The hotel is 5 minutes walk as cars cat get through the narrow streets, Mohamed met me by my taxi and carried my luggage to the hotel .Mohammad was very helpful , gave good advice on where to go what restaurants to go to, the culture and food. Although I did not always attend breakfast I see the quality of the food is very good and some guests mentioned it was nice. Room was a good size cleaned daily. Upon checking out I walked 5 minutes to the square with my luggage to get a Taxi, I waited 40 minutes so I messaged Mohamed to help me get a taxi, he came and met me at the square and organised a taxi for which he waited with me until it arrived. Mohamed went beyond expectations, thank you. 6 stars

5 minute walk through the narrow streets to get to the hotel, not easy to get to. maybe highlight it more clear of sodden can come meet the guest like Mohamed did which was really good service

3 key points for me: 1. Extremely friendly and hospitable staff. They made my trip extraordinary. Maroane, Mohamed, and Said made sure I was safe, happy, and comfortable at all times. Available for any question at any time. Better than any five star hotel which can be sterile. Nazar, Oumaima, Khadija, the women who cook and clean - keep the Riad at extreme cleanliness. You can hear them laughing and it really warms the experience. They are so attentive and nurturing. 2. Cleanliness is top priority for me. The place was impeccable. 3. Location and accessibility : Close to everything. Safe (I’m a solo woman traveler) And still local enough to enjoy the natives and the beauty in their culture. Note: I’m a tourist that wants to know heritage of the local culture and respect them. So they have shown me respect wherever I go. I don’t only come and buy things and not care about the locals. So this experience has been rich. And most important, I feel safe. The hosts have made it unforgettable.

Only thing I do not like about this property is that my heart broke when I parted from this beautiful experience. I grew attached to this team.

We will give this riad five stars for the following points: The decor Beautiful furniture and amazing Moroccan kilim rugs. Very nice mattresses which made us sleep very well. Large adorable bathroom, where we could have long hot showers every day. Very nice and tasty breakfast on the fantastic roof terrace in the sunrise. The staff Fantastic helpful, friendly with extensive knowledge of Moroccan culture, history and philosophy. The men: Marouane, Mohamed and Said have great insight in communication and speak English, French, Italien, Spanish and Arabic on a high level, and they organized amazing tours for us, They were always there for us and would always answer all our questions. The women: Nazar, Oumanioria and Khadija cook and clean on a very high level and gave us always a warm smile. Location Close to the suk and all the most interesting museums and parks. Notes We are a couple in our sixties and we appreciate a nice, relaxed atmosphere and to feel safe, which we felt on this riad. This stay has been the best in any way.

very friendly staff, willing to help out with anything you need and more! it was my wife's birthday and they had arranged some decorations and a cake as a surprise, we asked them to join us at the table which they didn't expect, was nice talking with them. breakfast was very good and more than plenty. every day a freshly made omelette and pancakes, bread, fresh juice, tea and coffee and some fruit. location very good, in the medina, around 10min walk through the souks to Djemaa el Fna square they have a rooftop terrace and small pool, however the pool was empty cause it was in March.

We stayed in this lovely Riad for 4 days and it was a beautiful experience! Welcoming since the moment we stepped foot in the Riad itself. Big shotout to Said,whom welcomed us with traditional moroccan tea along with some delicious treats and pastries. He recommended us places we could visit in Marrakech,adventures and much more. We had also the opportunity to have breakfast on the rooftop one of the days we were staying there,and breakfast was indeed amazing,with a bunch of varities! The location of the Riad is very central and super close to the Medina. Definitely would come back :) thank you!

The location where the Riad is at is a bit sketchy at night

We were collected at the airport, very appreciative that the Riad organised this. Saïd greeted us with genuine warmth and put us at ease for the remainder of our stay. He is a true treasure and we can not praise him highly enough for his welcome supper, hospitality, advice and care. We really felt like royalty. Marawan got up early to make us breakfast when we were leaving on an early tour and then personally escorted us to the pick up point - again an unnecessary thing. Both these guys went out of their way to ensure we had the best of times. Mohammed, the manager also gave us tips and advice, genuinely wanting to ake everything perfect. We arrived nervous of getting lost, and uncertain re the medina culture but once we got our bearings it was a casual 10 min dander into the main square and we coped very well. Astra Damus is a fantastic riad. An oasis of luxury and warmth. The people really make it wonderful. We can not fault it.

No complaints at all

The staff were great. In particular Marwuan (just guessing how to spell his name) always had time and a smile for us, and Mahammad gave us more advice than we knew what to do with! The pool is perfect for keeping cool on a hot day or warm evening, and for soaking your souk-weary feet. The whole riad is wonderfully quiet compared to the bustling streets outside which makes for good sleep or afternoon naps.

There was a bit of drain smell in the bathroom, but the housekeeping did us the favour of leaving the extractor fan running when we were out. Other than that, it's hard to fault it. Perhaps the breakfast was _too_ big? We could never finish it all. The pool was a little dusty, but Marrakech is pretty dusty, so cleaning it must be a neverending task!

The Riad is beautiful & traditional and we really loved our stay. Mohamed, Said & Marounae were very kind & helpful and they went out of their way to make our trip special. We loved drinking tea & playing card games with them, learning about the Moroccan cultures & they also made my friends birthday very special. As a travel agent I visit many places around the world and stay in different types of accommodation. Astra Damus is simple but very unique & in the words of Said “welcome home”, that’s exactly how it felt every day when we returned. I can’t recommend this place enough. We loved everything

The riad was very comfortable and clean. The staff was amazing, kind, and courteous! Said stayed up til 2:00ish am to receive us when it took us three hours to clear custom! He even helped to get us the mint tea when we weren't familiar with the directions! Mohammed took care of the ride for us to the airport and printed our boarding passes! He replied to my text messages in a prompt fashion. The riad is conveniently located near the Medina and other attractions! Great value for what we paid. Overall, we felt at ease! We had an unforgettable stay at Astra Damus! The riad is clean, wonderfully cozy, and perfectly captures the charm of Marrakech. Its location is fantastic, with the attractions just a short walk away, and the breakfast was delicious and enough to keep us energized throughout the day. What truly sets Astra Damus apart is its exceptional team. Mohammad, Said, and Marwan went above and beyond to make our stay extraordinary. When my wife fell ill, they immediately stepped in with genuine care and concern, offering tea, freshly squeezed juice, checking which pharmacies were open, etc. They provided incredible support and made us feel like we weren’t just guests but part of the family. Their proactive care and thoughtful gestures turned what could have been a stressful situation into one of comfort and reassurance. The Astra Damus team also gave us many valuable advices proactively, ensuring our trip was seamless and enjoyable. Some of my favorite moments were spent on the riad’s terrace, sipping tea and enjoying delightful conversations with the hosts. Their warmth, and hospitality created an atmosphere that felt welcoming and personal, something you rarely find in other accommodations. While some reviews mention minor issues like lower privacy, occasional smells, or cold terrace, we personally did not experience any of these issues. It's important to remember that staying in a riad comes with its own unique character and quirks, but what truly matters, and what Astra Damus excels at, is how the hosts handle any situation. I am assured they will move heaven and earth to address your concerns and ensure your stay is comfortable, pleasant, and exceptional. They truly excel at ensuring their guests’ comfort and happiness. Astra Damus is not just a place to stay, it’s an experience filled with heart and soul. This was our first visit to Marrakech, but it certainly won’t be our last.
