had undercharged me and i needed to pay extra. That was a big inconvinience for me & i didn’t appreciate my family being held captive at a hotel for a mistake that wasn’t mine. I like paying in advance for hotel stays to avoid such! And it was quite humiliating! Am never choosing to pay at a property option again.
