We booked the room called “Ola” which was a double suite. One room had a king bed and the other had a double. There was a suite space with 2 chairs and a simple sofa and a large bathroom. It was absolutely perfect for 2 couples traveling together. The air conditioning in the room was really good and had lots of settings to sleep very comfortably. Another big plus is that the hotel provides filtered water!! It was a nice break to not keep drinking out of plastic bottles. The pool was such a nice oasis after a day at the beach. There were lounges and shade and even yard games and a slack line. There were guitars and ukeleles around for guests to play. It had the fun communal touches of a hostel, but the privacy and luxury feeling of a boutique hotel.

The location was ideal as it was a short walk to the main area of La Punta. It's a peaceful and relaxing hotel with a pool, sun loungers, and a small bar. The room had a large balcony, which was pleasant. The water tank near the bar was useful to refill bottles. Also, there is a laundry service in a farm opposite the hotel.

A small room but it was sufficient for a few days. The water from the shower created a mess on the bathroom floor. Included breakfast was only a bowl of fruit with yoghurt, granola and a coffee. Kitchen staff were uninterested in guest interaction and seemed frustrated at times with our requests. One of the ladies at reception forgot to book our taxi, which caused us problems.

I typically don't stay at boutiquey hotels but oh my this place may have changed my mind. So clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and really took the time out to get to know everyone. We even met the owner and didn't realize who she was until days later, when someone else told us. The rooms are beautiful, we were lucky to get a ground floor. The pool refreshing. The woman at the bar (originally from italy) always made sure we had our drinks with popcorn and they use enviornment friendly straws. And the cook...omg!!!!!!!!! Eggplant parm is out of this world. I wasn't a fan of Puerto Escondido but I would absolutely come and escape the world and stay here for a few days. Oh and they had salsa dancing one of the nights, great way to meet other guests.

Best location in puerto in my opinion! Really close to the beach and the bars & restaurants of La Punta without being disturbed by the noise at night at all. It was so nice to relax by the pool, and be able to order drinks and snacks all day. Really appreciated the help from the front staff as well for booking surf lessons and transportation! The rooms are really comfortable and well-temperatured with both fan and AC if needed, we slept very good :)

The breakfast included is really minimal. I understand the concept of having ”Continental” breakfast included and the possibility of buying extra dishes, but I feel it’a a bit too slim. In other places I have stayed one dish would be included from the menu per day and this would improve the breakfast a lot here. Also, during our stay we tried to join multiple of the advertised fitness classes but they were either cancelled or the schedule had not been updated and it was not scheduled anymore. this was a bit disappointing.

Very friendly and helpful staff including Josmar at reception who was so helpful throughout our trip in everything from helping us hire a scooter, to booking tours, to recommending places to go, organising taxis, etc. Location is a 5 min walk from the beach and we loved staying in the La Punta area. The hotel had everything we needed and having a pool, aircon and a fan were big positives. The breakfast was perfect for our needs and we never needed to order more than what was provided in the price. Would definitely recommend!

The only development point would be the shower pressure which wasn't great.

Excellent location, just a short walk to la punta's main area. The room ('agua') felt new - clean, modern and excellent beds and bathroom. The pool area is lovely with a nice little bar, very reasonable drinks prices and every single staff member that we met was brilliant.

The included breakfast option is extremely basic - if it is included in the price, then see it as a bonus, but i would not recommend anyone to pay extra to add breakfast on; just go to one of the many cafes nearby

Casa de Olas was everything we'd hoped it would be. Beautiful hotel with great facilities, good food, great drinks and super friendly/helpful staff. 2 minute walk from the beach and all the restaurants you could want. Could spend endless days relaxing by the pool drinking frozen mojitos...

Staff were amazing! Very friendly. Place felt super clean and super safe with the night guard. Suitcase storage was helpful. Staff went out of their to way to organise additional transport for us. Special thanks to Josmar, super helpful.

As our bathroom window faced the foyer and appeared to be jammed open, we could see/hear people eating breakfast while we showered as we couldn’t close the window.

The beautiful garden full of trees, the calm pool open late and the very reasonably priced breakfast. Very clean rooms with cozy balconies

There are a lot of exercise classes with loud music on the grounds starting from 9 am or so, so it's not really meant gor people who want to sleep in. The classes might be seen as a positive for those who want to get exercise in during their stay. The rooms are very spartan, not meant to hang out or spend the day.

The location was great, walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The food and drinks were excellent. We loved the staff.

The pool didn’t seem all that clean, but it was still nice to hang out there. we had a family room, which we found quite dark but otherwise the apartment was very nice. I would recommend that they put some luggage holders and some more hooks in the room with two beds(no place to put anything).
