We were doing a charity road trip from the UK to The Gambia and our car was laden with camping equipment, bags and gifts for our final destination with a lot of it being on display in the car. A hotel with a secure private car park was therefore high on our list of priorities and this hotel met that requirement. The hotel and the rooms are a little tired and in need of a refurb but is kept clean with for example housekeeping changing the bed linen every day. We enjoyed our stay - the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a continental self service buffet style that was nice but it felt a little like eating in a school canteen. Rate for the room including breakfast was good.

Great location, clean, big rooms and great environment especially downstairs.

1) No Wi-Fi in the rooms ( should have been mentioned on the website). 2) Being a Muslim country I was expecting a prayer mat in the room or at least available on demand - I asked at the reception but it was not available. I understand that the majority of the customers who stay there are not Muslims but there should be a few prayer mats available for the Muslims customers. A prayer room downstairs would be an ideal.

Good location close to the Medina & Mosque. Good sized room and comfy bed. Daytime reception staff were pleasant and helpful.

The night porter arranged a taxi for us at a cost above what it should normally be. I queried him on this but he denied it. He took the payment for the cab and when the taxi arrived a heated discussion took place between himself and the taxi driver. The driver eventually began the drive to the airport and while arriving at the airport demanded more money from us telling us that the concierge had not paid him sufficiently. This was a very uncomfortable situation and would have been more distressing for the ladies with me in the taxi if they were alone without any male company. This whole drama was caused by the dishonesty of the night concierge and in this instance I would be hesitant to return to the hotel again.

The Location is brilliant 15 minutes to main square. The pool and gardens very quiet and relaxing. The staff are very friendly and helpful . You can book trips in Hotel and there are Beauty Treatments aswell .

Unfortunately no WiFi in rooms . Paying cash for everything is difficult would rather pay on a card . They prefer Euros so if l go again will take instead .

Air conditioning in the rooms was very weak. Had to sleep at the foot of the bed to gain the best position for the cooler air WiFi in the room was intermittent. Sometimes non-existent. Really bad weak wifi. 1 day we had some loud obnoxious men in the pool

I’ve been visiting this hotel for several years now and have found the staff in particular to be very professional, friendly and helpful.

Made good use of the pool. Very friendly staff. Excellent lunch and dinner available and very affordable prices. Fantastic location, not even a 10 minute walk from the main square.
