It’s an amazing hotel in all the ways. Great restaurants, nice rooms, beautiful location. You literally live in the park. The team is very professional and polite. It was my first visit to Amsterdam, and I heard many complaints about the food in the city. When I arrived I didn’t have any dinner reservation and a manager found me a table at their fine dinning restaurant right away. It was great! If you stay there, don’t miss an opportunity to have dinner on the second floor, the restaurant is definitely gonna get a Michelin star next year. Also the products they have in the mini bar and bathroom are incredible. They say a lot about the quality of the hotel - healthy snacks, non alcoholic cocktails, natural shampoos. I won’t disclose all the beautiful details, so future guests could get a few surprises! Enjoy!

I had a wonderful experience at the Pillows Maurits hotel. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! They were extremely accommodating. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms, and high quality service. Property is clean and has a fantastic old time charm. Definitely coming back <3

I'm actually impressed by the hotel. It seems to be a real five stars hotel, as opposed to other hotels in Amsterdam, that are five stars only in theory. For example, it's the first time I see that, for the (included) breakfast, a waiter asks you what you would like, which is really nice.

Breakfast was very good, it is not buffet style rather you order and they cook it fresh for you. Decent choice and as expected for the setting. Staff were all friendly. Had a nice bathroom with modern walk in shower. Bed was very comfortable.

I had a basement room which was nice, but felt a bit like it was in the basement. Need to close the blinds when in the bath unless you wish to give those on the patio a show (not the right part of Amsterdam for that). The lounge area was ok, but the tables were used by some of the staff, and needed to kick the concierge off from where he was sitting so I could take a call. Much lighter space than doing it in my room. Lastly it was close but still a 30min walk into town and uber taxis could take a while to arrive.

Relaxed check in. Excellent evening meal in Spring. Very helpful concierge team. Manager in Spring who went out of his way to locate a particular drink we wanted. Good location - trams both to Museum Quarter and to Central Station nearby, with the Oost Park immediately behind the hotel. What really makes Pillows is how helpful every member of staff is: without exception they just wanted us to have a comfortable and enjoyable visit .

Slightly dark bar( doubtless meant to be atmospheric but comes over as gloomy). Well intentioned floor level lighting for nighttime loo visits but bulb too bright and so disturbs sleep.

The hotel is beautiful. The gym facilities are very small though as well the spa is very minimal. Not what you expect for a 5-star hotel at that price level. Public spaces are beautiful, staff is super sweet. The brasserie at the park is priceless. Rooms are very small. I had to book a junior sweet to get some space.

Beautiful and stylishly renovated hotel and in a gorgeous setting next to the park. Excellent service from the entire team with a special mention for Joeki, one of the concierges. He took great care of us and provided excellent recommendations tailored to our interests, including securing highly sought after reservations at top restaurants in AMS. We have high expectations when we travel and we were hugely impressed with Pillows!
