The pool was lovely and quiet when we were there. Breakfast in the morning was lovely with lovely staff. The reception helped us book excursions and taxis when we needed them.

The reception was empty half the time so maybe it needs more staff. We paid for our laundry to be done and they said it would take 24 hours. Come the next evening at 6pm we had to ask for it back; it was clean but was given to us in a wash basket just out of the dryer so be mindful as we had to leave the next morning. This place has no bar but you’re free to bring your own which was nice.

The front desk personnel greeted us and answered our questions about the area. They booked a tour for us that we enjoyed. We were happy with our room and the facilities. The hotel is beautiful and we enjoyed the pool. It was in a convenient location and it was easy to walk to the main square and restaurants. The included breakfast was excellent.

A fan in the breakfast area would have been nice since it is so hot. There was some music noise in the evening from surrounding establishments however this was expected based on previous reviews.

The place has a very positive atmosphere and the rooms, though rather small, feel spacious bright and clean. We loved the shower especially and the balcony was fantastic with the lagoon view! Staff was very kind with everything and we felt comfortable all throughout our stay. Special Kudos to Tommaso, the hotel manager, who was very helpful with a tiny issue we had - he’s a phenomenal host.

Three minor things need be said: - the bed in our double room was not queen size so make yourself comfortable with the idea of cuddling together through the warm Bacalar nights - breakfast could have more than three options although all of them were well prepared and good! - the place is close to the amazing salsa bar la catrina, where I’d just recommend going every night, but be prepared for some spillover music, especially at weekends for those of you seeking a early night sleep

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The hotel is fairly new, so everything is in top shape, the wall paintings are gorgeous. Rooms are cleaned daily. Breakfast is simple but very good and fast service. We did not use the pool. Mr. Taco, a very popular restaurant, is right across the road.

The bed is a little hard. They have about 5 roosters on the farm next to the hotel, take good earplugs.

- the pool area doesn‘t really invite you to spend time there. It‘s ok and clean but small. - it was a little bit expensive for what it was - there is some noise from the salsa bar nearby. But in the off-season (september) they stopped around 11.30pm. With earplugs (new plugs provided every day by the hotel) it‘s no problem. And the salsa band is amazing

the location of this hotel is excellent, it’s a super relaxing space and the staff are amazing. the room was clean and spacious and the balcony with the hammock is a lovely touch. great shower and toiletries and cheap mini bar in the room! they booked us a sailing tour which was amazing and the pool is really cute. special shout out to Gabriel and Andrea!

the only downside is you can hear the bar around the corner if it’s being loud but once you have earplugs in (which they supply in your room)! you can’t hear it

Architecture & overall decor of the place is beautiful. Staff is very helpful, they helped us to book a boat tour & also suggested places to eat. 5-7min walking distance from the centro & some good restaurants.

Nothing in particular. I understand because of tropical weather & location...the place is full of lizards & bugs, but in no way I would rate the place low because of that.

We absolutely loved the room Nr. 12 and its view from the balcony on the lake. The room was sooo big, spacious with great facilities like coffee maker, drinking water etc. The breakfast is exceptional with a lot of choices and friendly service. They helped us organise the tours and kayaks, called taxis for us etc. Don't bother asking around for tour prices or kayak rental - they have the same deals if not even better. Would definitely stay here again.

In the evening it was a little loud from the bar on the main beach road if you want to sit on the balcony.

Breakfast was very nice and Jessica was one of the nicest employees I ever met, very friendly and very funny. The rooms were spacious and the hotel is close to the lagoon. The hotel staff helps for organizing trips (lagoon trip highly recommended).

Nothing, wonderful stay. No direct view on the lagoon from the room although I think it says that in the hotel description.

The hotel has beautiful graphic art on the walls throughout the hotel by a local artist. It's amazing to look at. It gives the hotel a feeling of magic. The hotel staff was very warm and welcoming. Great location and we had a nice room. The only room available was one of the smaller ones in the back but it was still really nice and we enjoyed out stay. You can book rooms with ocean views. The rooftop terrace was cool. I wish we could have stayed a few more days. Breakfast was delicious! The only thing I would ask for is stronger coffee but that just me. I would come back for sure! Front desk staff super helpful with organizing taxi and questions. Thank you!
