Great location the beach, close to downtown (easy walk) as well as several very nice restaurants in the area. The beach restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent. We were able to have food delivered to our room balcony one night, which made for a very intimate dinner for the two of us.

Not all rooms have an ocean view. Make sure you check which room you are going to be assigned. We were initially assigned a non-ocean view and were able to change it upon check-in. There are stairs for the property (it is built into the cliffside of the ocean), so not a good property for mobility impaired guests. But we had no problem with it.

I liked the staff (excellent), the location, WIFI, swimming pool, restaurant, access to town and other restaurants.

I did not like the bathroom, the lighting, and we were not provided with a table to eat at (there was a counter, but just not the same), and the biggest problem for us was the absence of a microwave. Most Canadians and Americans use a microwave frequently in their cooking.

FANTASTIC!!! Everything about this property was spectacular. The location, the staff, the accommodations. We stayed on bungalow #2. We had an outside fully stocked kitchen, a dinning area and a huge sun porch . Mind you this is not a all- inclusive 5 start property. This is a more intimate establishment, but with that said, we we were treated like gold. The staff from check in to check out was attentive and friendly, helpful and patient. Ricardo is a fantastic host and the cleaning staff were amazing and made the little towel art on our bed every day. The restaurant stayed open for us because we were late getting in on a very long bus ride and we’re starving. our waiter Armando was great. We swam in the pool a lot and always was clean and refreshing. Again, forget about the views, they are amazing. couldn’t have had a better time!

The funky room safe and the Wi-Fi which only worked intermittently. In full disclosure we are two very fit 75 year olds who could comfortably negotiate the very steep and very long stairways from the entrance at street level to our room, and significant additional steps from our room to the beach. many less fit individuals will have a difficult time with these steps.

This little hotel has a great location on Playa Madera, which is midway between Playa La Ropa and downtown Playa Principal. Easy walk to town, taxis, pharmacies and OXXO. I was a few steps right on to the beach. Also the staff at this hotel is exceptional. They are truly wonderful people who are helpful and kind.

Nothing really, but this hotel is not for handicapped people. A lot of stairs. But all the buildings next to the beaches are like this.

The jacuzzi suite felt super indulgent, the views from the patio are gorgeous. The location was super central on Playa Madera, which was great, and it was also a short walk to some of the fancy restaurants in the hills, and to Playa Ropa. Absolutely loved to outdoor kitchen!

It would be nice if things like water and coffee filters were included, but we were able to purchase a water jug from reception. We also didn’t realize that the jacuzzi did not get hot, which was fine during the daytime, the pool-temp water was super refreshing, but at night the warm would have been nice.

Fantastic view of the beach and bay. Great restaurant and beach directly below. Very comfortable and spacious room with modest but complete kitchen amenities outside on the veranda. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Taxi service requested at the reception desk was quick and dependable. Able to walk into town.

A lot of steps down from the street to the rooms and beach. If you are not prepared to climb a lot of stairs, I would not recommend this for you. Otherwise, it was not strenuous.

Location was great! We loved the view from our junior jacuzzi suite. The rooms were clean and bed comfortable. We love being able to walk into town so easily. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant food delicious.

The jacuzzi only worked two of the days we were there (out of seven) as a motor needed to be replaced. That was disappointing . Also, one night some other guests were very loud until about 12:30 am (family reunion maybe).

I like the closeness to businesses and to the beach.

The place was very clean and service was great the down side is the stairs to get to your room and the beach.

Great location and our room was incredible. The staff was always attentive and friendly. Our bed was a bit hard and we both had sore backs. But, overall, things were wonderful.
