We loved the room, spacious & clean. Exceeded our expectations & the pictures do not do the place justice. There were a few louder groups that did not adhere to the 10pm sound curfew but the sound was minimal. Reception staff were extremely helpful & when our safe had issues opening a woman came up & sorted it for us. Thanks for having us!

The stairs are as steep as everyone states, this property is not suitable if you can’t climb thin staircases. We didn’t mind this as we are a younger group & knew about the stair situation.

The position close to the museums (Van Gogh...) square and metro/trams; the friendly and caring staff; the super night porter: kind, helpful, always ready to help; the feel of a hostel (common room, facilities to heat food, free coffee/tea...)

The stairs are really steep with no lift: we knew it beforehand, so NO surprises whatsoever, but being on the 4th floor has been challenging on some occasions.

The hotel was very bare bones, more of a hostel than a hotel. As vacationers who emphasize exploration of our destination over luxury of our accommodations, this was the ideal hotel. The price was a bit high for what it was, but I attribute that to the hotel's location, which was excellent: walking distance to all of the museums and attractions in Amsterdam. The hotel is also one block from a metro and light rail station.

1. The shower in our room did not have a door or curtain and so the entire bathroom wound up flooding whenever we took a shower. They really need to fix this. 2. Continental breakfast was not included.

All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room allocation was changed to ensure that there was not too much stair-climbing for our elderly legs. Meals were not part of our price deal, but the immediate neighbourhood has pleasant cafes and restaurants. The 24 tram and Metro give direct access to the city centre, and the hotel is within easy walking distance of the Pijp and Museum districts.

Our room (specially arranged to minimise stair-climbing; see above) was small, but this was perfectly adequate as our plans took us out nearly all the time, and we were prepared to sacrifice space for convenience and location.

very steep stairs to get to the rooms. temperature was too hot and hard to get it decent. the property is overall not well maintained, that’s why it looks dirty, but wasn’t. The guy at the reception on our first evening was rude and listless.

The location is perfect, stuff is friendly and helpful, its very nice they allowed us to use coffee machine several times a day which has perfect coffees.

The rooms are tiny and there is nothing inside. Also the stairs is very tight, you have a risk to fall. Plus, we were in 1st floor so everyone has to pass over us, the crew is so crowded over midnight we might wake up several times.

The kitchen was a bit chaotic but in general all good.

Great place to go with friends. Best value for money. The staff were very nice and even let us leave our luggage at the hotel until our flight. The room was very clean and comfortable. there was coffee in the reception and a nice place to chill. there was even a drinks machine with fair prices.

The location is great, though someone might find the main street noisy, but I did not. Although my single room was tiny, I could use the dining/reception room when I needed some more space. Besides, there was free coffee available there until midnight, which I really appreciated as well as the free wi-fi connection. The staff was nice, helpful and always present. I enjoyed my stay there.

Decent location, about 20 minutes walk from the centre. Staff were friendly and let us use the lobby before our flight. Rooms were basic but good enough with everything you’d really need. Tough to find a major problem with it for the cost as it was exactly what we needed for our stay.

Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room (fourth floor). Stairs are really, really steep and were a struggle after a long night out. Beds were weirdly rigid and if you lay too far on one side or the other you’d start to fall off
