The location is within walking distance from the Borneo Cultural Museum and Sarawak River. Many eating places are nearby including shopping malls. The place has unique vintage vibes and the counter staff are ever helpful. Overall we had a fun and enjoyable stay.

There are no lifts. There are up to three flights of stairs to climb if you stay at the upper floor. There are no rooms on the ground floor. There's no shampoo or body wash provided, only two pieces of hand soap. There was no drying mat too so the floor would be wet when you come out of the shower. I hope they can provide it in the future. We were given the attic room. There's only one charging point at the attic. I wish they could install one more at the lower level. This is an old hotel so be prepared to expect some things to breakdown. We had a leaking wash basin but they fixed it promptly.

Great location! Water music fountain and Darul Hana bridge right exactly in front of the hostel. Restaurants, convenient shops and souvenirs shop are within walking distance, super convenient! The staffs are friendly and helpful too.

Building is old. Lightning not bright enough! No hair dryer provided!

The location was perfect. It's right smack in the middle of the waterfront, making it so easy to get to all the attractions. There was so much good food nearby and shops that sold a wide range of products including souvenirs, traditional clothing, spices, local food, gorgeous wood carvings. Our room was really clean and the bed was really comfortable. I liked that was could see the waterfront from the window and people watch. I was worried it would be noisy but because Kuching's music scene at the waterfront usually stops by 1030, it was very quiet There is a very clean shared kitchen where you can refill filtered water and make your own coffee and tea. There is also a shared refrigerator.

Frontal counter staff Awang is exceptional friendly and helpful in everything, greeted us on the first day when we checked in, gave us information on where to go What to eat, when we extended our stay, changed us to bigger room because we have young children ...listening to all my adventures in kuching

When we requested new towel on second night and extra pillows on third night, the night duty staff told us only the house keeping lady have the key, we can request the next day. I only get extra pillow when I insisted.

The staff were very kind and have given us numerous tips on which museums to visit, where to eat, and even called an agency to check for us whether Raflesia was blooming. The building is neatly decorated and stylish, right by the riverfront. There is a shared kitchen with a fridge, a water heater, and basic utensils. Reading the comments of other people who stayed here, we requested a quiet room and were very happy to stay in room 213 facing an inner courtyard.

During our stay, there was a group of school children visiting for a few nights, so it did get quite loud at times.

The location is superb as the Kuching Waterfront, iconic landmark and famous spots such as the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly, Darul Hana Bridge, Night Musical Fountain, Tau Pek Kong Temple, Cat Statute etc. just within walking distance. All famous and delicious food like Black Bean Coffee, Lao Ya Keng Kueh Chap, Kolo Mee, Sarawak Laksa etc. also nearby.

The cleanliness in Kuching City street is a little disappointed.

Stayed in a room with attached bathroom. This accommodation also offers a bed in dormitories. I liked the central location of the accommodation; the staff was very helpful and I was lucky that my room was more to the back so I didn't hear the hustle and bustle of the main street. The room's aircon was old, but after a while it did the job. The bathroom was a bit small, but was clean and that's most important!

I was on the first floor (above ground floor, just to clarify), which meant that there was still one floor above me. And well, there was apparently a group staying on that top floor. And no, their bedtime did not match mine :( so ear plugs are a must.

Excellent location-everything maximum 15 minutes hiking distance. Spotlessly clean rooms. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Water station available. Family friendly. Nice authentic atmosphere. Excellent insider tips shared with us.

Would have loved to have a (communal?) space where we could dry our clothes, the room was a bit small too allow for that. No in-house breakfast option-even if the proposed Curry House was an excellent option and just 1 block away from the hotel.

The staff here were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room was spotless. The air conditioner was effective. I had a 3 bed room with a private bathroom at the rear of the property (perfect for me by myself). There is a kitchen with shared facilities: fridges, drinking water, hot water, basic cooking facilities and crockery. Really good value for money.

Other guests were noisy returning at night. Some noisy bars on the street behind the hotel. No breakfast is served

Location was amazing, right in the middle of things. Staff and service were great, very friendly and accommodating. The room was small and basic but clean. A very old building with character.

The bathroom is a wet room, basically just a half wall that divided the bathroom and the bedroom. Only one electrical socket in the room. The windows are glass slats which don't keep the noise out. Not much light blockage.
