The 5 Elements Hotel Chinatown Kuala Lumpur

Smooth check in. Clean big room with good air-conditioning and shower. We get rooms closed to each others as requested. Staff at reception were helpful and friendly especially Nick. Restaurants, cafes and eateries are just opposite the hotel and shopping is few steps away. Public transport is 200m away. it is within walking distance to Central market, Merdeka Sq, Jamek Mosque and River of Life. Daily breakfast comes with 2 types of cereals, milk, a fruit item, a noodle dish, a soup, chicken sausages, pototoes wedges (not so suitable for breakfast), fried eggs, both white and whole meal breads, butter, peanut butter and jam with tea and coffee.

None. Will be good if hotel can provide both hard boiled and fried eggs instead of fried eggs only. Am giving rating of 9 as there is always room for improvements.

very strategic place near so many eateries and near Petaling street. the staffs are very warm and friendly as well and they let us check in early for one room as it was available at that time. parking also was easy and just Rm5 for a whole day below the hotel.

one of our rooms (Room 705) had problems with the hot shower, no hot water coming out at all and the same room also had problem with the access card, had to go down a few times to get the card checked.

Our second stay at the Five elements, Rooms were clean, Friendly staff, good bufett breakfast. The best area to stay in KL right in front of the China town market, food stalls and restaurants, no shortage of food. Not to far from a lot of the attractions.

Excellent location. It was quite yet central to the main town.

Staff were all very polite and helpfull. Although the hotels location was very good unfortunately I chose to stay there on the Chinese new year therefore, I was still awake at four in the morning with fireworks and crackers exploding. I am now going to Penang for a few weeks but I will be returning to The Five Elements Hotel for a further four nights because, I liked the hotel and the staff. Also the fireworks will have stopped by then.

Nothing, on previous trips to KLM I have tended to find hotels in and around the Bintang Rd area of KLM however, in future I will defiantly be returning to The Five Elements Hotel.

Good location, alot of place for food

When I book tru BOOKING APP.....the price was different... when I check-in the price is different... I felt like got cheated.

Responsive, efficient staff. Requests for iron, ironing board, extra pillows, new batteries for the safe, toilet paper, umbrella when it rained outside, extra card key, etc. were promptly entertained. Very close to different kinds of good local food. A number of famous hawkers and cafes on the street itself. There are also 2 pharmacies and a 24-hr convenience store a few doors away.

I enjoyed my stay but have 2 minor gripes related to the room I was given: While I was pleased to be given a higher floor unit with a good view, the door of that 11-floor unit could only be closed with a very loud slam. Must have disturbed other guests. The aircon panel was unresponsive and I had to press repeatedly to change the settings. But, on the whole, I am very satisfied with my stay.

Check in was a little clunky, with one of the receptionists not knowing what she was doing. I was initially sent to the wrong room, but the other staff saw the mistake, and moved to the room I had booked. It was the suite, and it was stunning. Beautiful views of the city, very roomy, and extremely comfortable. I had accidently left a scarf behind, and the staff have been very helpful with finding it and returning it. Thank you

The new receptionist needs more training!

Being in the heart of Chinatown with its many restaurants and eateries was nice. It was Chinese New Year so that we could experience dragon dances in many places. A little welcome basket was a surprise. The room was spacious and quiet, which was very important to us, but badly illuminated.

There was too little light in the room The breakfast was not really satisfying. Every morning the same, never a change. Fruit was limited to mostly water melon
