This riad spreads a very warm and cosy vibe, which makes you feel at home right away. Lots of thoughtful touches and details that will help you unwind after a long day of action in the medina. You could easily spend an entire day without stepping outside. I am also thankful for the owners and staff (particularly Samir) who helped me arrange the transport from the airport/to the station and prepared an early breakfast for me, so I could go on tour well nourished.

No negative things, but some hints that future travelers might find helpful: - I think it is essential to book a transport from the airport or at least arrange a pickup from the last possible road that cars can access. The alley leading to the riad is quite hidden and dark and not very inviting at first. I would have probably hardly found it on my own. - Keep distance between your dark clothes and the white walls! - As in every riad, walls and windows are thin and all rooms are facing the courtyard. It is therefore important to move and talk with more consciousness than back home to respect each others privacy. Some of my fellow guests weren't aware of that.

Our second stay at Riad Dar Kleta was just as wonderful as the first—if not even better. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home, welcomed warmly by Samir, who made sure everything was perfect from the start. The hospitality here is truly special, with Françoise and Julien creating a space that feels both authentic and incredibly relaxing. The highlight of the riad is undoubtedly the inner courtyard, a lush, peaceful oasis filled with life. The presence of the cats, turtles, and birds makes the atmosphere even more charming, offering a serene escape from the bustling streets of Marrakesh. Whether enjoying a quiet breakfast or simply unwinding with a mint tea, the courtyard is the perfect place to soak in the beauty of the riad. Returning to Riad Dar Kleta felt like visiting old friends, and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back again. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic, and welcoming place to stay in Marrakesh, this riad is an absolute gem.

The property was absolutely stunning a little oasis hidden away in the heart of Marrakesh. The absolute beauty and attention to detail that has went in to this riad is impeccable. Aside the beauty of the property the staff and also julien and Francisco literally bent over backwards to make sure we had the most amazing stay you can tell they really are passionate about what they do and that this is their dream . They made sure from start to finish that everything went smoothly for us . Offering advice and help when we needed it and were always available for us , organising transfers , breakfast etc . The food was perfect with everything made fresh in house down to the jams in the morning . You can’t fault anything . The staff that work their the ladies and the gentleman were all so friendly I can’t thank every single one of them enough . Oh and let’s not forget the lovely kind natured cats and tortoises that were the cherry on top of the cupcake for our stay ecspecially our 5 year old son . Thank you so much

Impossible to find a fault

We had a wonderful stay here! The location is great, very quiet and peaceful, a short walk to the main attractions in the Medina. The place is beautifully decorated, very clean, and comfortable. We had a room at the top with various terraces to choose from to sit and relax with the friendly cats. The peaceful courtyard and cozy spots around the property made it a perfect retreat. The staff were amazing—ready to help with anything we needed. The breakfasts were served by two very nice ladies and were delicious, with fresh crepes, omelets and cheese, bread, fruit, yoghurt, coffee and mint tea. Samir, the manager, was exceptional! He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, made us feel truly at home. He was always there to help with everything, for example arranging our pick-up for the trip to the desert and gave us very useful tips (offline map, what to visit, even tactics how to bargain at the souk :-). On the day we were leaving, he even prepared us a special early breakfast before our journey and walked us to the taxi pick-up point.

Everything was perfect, but the riad is very difficult to find. So be careful with local guys eager to show you the way from the taxi and then demand 10 Euros for the short walk!

We have stayed in many places during our travels, but we’ve never encountered anyone like Samiir at Riad Dar Kleta. He truly made our stay unforgettable. Samiir was there for everything we needed, going above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Whether it was verifying our arrival, helping us when we got lost, or offering recommendations on what to do, see, and be cautious of, he was always just a call away. He even braved the rain to help us when we needed something! Having a local like Samiir made us feel incredibly comfortable, knowing we could count on him for anything. The breakfast, prepared by Rabia and Fatima, was lovely. Each morning started with a delicious spread, so much so that we could hardly finish it all. The care they put into the food and the cleanliness of our room was incredible. The riad itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and located in the perfect spot for exploring Marrakech. We can’t recommend Riad Dar Kleta enough. The combination of its beauty, ideal location, and the outstanding service from the staff, especially Samiir, made this a trip we will never forget.

