Got a recommendation from two English guys when I was in Tanah Rata, so I booked the Tian Jing. It was so worth listening to the recommendation! The Hotel is exceptional. - Perfect location with a lot of street food nearby + Train Station in walking distance - Breakfast for 20 Ringit - Shower and Toilet are outdoor at the „balcony“ which I really liked! - Very nice rooms with a nice bed, good and quiet AC - Staff is very friendly - Cafebar downstairs overall I had a great stay and the proce is reasonable.

This hotel is amazing in every way. The check in was done quickly and the room shown to us was very nice. Everything is stylish but also functional and the highlight are the open air shower and toilet. Toilet, you might think? Yes toilet. It sounds weird enough, but the experience is very pleasant as you can't see any of your neighbours and rarely hear from anyone else. You either have a terrace with a tree in it or you have the balcony and look at the tips of the tree. Please note that its quite dark, as it is like a small private open air courtyard and the tree covers most of the light from above. But then again it is also very quiet because of that, as the street it is placed on is quite busy. Don't worry about insects, we had none, not even mosquitos. The hotel gives you incense to burn to prevent mosquitos. All in all a very pleasant and amazing experience and the location was unbeatable!!

It was not really possible to have breakfast in the hotel as the cafe opens at nine and has very little to choose for eating. But there was one store serving breakfast in 5 minutes walking distance. To make up for that, they gave us a voucher for one free coffee every day of our stay.

I absolutely fell in love with The Tian Jing hotel! It is conveniently located right in the middle of Chinatown. Upon entering the hotel, you leave the hustle and bustle of the street behind and you find yourself in a peaceful and atmospheric cafe/tea room. The hotel itself has a surprisingly modern, semi-industrial feel inside and the room was excellent. Although I had already read about the outside shower and toilet, the real experience was much nicer than expected. It gave the place a relaxed tropical twist. The lighting of the little outside garden area was very tasteful as well. The staff were amazing, super friendly and made you feel really welcome. I mostly spoke to Aung and he was a legend, organising Grab's, late check out, and when I asked him if he could recommend a place to eat, he just pointed to the night stall outside that had appeared in from the of the hotel. You literally can't go wrong in this place!

The only improvement I can think of is to serve some more small more choices for breakfast in the cafe.

Location: in the heart of Chinatown. Walking distance to patelling market, little India, colonial district and LRT/MRT stations. Could even walk to National Mosque, Islamic Art Museum and Butkit Bintang by Google Map or if you can find your way across the highway and Gombok River (but it’s fun and adventurous to navigate). Lots of Malaysian Chinese nearby. Love the one-of-the-kind BookXcess, must visit if you’re curious. Room: one-of a-kind washroom/toilet, quiet, and comfortable bed. Cafe: good coffee and nice place to relax. Staff: helpful and courteous

Travelled for work purposes, first thing to highlight is staff, super helpful and amazing people, they helped with my early morning check in without issues even thought check in time is usually after noon time. Another thing that amazed me is super clean room, bed sheets and towel, even in 4-5 star hotels sometimes can happen unpleasant incidents with cleanliness but Tian Jing Hotel is exceptional, trust me. Breakfast was just nice, location is very convenient for me, will definitely stay again once I'm in KL. Thank you!😊

all is perfect

The place is beautifully designed and has a character! The receptionist was super nice and friendly when I checked in, I got off a red-eye flight and was pretty tired, the receptionist let me check in a bit early, which I really appreciate! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable!! I booked a single room, usually single bed comes with one pillow, but I got two fluffy pillows!! The location is excellent, close to the MRT and there are lots of cafes, restaurants and stores nearby. I would definitely come back again!

no fridge in the room, since there are supermarkets and stores within one minute walk, I think a fridge isn't really necessary.

Love the ambiance and how spacious the room feels. The open space especially for their shower room is amazing even though you're sharing the open space with another tenant who is either on the first or second floor. Do not fret tho, they do provide good blinds for any of you who prefer privacy tho. The bed is the star. Despite being a boutique hotel, they provide the best kind of sleep accommodation! It's very comfortable and almost as if you're sleeping at the top star hotel. Their hospitality is great. Smooth transaction (checking in and out) even though the reception table is actually in the middle of a busy cafe. Be mindful, they need a deposit of 100myr in cash. So, please don't forget to spare some. Plus! It's so close to everything! You could go to few tourist spots by simply walking. Also, it's located near to a Pasar Seni MRT station which is extremely helpful for you to go around the city.

The noise. There's zero noise cancellation here. Since it's located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur then you'll be hearing all sorts of noise from outside. You could also hear other tenants talking, closing their doors, taking showers yadayada! So I don't really recommend to light sleepers.

Everything about this hotel was fab. Entering through a café, the desk, the check-in was so simple and easy. The person behind the desk was super nice, happy to answer all our questions, made the effort to show us everything in our room. It was an absolute delight. We loved the "balcony bathroom", it was great! Definitely an experience! Located so centrally, the café closes early and only guests can enter. Later in the evening the pavement is filled with street vendors and are open till 3 AM BUT no noise in the rooms. Petaling street, central market, Sin Sze Si Ya Temple are so close couple mins walk each. We absolutely loved this hotel. The two people who assisted us with check in and check out were great, super helpful.

Lovely, just lovely Clean comfortable bed and room. Plenty of hot water. Good internet. Had safe and TV but I didnt use either. I really liked the toilet and shower on the terrace with the exposed piping. A great idea! Cooked breakfast was tasty. It was cooked to order, no breakfast buffet. Even though the hotel is on a busy street, the rooms are set back so absolutely no noise. If I go back to stay in down town KL, will definitely try and book this hotel again.

Not much to be honest. Some reviews complain of mosquitos so I think they could put mosquito screen on the sliding doors. However, the four poster bed had a mosquito nets in good condition so I wasn't bitten in my two night stay

Really lovely place, nice character and perfect location. Very nice staff and comfortable room. My only complaint is the shower / toilet on the balcony giving the impression of being somewhere like Bali with outdoor facilities. It's a cool concept but the only issue is hearing everyone else using the bathroom and shower which takes some getting used to but not a big deal; I would stay again. I can't speak for the cafe as we always ate out as there are so many options within walking distance.
