Fantastic location - walkable to everything, or a short inexpensive tram ride if you want to walk less. Beautiful view of the trees and canal from the window. Comfortable bed. Plenty of storage space. Very responsive and helpful staff. They also provided some nice surprises like mint infused water, wine, and some snacks.

There was no microwave, so heating up leftovers took a little longer in the oven. But it wasn't a big deal, and we only needed it once during our weeklong stay. It did get a little hot some nights, but with the cross breeze from the windows, and the provided fan, it was very comfortable.

We stayed 4 nights at the blue stairs and absolutely loved it. It felt like we were locals for a few days. It’s such a beautiful place with loads of history located right on the canal and has been lovingly renovated and restored by Marc and Louise. The apartment has everything you need and feels very homely. There is also beautiful, personal touches such as fresh fruit, a wide range of teas, cold minted water, biscuits to have with your morning coffee, and there was also wine and stroopwaffles as a gift. Such a nice touch. The towels and linen were lovely and smelt so fresh. You can walk to anything and everything from the property. There is great food and sights so close by. You are also very close to several tram stops. There is no air conditioning but the hosts have provided fans and the windows open for a cross breeze. The stairs are quite steep but that is the same all across Amsterdam especially on the canal front properties and in local businesses. That is how they are built. The hosts communicate just the right amount to provide you with a friendly welcome and not inundate you with too much information or messaging. Everything you need is in a handbook in the apartment. We would absolutely stay again if we were in Amsterdam.

Our flat absolutely charming facing the canal:) The owner, Marc helped us with our luggages and showed us around the flat. The flat has a nice little kitchenette area with table and chairs to enjoy meals, a miniature safe, a sitting area for relaxation and watching the canal while sipping our wines. Marc and Louise thought of everything with little touches as such: a bottle of wine, fresh fruits, stroopwafel and mint water for our stays. The location was great where you can get to the public transportations, museums, Albert Cuyp Market, and restaurants easily! Thank you so much for the amazing accommodation!

Our flat was located on the third floors therefore there were many narrow spiral stairs to navigate upstairs. Luckily Marc (the home owner) helped us with one of the luggages :)

Our hosts were both very welcoming and super flexible on the check-in time. We particularly appreciated that they held our luggage after checkout too. Facilities (including free toiletries, snacks, tea/coffee etc) are excellent, location is perfect, and the view is absolutely unbelievable.

This isn't a negative, but more a word of caution. This apartment is at the top of very steep stairs and it can be difficult to navigate with large luggage. Steep stairs are characteristic of all canal side buildings in Amsterdam, so if you are planning to stay here perhaps bring smaller bags/expect a workout!

The location of this property was incredible. A very short walk to Rembrandt Square. An easy walk to Binnenstad if you wanted to go to the city center. Yet, the property is located just far enough away to keep heavy tourist foot traffic to a minimum. Very easy to access by tram and car.

The stairs up to the room are small and steep. Taller guests will have some difficulty but not incredibly so. After a few times up and down, you get used to it. Not a problem I would let deter me from staying again.

A gorgeous traditional merchants house on the Keizersgracht - this family home has been sympathetically restored and is a real treat to stay in. Yes, the stairs are steep and narrow - this is a house that dates from the 1600s - but the location is brilliant for a short break. Great local cafes, restaurants and bars - easy to escape the tourist traps - and well placed for getting to the museums and concert halls. Hosts were brilliant, and the apartment immaculately clean.

Only gripe….please, more pillows on the bed!

The hospitality, the location, the coziness of the apartment itself - everything was exceptional! Marc and Louise are the best hosts you could possibly have... Their warmth and genuine willingness to make your stay as comfortable as possible is what made us come back once again... We had stayed here before in 2017 and longed to visit again since then because of how wonderful their apartment is and the location cannot get better! We were so happy to meet them a second time and hope to visit again soon!

There is nothing to dislike! Everything is topnotch and perfect!

Charming efficiency right on the Kiezersgracht canal - amazing location -we walked to all museums, marts and Amsterdam attractions. Marc and Louise were fantastic hosts-very responsive, carried our bags up (and then down) 2 flights of stairs and welcomed us with wine, fruit and Dutch treats! The small apartment was sparkling clean and with a very comfy bed. Would definitely stay here again!

The locations is incredible, really near the main tourist spots in the city. Also the room is very light, cozy and worked perfect for a couple. Just be aware of the stairs, if you have any mobility issues, that is not a place for you. Otherwise, you will love it. Also Marc and Louise were great hosts, they even helped with a last minute request and supported us printing a documents. We would come back there again for sure.

The owners were very friendly and fortunately Marc helped take our luggage to the room otherwise we would have struggled! We enjoyed the location, there were lots of quality buildings and restaurants close by, and as well as being on the canal, it was near the centre of town. We appreciated the half bottle of wine and the quality wine glasses. We were only there for 1 night but the cooking facilities, coffee machine and dining table would be a plus for many staying a bit longer.

I didn't like that space was limited around the bed but the mattress was comfy. The apartment was on the top level and the stairs were extremely narrow.
