This was the first place I stayed upon my arrival in Mérida. The hotel is a beautiful and very interesting property. It is well maintained despite its age, and overall an attractive space. My flight into the city arrived late at night (around midnight) and they went above and beyond to accommodate my late night check in—despite not typically staffing 24 hour front desk service. Sebas, the employee who helped me check in was very kind and helpful. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. I didn’t stay long enough to use the pool, but it looked well maintained. The cafe, Green Bag Coffee, was great and the owners were very kind.

It was a short stay but pleasant stay. No complaints with my stay.

really like the location of the property and the amazing friendly staff. The rooms are also very spacious. and the overall Decour is super cute. You also have a very cute lobby and with a restaurant within premises, although plenty to eat nearby.

The property is definitely a little older, so be prepared for that but if you’re just looking for a good location to sleep, food within walking distance (meaning 1-3 mins), shower and be under AC, it’s a good place.

Beautiful hotel! Great location, just four blocks from the plaza grande. Exceptionally courteous and friendly staff, they will make your stay extra special, they get an A+. The rooms are huge and very clean, more-so than other higher priced hotels. The pool is beautiful and well maintained, perfect water temperature. Well maintained gardens and plants throughout the property. The onsite restaurant is a true gem and very convenient for delicious early morning breakfast serving local specialties and outstanding coffee. I will definitely be staying at this property again when I return and will definitely be recommending this property to everyone for the location, price, hospitality, and overall quality and value.

The air conditioner in the largest suite didn't cool the room properly, most likely because the room was enormous and the a.c. unit was perhaps too small to cool such a large space. One of the rooms toilet wasn't flushing properly and wasn't fixed for 2 days but that was due to maintenance being off on Sunday so it couldn't be fixed until Monday. However, these were just minor inconveniences. The property does need a few minor improvements like changing out shower heads and touch up paint. Shower mats should be placed on the shower floor as the tiles are beautiful, but slippery and hazardous when wet.

the door frame was broken,the curtains were holed and badly hung, the soap they provide leaves hair very rough. the towels very clean but they already looked very old. They are details that will make the stay more pleasant.

Pool is great and big enough, the bedroom was clean and comfortable , the bed was nice and cozy. location is great! just blocks away from the downtown area.

if you have a car you have to walk around 4 blocks to leave your car, that’s fine , the issue is that the parking lot closes around 8pm M - Sat (Sunday is closed) so if you want to arrive later you will need to ask at the time you arrive in the front desk for the key (they only have 1 or 2 so you might have to wait if someone else is using them) and then open by YOURSELF (cause no one from the hotel will help you )the door which is also very heavy and complicated to close for a girl like me.

The rooms are really big, but because of that I had the feeling it was missing furniture. Also in the badroom pe there was no hook to hang on a towel or toilet paper holder. Just small details

The original room had a100+ year old door that my wife didn't approve of so they gave us a different room further back. They brought a refrigerator into our room because the hotel doesn't have ice. Historical hotel worth a fantastic restaurant on site. My wife lived it and I would be happy ty stay there again.

No ice and pool was under renovation

This hotel was great value for money, had a super location and was extremely clean. The air conditioning was super in the hot Merida weather! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable stay.

Unfortunately, the pool was not open while we were here as it was being renovated.

The restaurant in the hotel is excellent. All meals freshly prepared; high quality. My room had ample space and definitely a powerful A/C.

wi-fi on the 2nd floor was a bit spotty. I wound up moving to the first floor and it was perfect. You may want to consider asking for a first floor room if internet is important to you.

Excellent location for all of Merida. Quaint but majestic, must have been an incredible place in its day. Still very good but do not expect modern. It is a good place to stay and have a feel of majesty

Noisy plumbing if you do not turn the hot water fully on. Lots of hot water though! No complaints
