three free laundry machines are placed inside the female shower room right next to the hot spring, very convenient to use and there is no need to queue for long time like in other hotels.

there is no elevator at the metro exit which is closest to the hotel.

This was our first visit to Japan and our first stop and Dormy set the bar quite high! Wonderful location, amazing onsen experience from the yubata, to the hot, cold, sauna components to the laundry facilities to the comic room and ice cream, such a treat!! And I really enjoyed the udon on the evenings. Breakfasts great too, really a wonderful place to stay!

Us, not having more time to stay in Japan!! I recently read a blog on the history of Dormy and found it quite interesting. You could share your story more, it's very warm and inviting and very high on customer experience without a high price. Something more American business should aspire to.

Clean onsen with free washer (dryer costs 100 yen per 20 mins). Room is small but decent for 3 beds. Location is great to lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. You could feels subway vibration a bit as I stayed on 3F but only if you really paid attention.I still got great sleep. Car parking costed 1600 yen per night,our car is toyota vellfire ,so we have to park on the building nearby b/c size was too large but still at the same price. We were told to take the car out after 8 am the next morning. Free coffee throughout the day at lobby and onsen floor. It made the lobby smelled great Good breakfast with eel dish every morning.

Only small pillow per bed. Milk vending machine ran out of all kinds of milk on Sunday ,got to buy at family mart nearby.

The room is quite large and the location is conveniently located a five-minute walk from the subway. The foreign language skills of the front desk staff are quite good whether on the phone or in person(chines/English). The spa and sauna services are comfortable, popular and easy to use. Breakfast is delicious and there are many Nagoya-specific dishes and There is also a free coffee machine available in the hotel .Overall it's a pretty good hotel. Will visit again.

a minor damage to the bathroom equipment, generally nothing bad about it. In addition, there is an instruction manual in the sauna area that i think it can be relocated in the locker area . This may be okay for locals, but it may be better for foreigners to read it before using the sauna service.

If I travel again to Japan I will definitely look to stay at a Dormy Inn. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The rooms were small, but typical for Japan, so travelers should keep that in mind (it was not an issue for our group). We were centrally located and close to restaurants and the main shopping area. The highlights were the excellent breakfast buffet which included freshly prepared Japanese dishes - soup, grilled fish, rice, tempura, pickles, salads - and some more western items - croissants, toast, eggs. Free late night ramen and ice cream were also a hit. The onsen was a treat; two hot tubs, a cold pool, and sauna. Excellent value and helpful staff.

The onsite onsen. Great drinks and free food which the hotel provided. The front desk was really helpful and patient with my queries. The breakfast spread was great and lots of awesome dishes. The supper at night was a welcome touch. The laundromat was fantastic. The dryer was the best. Clothes came out dry with minimal air-drying required.

The hotel was very crowded and we had to wait long for the lifts. The onsen was generally crowded during my stay. Breakfast was also crowded with my people who stayed over.

Great facilities and great value for money

Room was comfortable and fairly well spaced. We could open up a suitcase to pack and unpack things without too much difficulty. The separation of space between the entrance area and the bedroom area was nice and gave us some space outside of the bedroom to hold our luggage. There are a good number of freebies you would get for staying here: * Hygiene tools like toothbrushes, combs, etc. * A hot spring with indoor, outdoor baths and a sauna * Free post bath refreshments * Free ramen from 9:30pm to 11:00pm If you don't need an elevator, getting here by transit is very convenient, and mostly under cover. Just get off at Fushimi Station, go through the Fushimi underground street on the east side, and pop out at Exit E - Dormy is just across the street. The location is a short walk away from Sakae, with lots of food options.

This is more of a nitpick than anything, but the indoor bath kind of left a feeling of a slippery layer on the skin, whereas the outdoor bath left the skin feeling pretty dried up.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was a very short nice walk to hotel from train exit. really loved the onsen! It also has a cold pool, and a little outdoor pool. Soaking in the mineral-filled onsen was really fantastic. feels really great after the bath! not to forget, the ice cream that’s available in the common room for all after a bath, the small bowl of hot soba for supper…small bottle of yogurt drink that for all after a morning soak in the bath- totally complete the whole bath experience, or should I say, the whole experience staying at Dormy Inn Sakae.

not extremely near to Fushimi station- so don’t have too many luggage. but a comfortable walk to the hotel.
