I love the location honestly because it’s close to everything, but the area itself was very dirty.

How dirty the area around the building was. Also it was very hot in the hallways. There also was a slug in my bed i took a picture as well.

The property was super clean, there was always cleaners everywhere. The location is amazing, is on the street corner so if you stay at the same street you have the metro red line civil centre and if you go down the street you have the metro yellow line. The metro takes you everywhere and the fair is cheap $1.75 per trip. The hotel is very near central market, that was good for breakfast. And there's a cafe next to the hotel, it was good too. I didn't feel unsaved on that street at all. All homeless people are on the way walking to the fashion district, i think st pedro street. Overall i did enjoy my stay. Thank you Kawada

My room was a bit small but that was what i paid for. Still everything was working fine including the a/c.

The room was not big but had everything I needed. It was especially helpful to have a coffee maker and a little fridge. The iron/ironing board can be requested at the reception. The breakfast place "Cherry Pick Cafe" by the hotel working during weekdays was lovely and the "Grand Central Market" had great options during the weekend. A couple of blocks around the hotel and safe and walkable. The metro station is 2-3 blocks away and is very clean and safe.

It would be nice to have some lotion in the bathroom, a thicker blanket, and thicker pillows (yet, I should note that it was very clean). The AC smelled a little when it was on.

I like the KAWADA for the location, location, location … four minutes to Grand Avenue, the Broad Museum, MOCA, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, posh dining at Jose Andreas’s SAN LAUREL Restaurant … a block away from Central Market … 15 minutes from the Last Bookstore in the World on Spring and 5th … and, walkable to Little Tokyo.

No closet, no bar soap, no iron, small refrigerator … difficulty with shower/ turning on the hot water took forever. There was a cockroach in the bathroom!

I asked if there was a shelter nearby to donate them to. They said they would send them to a local church that they support

Booking said two double beds, they were singles. Not a huge deal. They were comfortable Wood floors rather than carpet felt colder and less cosy

Wonderful location, privacy, clean and good sheets/towels, comfortable mattress and pillows, AC, toiletries, drying fan, Wi-Fi, coffee maker, micro wave, fridge. Everything matches to description and photos.

There is no safe, AC is very loud. Coffee maker is very miserable. Better than nothing I would say but could be better for same little money. Floor in bathroom has very weird slope. The size of bathroom itself is pretty large, why all water from shower area is flooding to the entrance door? After shower you will have puddle at the bathroom door, all floor in the bathroom is wet as well. It is not something significant, definitely I do not reduce my downgrade because of it.

The room was bare bones but clean. two twin beds. Nice people at door and desk. Short walk to performance halls and museums (up the hill), and Little Tokyo.

Turns out you don't get a blanket unless you ask for one. The window doesn't open. Tiny coffee pot that had to be replaced that only heats water with instant coffee in packets. Few restaurant meals were overpriced and over produced. Particularly breakfast at Double Tree Inn. Cheery Pick Cafe was a fine get-started breakfast sandwich though. Indian food down the street, best meal: Badaash.

Great deal for the price - clean, centrally located, friendly staff

We weren't told the parking was not free and were surprised it cost $40 a day.

We booked a queen bed room. The bed was a full. For most people it's not a big deal but my partner and I are tall so that extra room makes a huge difference. We just couldn't sleep well on the smaller bed (and it's not what we paid for) . The rooms are not sound proof one bit. We could hear our next door neighbors going at it all night. After a night of no sleep due to noise and wrong bed size we were woken up really early by housekeeping, way before checkout time.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was very good. Close to the center, few meters from the Central Market and the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

The staff was very kind, apart from one employee who was almost hostile to the clients. Even if you had a question, he almost did not answer. Also they overcharged me 10 dollars by check-in, they promised to pay back after check out, but they never did it.
