It is cozy and you feel at home.

The location is a bit hard to find inside the old medina. Although it can be scary specially at night, there are cameras everywhere and one of the Riad’s staff is always watching and making sure the guests face no troubles.

Stylish interior, comfortable beds, good food (breakfast and a main course when we arrived on the first night) and excellent location in the Medina. My wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and the Riad met our expectations and was very hospitable. The staff (Aziz, Ismael and Fatima) helped us with finding our way around, getting airport taxis and even getting a motorbike to the airport to pick up the room keys that I'd forgotten to give back. The service was v humble, thoughtful and hospitable.

The water pressure in the shower on the last morning was low, so the trickle of water was a surprise. Other than that, our stay was a delight.

Our stay at Riad Villa Berna was exceptional, we couldn’t have asked for any better. Our absolute favourite stay in Morocco. We arrived late at night in Marrakech, they organised our airport transfer and as the driver couldn’t drive all the way up to the Villa, Aziz came and met us and escorted us to the Villa. The Riad is simply beautiful, peaceful and the rooms are so comfortable. The staff, especially Aziz, Ismail and Fatima are wonderful, so welcoming and accommodating and are what made the stay so perfect. On our second night, we organised to have dinner at the Riad, we enjoyed a private feast on the terrace with the most amazing traditional Moroccan food, so do yourself a favour and make sure to have at least one dinner at the Riad. Breakfasts are also AMAZING, a gluten free breakfast was also able to be organised for me. Among the chaos of Marrakech the Riad is a little sanctuary, we are so glad we stayed.

Everything, in particular the staff. Very courteous and always willing to help. The Manager Fatima was outstanding. Always very helpful and a very nice person. We had dinner one night at the property and the food was excellent. Breakfast is also very good. The pick up service from the airport worked very well. I advise everyone staying in the hotel to order this service. Cars cannot enter the Medina and the Riad is not easy to find the first time.

The only minor point is that the Riad is not very close to some of the attractions such as the main square and the Baia Palace.

Starting from the shuttle from the airport, everyone was very personable and friendly. Aziz walked us from the dropoff to the riad since the location is a bit tucked away. The information about the city provided by Fatima was invaluable, and Fatima immediately booked us a wonderful hammam. Since we had just arrived, we didn't have cash to pay for the massage, but the riad was so understanding and lent us some cash that we paid back at the end of our stay. The location of this riad is outstanding as well. Dinner on the rooftop was wonderful as well. Breakfast was very impressive with a wide assortment of offerings.

Our stay at the Villa Berna was truly wonderful in every aspect. From the location to the riad itself, we couldn't have asked for more. We would like to highlight the fantastic staff, led by Fatima. Their attention to ensuring our comfort and the best experience was truly extraordinary. Even when we had to leave unexpectedly, Fatima arranged a last-minute transfer to the airport and prepared some delicious biscuits for our journey. The dinner experience provided some of the best traditional Moroccan cuisine we could ask for, and breakfast was also delightful! Every morning we’d look forward to enjoy it on the terrace. There’s also a little pool on the ground floor, that was very welcome in the 39.º heat to refresh my very pregnant self for a few minutes.

There is nothing we did not like.

The location and staff are great. The room is comfortable but small. The decor is beautiful. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and served at a nice terrace.

The room could have more storage space and hangers. There's no place to put your suitcase at. The lights could also be better, and the room had a moldy smell but I think this is the case in many riads cause they were built to be in the shade. Adding a dehumidifier might help. Please add a larger bin in the room. The pre-arranged airport transfer was 1h late. For 70e/night could be improved.

The staff are incredibly helpful, kind and welcoming. We were greeted as were dropped off by the taxi (which is some walk away from the Riad as the roads are very narrow!) and shown to our accommodation. Upon arrival we were treated to traditional Moroccan cakes and tea as the staff provided a map and explained the best spots to visit during our stay and the best ways to get there. The rooms are perfect for a getaway like this, with great facilities inside the rooms and a well maintained en-suite. The pool and sun-terrace are a lovely addition which really help you relax after a day exploring the Souks and City, which are right on the doorstep of this Riad. The food here is incredible, and whilst the cost is slightly higher than you will pay in the heart of the City, it is still a lot less than having a meal in a 'Western' country. We had the Tagine the day we arrived and it was easily the best food we had all trip. The breakfast is made fresh each day and provides a real taste of Moroccan cuisine. We were excited to get up for breakfast every day we spent here as we knew we would be set up nicely for the rest of the day. If we return to Marrakech we will definitely stay here again as the staff were wonderful, the facilities were amazing and the food was exceptional.

Since we were picked up by Ishmael the wonderful experience got started. He gave us tea and goodies before taking the luggage to our beautiful room. The following day we met the manager Fatima which was so nice that surprised my husband with a cake for his 60th birthday with all the personnel. The other young man that works at the Riad (sorry for not remembering his name) was also attentive, professional, helpful, and super polite. Those two young men are incredible workers that do anything to help and make the guest happy. The location is great, very close to the square and waking distance to everything we wanted to do. Fatima and her staff were very welcoming and kind to us during our stay. We felt like we were at home. The room was beautifully decorated and always clean. We had a delicious and rich breakfast at the terrace every morning, which was a very relaxing way to start our day off. The cooking class with Fatima is also a great experience, full of Moroccan tastes and aromas, and for us it ended up by being also the perfect time for a good conversation. Fatima, Aziz and Ismael are a great team that will take care of you with all their hearts. I truly recommend it.
