A beautiful quiet location on a quiet street. The hotel is immaculately clean and designed, and the staff are super helpful and accommodating and seemed to speak a variety of languages. There was a possibility to leave our bags for the day after check out and bikes to hire. The room itself was very comfortable and always felt like it was at a perfect temperature. The shower was fantastic (!) and we had a variety of amenities. Could not fault the hotel at all.

The hotel was a little difficult to find initially as it is not on the main street as expected but round the back on a little alley. But once we realised that it was easy to find and well signposted. The room was quite a bit smaller than expected but perfect for our needs.

The location is perfect. The room was beautifully designed, large and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was great and useful. The stuff was friendly and helpful. The coffee machine in the lobby was a great bonus

The only downside was that the windows don't open. It limits the ability to use the kitchen and I like fresh air. Also the room is very expensive.

Really nice hotel with the perfect location. It’s very central, but in a quit and local area. Very easy to check in and out. Very friendly staff at the hotel, everybody is really nice. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to come back.

The room was really small, difficult to store our clothes and stuff in the small closet. No space around the bed. Sad that it is so expensive to rent bikes and parking when you stay at the hotel. It should give an advantage when you already pay a lot to live there, but it was considerably cheaper to rent both parking and bicycles other places in the city.

- Housekeeping: Infrequent cleaning leads to noticeable dirt and dust. Even the full cleaning every 4 days is subpar, leaving garbage, hair, and poorly vacuumed floors. While daily cleaning isn't necessary, thorough cleaning is expected when it does occur. - Maintenance: Slow response to maintenance requests (e.g., noisy fridge took 4-5 days and multiple reminders to fix). - Breakfast: Mediocre quality. - Bike Rental: Charging €22 per bike per day is excessive, especially considering the hotel's above-average price point. Complimentary bikes would be more appropriate. Additionally, the lack of insurance despite initial assurances is concerning. But the bikes are new & in a good conditions.

Quirky interior design and cleanliness of the hotel. Pleasant reception staff and felt very safe during our stay. Location perfect .

Nothing to dislike

I stayed for a week and Citadines was an absolute oasis. The area is super central, but quiet. I had to work a little bit. and did this in my room (garden facing with the sounds from a local primary school in the distance, making me feel right at home) and from a quiet and comfortable common living room in the basement downstairs (which has free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruit).

There was a little bit of confusion about when my room would be cleaned. They don't clean daily (which is fine), but didn't clean on the day I had been told. It was all sorted though! I also really wanted to use the bicycles for an hour each morning to explore the city before it woke up, but bicycle rental is only allowed for a full 24 hours.

We expected a more welcoming staff. Upon check-in, we were given incorrect information regarding the cleaning options. The staff informed us that cleaning was done after 3-4 nights and that we should come to the front desk if we needed fresh towels or toiletries before then (sounds very unusual...never experienced this in a 4-star hotel). After two nights, we asked for new towels, and the staff then told us that we could have requested a light cleaning (only on request...), something we would expect daily from a 4-star hotel.

The hotel is beautiful. We had a studio that was fully stocked for a long-term stay. Everything was in pristine condition and the facilities, including the reception area, gym, restaurant, laundry room, and pantry were outstanding. The hotel is in a great location, close to restaurants, bars, grocery stores, public transportation, and, of course, canals. Additionally, the staff at this hotel is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and we always felt so welcome. If we return to Amsterdam, we will definitely stay here again.

The only thing we did not like is our apartment faced the apartments across the street, so it wasn't very private; however, that is to be expected in a city. :)

I did not get to use the breakfast, since my sleep schedule was messed up, but the breakfast area/lounge was great. The staff was awesome!! I was a few hours early and since the rooms were all full so I waited till the check out time and room getting cleaned. They showed me the breakfast lounge area and offered food and tea/beverage etc. even I hadn't even checked in. Everyone was very helpful and the whole management was highly professional. I will tell all my friends and family and will definitely come and stay with them again.

Everything was great.

This is a brand new modern hotel built in a quaint building surrounded by canals and with excellent connections by metro / tram to central station and town centre. A fifteen minutes brisk walk will also take to you to most attractions. Lovely tastefully furnished room fitted with a modern kitchenette was very convenient. Washroom was compact and comfortable. As one can expect with a newly opened property, there were a few teething issues but Saeed, the head receptionist who’s there from Paris was exceptional in problem solving and that too with a bright smile on his face. Cynthia, the front office manager was very empathetic and heard to our concerns to diligently alleviate our experience. Both these two individuals are an integral asset to the team at Citadines.

Sometimes room was a bit too cold and the lights weren’t responsive.
