The room was lovely, with a comfy double bed, a small seating area and a well equipped bathroom with toilet and shower. The riad is well kept and has a nice little plunge pool in the middle of the courtyard. Its set about a 5-10min walk away from the main medinas and is about 10mins from the Bahia Palace - all the main sites can be walked to from the riad. The breakfast is good and a good start to the day.

A little signpost on the first walkway off the medina would be useful as it can be difficult to find on your first visit. Everything else was fine for my visit, I didn't need anything else which wasn't supplied by the riad and its helpful staff.

Loved the Riad , the location was excellent, only a 3 mins walk to the hustle and bustle of Souk Semmarine ( once you get your bearings) . Mohammed is an excellent host , with great communication throughout. He organised a taxi from and to the airport, also organised 2 trips . Ouzoud Waterfalls being 1 , and a sunset Camel trek . The highlight being Ouzoud Waterfalls, a definite must if you spend a few days in Marrakesh, and not expensive at €25 for a full day’s tour . All the staff at the Riad were very welcoming, and friendly, and on the first night Mohammed invited me to dine with him , some staff and his friends on the roof terrace . As it was Ramadan we were eating after sunset , and it was a pleasure to sit with them . Would highly recommend staying at Riad La Calèche , I thoroughly enjoyed my stay .

Great stay, staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had a lovely breakfast on the roof terrace and used the hotels transport to the airport which I’d highly recommend, same price as the local taxis and such a better service. The have a restaurant down the road called Mandela Society which was delicious as well.

It is located at the heart of Marrakech. A bit difficult to find at first, but as soon as you walk through the narrow alleys, you'll remember the way quickly. Just look for the shield in the picture and follow it's path. I liked the breakfast a lot - freshly prepared by the working ladies with traditional tea, different sorts of bread, some kind of morocco's peanut butter, the usual european stuff like jam, honey, boiled eggs and so on.

The "staff" wasn't very helpful. He spoke arabic, but not so much english or french. He was friendly and kind, but we had difficulties understanding each other. The working ladies in cleaning and cooking were more helpful with their know-how and their language skills (english, french, spanish, a bit italian, arabic, ... just mindblowing).

The property was a lovely oasis from the busy streets of Marrakesh, while also being in a great location just moments from the main square. Our room was lovely and there is plenty of space to relax around the property, and we particularly enjoyed the roof terrace. All the staff, especially Abde who was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about available excursions, and we were even prepared a breakfast early one morning when we were leaving for a trip. I would really recommend staying here while in Marrakesh, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would love to come back.

Getting to the Riad first time is tricky as you get used to the streets of Marrakesh, however this is no problem once you remember the route.

La Calèche is centrally situated near to the main square and most of the top attractions The manager and staff are most helpful and accommodating, offering plenty of good advice on what to do and where to go. A wonderful breakfast is provided on the rooftop, though it can be quite cold here on a winter’s morning ! It also has a wonderful hamam where you can have your cares scrubbed away in beautiful private surroundings.

Can be quite chilly in the foyer and the bedroom, though here you can use the A/C or get an extra blanket. Also no bedside lamp in my room.

The staff was amazing! They were so helpful and made our stay incredibly seamless and special. The staff helped us arrange taxis back and forth and helped us navigate the area. The location was perfect, it's only a few minutes walking to the main square, yet very quiet and away from the noise. The riad itself was beautiful. The shower in the room had great pressure which was really nice. We started in mid October and the weather on the rooftop was perfect. We had breakfast up there every morning and took in the beautiful city. The breakfast was one of the best we've had in Morocco! I highly recommend this place. We would definitely return!

Everything was amazing! No complaints

I had a great stay at this hotel! I used the hotel-arranged taxi service for 17 euros, which made the arrival smooth, though you do need to walk a bit to reach the property. I primarily chose this hotel for the spa, breakfast-inclusive option, and the chance to experience an authentic stay without a modern feel—and it delivered perfectly. The rooms were clean, and the hospitality was outstanding. The manager, Abde, was always present and made us feel truly welcome, showcasing Morocco’s 10/10 hospitality. I highly recommend this place for its prime location near the souks, the on-site spa and hammam, and the tasty breakfast included with your stay. You can also pre-order meals if needed, which adds to the convenience. I would gladly stay here again!

During my time in Marrakech I saw some expensive looking hotels further away from the centre, but staying there would not have matched the experience I had at the Riad. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Adbe. He supplied me with information on sightseeing in the local area, and assisted with my dietary needs (vegan) for the breakfast provided, which was very good, and set me up for each day's sightseeing. Given some notice, they can also prepare a dinner for you. In my experience this was about the same price as local restaurants, and also the same quality as the best of them. Breakfast was between 8 and 11am, but there was flexibility to provide earlier when I had to get up early to do daytrips. There is a travel desk in the Riad, through which you can book day trips, which saves the trouble of going out to find a travel agent yourself. The company used for the day trips provided air conditioned coaches and picked you up from the Riad. These made for long days, but it was worth it to see more of the surrounding countryside. There is an option of an airport transfer, which can be booked through the Riad. At the time of writing this was 150 Dirham. It stops at Jemma El Fna, and the Riad is then a 5 minute walk. Watch out for porters at this point, if you do not want your bags carried, as they will charge you an extra 40 Dirham for doing so. The Riad is only a five minute walk from Jemaa El Fna square, but far enough away from it that you do not get noise at night. It is down a twisty side alley, which it is great to escape into after the hustle and bustle of the surrounding streets. There are some good restaurants nearby, within a five minute walk. Within the medina all the sights are very walkable. The new town is a bit further, so you might need to hire a taxi. I am a keen hiker, and I managed to walk across town to Jardin Majorelle in about 45 minutes, but you may not wish to do that. Did not try pool or Hammam, so cannot comment on...

Not really to do with the Riad itself, but the day trips I booked through them had a lot of extras. You thought you had paid for the whole trip, then guides for specific places would not be included, or water bottles to go with dinner would be extra, and people were always asking for money for tips. Again not to do with the Riad, but just a tip for travellers: when you are in the Media, try to use Google for directions, or failing that ask a shopkeeper. Ignore other people who try to get your attention - they want to earn money showing you how to get to places.
