Our stay at The Grand Gables was exceptional. it had all the facilities we needed during our stay. The beds were comfortable and cozy. The location was very convenient to Sarit Centre and the city centre. It was indeed a value for money. The staff we extra friendly always ready to help and we highly appreciate one staff at the gate named James. He was really helpful and friendly to us and we highly appreciate his warm welcome.

Very good location, very nice staff,good restaurants nearby, super stores nearby,peaceful area, suffra restaurants next door, Uber easily available.

They don't provide complimentary water bottles after first day of arrival.

We loved the traditional architecture and furnishings. The staff (especially the gate staff) were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The cleaning team made the rooms look great!

We didn’t like that there was limited utensils in the kitchen and had to go out and purchase items to be able to cook/prep decent food. Would also have been nice if the sauna/steam room was turned on and if possible to have the pool heated (extremely cold) as the sun doesn’t catch the pool enough to heat it naturally.

I loved the staff and the room which felt very much home! If your in for a long holiday, this is the place! I sure would come back again!

There was no Air conditioner which is the only drawback. It has good cross ventilation but in the evenings mosquito messes the party! The location is a bit far from happening place, here it is very residential

The architecture. The fact that it was very serene and quiet. The birds chirping away in the morning. The staff were friendly and lovely. The manager at the Restaurant and the staff that day, McKenzie and Isaiah; Exceptional. :-) Easy to order food as the restaurants nearby.

They had no smart TV. Please let guests know that there are more blankets above the cabinets. I called and reception were gone and I just had to check and Thank God I found some blankets. The food was very salty and didn't taste like butter chicken. Not much to choose from so I would suggest mixing up the menu a little bit. The pool was not heated. Nairobi isn't exactly a tropical city but it is still a lovely pool.

The property was located in a convenient and quiet area. You were able to get services like cabs within a few minutes. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Most of all I feel safe when I walked around the area and people were so helpful when I asked for directions or anything. The place is very very quiet and the pool is adequate for kids. I like the fact that it was very clean.

what’s not like about this property. The TV was not working in our room however we were not there all day so it didn’t bother much. It was not a dealbreaker. If you have luggage you can ask for assistance to move your luggage if you are living or staying in a room that’s on the upper floors as there are no elevators. That’s all I can say

Very pleasant vibes in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Location is prime, just a few minutes off the main Kisumu-Nairobi highway. Sarit center is a few minutes away by car where you can easily purchase groceries or go out to eat. Will be back!

Wi-FI was slower than my expectations but that is because I work remotely and have video calls. Also, it was slower in the room as compared to the living room where it seemed to work decent for Youtube streaming on 1-2 devices. To get around this, I used my personal hotspot on Safaricom which offers decent internet packages.

The location was great with a grocery store 2 minutes walk away and Art Cafe (say no more) only 5 minutes walk. The accommodation felt like home and although limited kitchen equipment was provided, it was all you could possibly need. It felt very secure and as others have posted, the gate guards were an excellent representation of the establishment; so helpful and cheerful. I’d love to come back!

Pool area very small, but did the job. A bit noisy on the road outside and with early morning airport departures on cobbles … but request a fan and it hides a lot.

The location was great and the surroundings were quiet. nice decor and the small patio with the pool was lovely The guard that greeted us, name was Constant, he was really a friendly character, super helpful and certainly made us feel welcome. don’t let that guy go. We stayed in 2b all the stuff that came with the apartment was really clean. Showers were nice and hot and lots of pressure. Beds were comfy and felt clean to sleep in. overall a great place to stay and look forward to coming back soon.

The sofas in the room had no cushions and could possibly be booked in for a deep clean. other than that the place was clean for sure. Considering the age some of the wooden furniture like shelves and that look a bit dated however still okay.

very nice and big apartment. we also liked a lot the architecture of the property complex.

we were there in august and it was a bit cold - it could be nice if they could put some heating system. the breakfast is made in an other location and delivered in the room.