As with most Riads in the Medina, you don't know what to expect from the outside. Dar Kleta will not disappoint. The common area around the pool is relaxing and the chirping birds complete the picture. The breakfast each morning was plentiful. Samir greeted us and gave us excellent rooftop dining options in the Medina. All were a 8 minute walk, if we hadn't stopped to purchase items along the way. Rooms were quiet. We were on the ground floor, but heard nothing all night. The rooftop terraces at Dar Kleta are amazing, spacious and private (which is hard to believe since it's in the middle of the Medina). Samir made sure our stay was enjoyable and stress free from start to finish, which included securing us a taxi at 3:00am for an early morning flight. He was awake to make sure we made it out on time!

I can't think of a thing that I did not like about our stay at Dar Kleta.

The property is straight out of a movie set - every little detail is immaculately curated and everything is spotlessly clean, scented and ordered beautifully. The team is amazing, tea and breakfast are absolutely delicious and all corners to chill and sunbathe benefit with the company of two local resident cats 😍 Samir was the best host ever, organised a whole birthday surprise for my boyfriend, gifted us amazing argan oil, gave us the best tips and recommendations on hammam, eating and shopping spots. Choukran! We will be back to Dar Kleta for sure and will recommend to anyone that plans a visit to Marrakech. This is the place, don’t look any further!

Such a beautiful place to stay with excellent hosts. Samir the Manager made us feel at home and made our arrival to Morocco so easy and pleasant, he ensured we went between the taxi and Riad with no issues both on arrival and departure. He showed me a map app to download which can be used without data which was so useful when exploring the souks. The room was beautiful and the courtyard and rooftop were peaceful and so beautiful too. They made me a delicious vegan breakfast each morning which was much more than I expected. Bread, salad, avocado, nuts, coffee, fresh juice and tea. My vegetarian partner also had eggs, cheese, yogurt and cake! We spent our first two night in Morocco here, where we relaxed and breakfast in the courtyard was a highlight!

Unfortunately there was quite a loud family staying above us with a toddler who was thrashing about on the old floorboards until after 11pm each night. Earplugs helped, and the hosts and location were so wonderful it did not impact our stay. Given it’s an old building it’s to be expected, but maybe pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Dar Kleta is in a beautiful and quite area of the Medina. It is near to the touristic attractions nevertheless enough far away from the crowd. The courtyard is a cosy paradise where the guests are spoiled by the attention of the riad's personnel. Samir, Rabia and Fatima take extremely care of the guests being familiar and extremely professional at the same time. Samir's management of the structure is excellent, Rabia and Fatima's breakfast and dinner are exceptional. It was beautiful to arrive as well as difficult to leave... we would like to be guests again at Dar Kleta in the future.

There are no complaints at all from our side. Nothing could be better. Dar Kleta is perfect as it is.

For context we stayed here for only one night after returning from a 3 day trip to the Sahara Desert. They were very accommodating to us arriving late in the evening and cooked us a LOVELY meal (we ate out for lunch and dinner across Marakech and everywhere in between the Sahara Desert for 7 days and this is arguably the best meal we had, well worth the slightly steep price of €25!) The room was as expected perfect for a couple and plenty of seating and area to relax around the pool and on the roof terrace!

We stayed in a different Riad earlier in the week which had a heated pool in the centre and I wish Dar Kleta was the same, I was ready to relax in it when I got back but unfortunately it was cold water, but this is only a minor thing. Also, this Riad was quite hard to find I wish they did a POV video on how to find it from the main street it would massively help out.
