- there was no not or even moderately warm water for shower or bath and we had paid for the gorgeous outdoor tub and shower😘. - there was a fragrance in the reception and all public areas that was kind of sickeningly sweet. I would have ignored that, but it made my asthma kick in! So it was disappointing to pay top dollar due to the above

Beautiful grounds and nice sized room.

1.) bathroom area is very hot as it is exposed to outdoors and if you leave the door between it and the sleeping room it sucks all the air out of the sleeping room making it too warm. needs a ceiling fan in the bathroom. 2.) one day the cleaning staff did not lock our room after they left, so glad we put all our valuables in the safe as we were gone the whole day. management was notified and nothing was taken from the room so everything was good.

Beautiful, new and tastefully decorated boutique property just outside the main area of Merida. We stayed in a balcony room which was huge and very comfortable. The cocktails and dinner menu (in particular the shrimp tostada) were delicious and well worth the cost. Friendly, helpful staff. It was easy to communicate with the concierge using WhatsApp. We also enjoyed cooling off in the pool.

The location was a little away from the main area (10-15 minute walk) but we didn’t mind and would absolutely stay again. Uber was easy and affordable when we didn’t feel like walking.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and accommodating, friendly staff. The team at Cigno went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had what we needed. The environment was beautiful (design, architecture, privacy, roof-top pool and bar) and proved to be a great launching point for my wife and I to enjoy the City. Regarding location, we used their free bikes to get around the city and visit areas of town which had more going on than the area immediately surrounding the hotel. The hotel also appeared to offer a free shuttle to the Central district of town.

Nice interior design! comfortable rooms and beds and very clean. Good HSK and great staff in overall. I really loved the hotel and great location. Loved the avocado with pork belly! delicious. Their home made bread is excellent!

Rooms: - Noisy rooms on 2nd floor, it seems is the pool pump from the roof and it makes the glass doors or windows to shake, the staff turn them off otherwise impossible to sleep. F&B great food taste but small shortcuts that can be easily improve: - breakfast dishes took long time for only 1 table in the restaurant. - Dishes came warm, actually more cold than warm.

Carolina Escalante, the manager of the Cigno Hotel in Merida was amazing! We were greeted late at night by one of the concierges after a long journey by air. The introduction to the property left a lasting impression. The food prepared was not only delicious but the presentation was unique. On a personal level, Carolina arranged our private transportation for outing as well as ensuring that any and every request or need we had as addressed. Our stay was 5 days but if it was possible, I would have liked to extend our time at the Cigno. The design and atmosphere of this property was relaxing and appealing.

Hot Water!

We arrived here after booking 10 minutes previously due to issues with our originally booked hotel. The welcome was great with fresh drinks and cool towel to refresh. Our suite was very comfortable - we have travelled through Mexico and the bed was the best we had slept in. Comfortable sofa bed area to read and good TV. Very quiet and no noise from traffic. Good roof top terrace and swimming pool. Food and drinks were top quality and well priced. Attentive and professional staff who could not do enough for you. Beautiful decor throughout and this is reflected by how new the property is. Would recommend

No AC in bathroom area although this was fine for us. Around 20 minute walk into central Merida - doable for us but maybe not for some.

Beautiful facilities and pools. Good local recommendations from concierge.

A bit far from the central square to conveniently walk back and forth, particularly in the heat. Coming to Mérida again, I would have chosen something in a more developed neighborhood. Also, I noticed that most staff members were being trained - that explained some iffy service concerning the bar and housekeeping.

Location is just a few blocks away from the town center. The next two streets look not so great but are supposedly safe, once you passed them you are in the nice part of the city center

The hotel looks great, the rooms are nice and comfortable, besides the location slightly away from the center there is nothing not to like. At the pace that Merida gentrifies the street around the hotel will look great soon as well

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The service was 5-star as was the property itself. Every design element and amenity was well thoughtfully planned. The restaurant/bar on site offered a full daily menu and the food was some of the best I had my entire stay in Merida. Don’t hesitate to book this property. I can’t wait to return!
