We booked a 'comfort' room, and were allocated room 114 at (online when invited - in Dutch) pre-check-in. On arrival we were given a different room: a peculiar uncomfortable, design and too close to the road, so when the the windows were open the morning traffic was sleep disturbing. We asked to change rooms after the first night, were shown and offered two, and chose 115 (also a 'comfort' room), which was great in every respect. The bar and restaurant facilities, and reception and coffee area were very comfortable and the restaurant food, really excellent (although they ran out of the duck dish i really wanted to order, by the time i did)

The design of the room we were given on check in, and its location. It may have been intended as an upgrade!

I had a great stay at Amrath Berg Hotel. It was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean and very pleasant.

The only thing that was not great for me is that the hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the town centre and the train station. The walks were lovely and easy, but it meant being located a distance from restaurants, cafes etc.

The hotel is comfortable, in a quiet location with forest nearby. Within walking distance of the center. Complimentary tea, coffee and cookies available in the foyer.

The door of the room could not be locked and close properly. Too much noise from other doors. The rooms should be very clean. Housekeeping do not pay too much attention to dust and cleanliness in general.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times so knew what we expected. In general, it lived up to our expectations. The room we had was a good size and the hotel is within walking distance of the city.

Whilst we were told our room was ready when we arrived, the room had not been cleaned so we had to wait while the bedding was changed and the room was cleaned. Not a great issue but did dampen our arrival. No issues afterwards though.

Location is very nice, enough parking too. The hotel inside is also very artfull and nice! Staff at arriving was very nice. Bed was good for us!

The rooms are not te same as on the pictures and info. And we called in because it was not fully clean when we came in our room the first time. They said maids would come and fix it but no one came to fix it.

Extended choices for a breakfast. Quiet area.

Not able to drink a coffee in the morning without paying for breakfast. I was just want a coffee to start my day, you don't have this option. No fridge in the room.

I was born in Amersfoort but have lived in England for over 50 years. I have been coming to the Berghotel for over 70 years. Initially for special occasions such as anniversaries and dinners. However, since my parents died and the family home is gone, I have stayed in the Berghotel every time I have been to Amersfoort at least once or twice a year for the last 20 years. It is home from home to me.

Very cozy hotel in winter, strategic position at 2km from the Hof, very nice personnel and wonderful breakfast.

A bit dusty here and there, but acceptable and overall a perfect stay for 4 nights.

Staff, infrastructure, breakfast options, location

Not satisfied with room cleaning. The kettle in my room had very old water perhaps from previous stays which was not cleaned for my stay.

We would have liked a banana for breakfast but liked the melon. The outside area was lovely to relax in the evening. The free parking made us book the hotel. The location was great, easy to find and only a half an hour walk into town which we enjoyed after a long drive.

The coffee was too strong in the room and at breakfast.
