Loved this location, the hotel was wonderful! The buffet breakfast was sensational with so much variety and delicious. The staff are so efficient, polite and helpful. This hotel is overlooking the river and in walking distance to just about everything. The room is very comfortable with everything you could think of. It also has the Merdeka Plaza attached too with plenty of shops. Highly recommend this hotel. There is a pool & gym which is very good.

The Waterfront hotel is located on an A location in Kutching, the city is reachable on walk distance, a shoppingmall is reachable from within the Hotel. The waterfront hotel has excelent helpfull staff, from the frontdesk till the people tha clean your room, they will provide all assistance to help you enjoy your stay. I arrived on a midnight flight. and all car rental services provided at kuching airport where closed. The next morning when I asked frontdesk staf on how to get a rental, they provided a car dropped off and picked up from the hotel for very good price. The car rental service from mister Ric Coh also provided a taxi ride back to the airport. so in short words, Whatever you need as a guest, the Waterfront hotel frontdesk staff will do everything in their possibillities to help you on your matters. the best hotel experience in Kuching. My stay was on the 9th floor, Room 917 with a nice view over a nightly waterfountain show held on Kuching river. Thank you so much Waterfront hotel for this marvelous experience!

The hotel staffs are so efficient and their response to problem is absolutely world class. When I realized that my room 621 did not have a wifi and internet connection at 10:15pm on 19Sep2023, I called the hotel operator to raise the issue, and they sent a technician to my room within 5 minutes. The technician was really good at his job, he understood the problem very quickly and able to solve the problem immediately. Thank you so much. Another great thing about this hotel is its amazing location facing directly at the entrance of the Chinatown Kuching. There was a Mooncake Festival Opening Ceremony at Chinatown on 20Sep2023 evening, and it was such a great opportunity to join their festival at night after conference.

Can't think of any issue at the moment. If I really have to stress one point about its limitation, I would say that the hotel room small fridge is not cold at all. But because I didn't use the small fridge during 3-day stay, therefore it's not an issue for me, but it could be a huge problem to the next customer. Hopefully a good fridge would be available next time.

Excellent bedroom and bathroom size, plus facilities and local decor, cleanliness and tidy - inside in the room and throughout the hotel. The breakfast is amazing (and we have travelled to many places to compare) - it has excellent spacious seating, modern and local decor, and the variety and selection of breakfast is top class with local cultural cuisines and international, plus make your own style egg and paratha omelette. Location is superb - immediately overlooking the waterfront corniche, chinatown, museum and all the excellent eateries along waterfront and Kuching area. Hotel is directly linked to a great compact shopping centre (Merdeka Plaza) with many food, drink, clothing etc etc with great prices and variety of local cuisines. Excellent value for money with the offer that the hotel had on booking.com

1.) the frontdesk staff was friendly during our check in ont the 7/5.afterall all the staff was friendly and helping . 2.) Lots of places you can go.

1) we reach hotel at almost 4pm but still cannot check in due to roomservice cleaning.but its already stated check in 3pm 2.) Wat happen to the towels? Room no towel upon check in 3.) The lady at the counter check out on the 8/5 was so not helpful and friendly.counter next to the lift.i dont see any smile from her and the only thing i heard was 'thats all'..

Nice location, great views, the staff were respectful.

Staff were a bit difficult to hear as they were soft-spoken but also wearing masks so had to ask them to repeat several times - great safety consciousness, much appreciated, but would do well to speak louder to accomodate :) Place although newer than the surrounding hotels, was already showing signs of wear and tear with the elevator being the most ridiculous thing to use. We were there during a big event and in a place with many many floors, but only 2 elevators, it was quite tedious with too many people cramming in at once.

Buffet breakfast....keep on repeating the same type of food n a bit tasteless n lack of variety.

The location is extremely strategic as it is in the middle of everything!!! Places that me and my family wanted to visits are very close to the hotel. Everything can be found nearby including places to eat, tourist attractions, mosque, 24hrs laundry, convenience stores, kek lapis shops, souvenir shops and even the Borneo Cultural Museum!!! The breakfast buffet was worth the money! 100% HALAL and the staffs were extremely good and friendly. Variety of foods to choose from (malay, western, salad, cereals, coffee, tea, juices, salads, egg station, laksa sarawak, mee kolo)! I enjoyed every bit of it. Though some foods aren’t to my liking (taste-wise), however I am still 100% satisfied with it!!! Staffs attended me perfectly though there were a mistake whereby when I registered, the staff mistook my stay for 1N instead of 5N and had some mishaps during breakfast whereby they mistook mine for 1-2 pax instead of 4pax. But all was good and they attended everything professionally!!! The room was extremely clean and so does the toilet! The room service (food especially DABAI) were superb! My room were facing the Borneo Cultural Museum! Although the toilet was a little clogged from time to time, it is understandable that it is an old building for over 20+ years I believe but hoping that the hotel would somehow try to fix it considering the stay there per night isn’t cheap and almost the same price (+-) to sheraton and hilton hotel. But overall, it was a perfect family stay and vacation! Would definitely visit this hotel again!!!

Parking Lot 🥺 — It is extremely sad that the hotel customers had to share the parking space with public who went for the mall beside the hotel. Hoping that the hotel would resolve this issue asap. Probably reserve some parking spots for P1 and P2 that is around the hotel lobby lift entrance from each level. It is extremely inconvenient that I had to parked really far from the hotel lobby lift and sometimes had to circling around from level to level for an empty spot. So please please please fix this!!!!

Just suggestions, pls not to switch off the water supply before your customer check out from the room. Even before 12 noon. Customer check in at 3pm but water supply off at 11.40am next morning. Maybe need to consider about this next time. Staying not even 24 hour but payment full right? Hopefully for next visit no more this issue happened. Other then that.. superb✌️
