Hotels & Airbnbs in Amsterdam are very expensive so I was happy to find decent accommodation at a (somewhat) affordable price. The facilities are basic but clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. I upgraded my room from the basic single to a room with private bathroom and was happy I did so as shared toilet that was all the way down the hall from my first room and shower was downstairs. I’m too old to have to go that far to use the washroom at night ;) Location was great… nice park across the street and easy transit access to city centre or you can walk there in about 40 minutes.

Excellent value for money! I visited Amsterdam with my mom who is nearing 70. We both enjoyed our stay. The staff members we met were helpful and made us feel welcomed. The room was simple but clean. Bedding was comfortable. We were in a room at street level on the side of the building and I thought it would get noisy but it was quiet enough. At night, nothing disturbed us. Oosterpark is right accross the street and it's a lovely park. We found all we need in the area for our meals. We were able to get to the attractions we wanted to visit by foot in about 40 minutes. At the end of our stay, our feet were tired so we took the tram, stops are a minute away from the hotel. I'll go back next time I visit Amsterdam!

The building is a couple of tram stations from the city center. It's well connected but far enough away that it is really quiet at night. I am very glad we got the room on the ground floor because the stairs to the upper floor are no joke. We got the room with the private bathroom. It was somewhat small, and the toilet and the shower share the same space, so your feet get wet occasionally. The water pressure is good, and the drain does work pretty well though. There are no closets, there are several wall hooks and 3 or 4 clothes hangers. The bed is actually two separate beds that kept moving around, and the mattresses were extremely soft. Housekeeping is excellent though.

The mattresses are too soft and there is nothing to keep them in place on the bed so they keep moving around.

The location is absolutely amazing. If you’re searching for a hotel only to sleep and prefer location over quality, definitely book this hotel. Worth every penny! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Finishing touch is not great. Details of furniture and rooms has a lot of improvement for, however, that’s also why the price is so good. No private bathrooms.

The location was perfect, central enough and very close to lots of public transport. Omar at reception is very helpful and accomodating, just a lovely person. He made me a free coffee on arrival :) also my bed was SO comfy and the room was super cosy! Would return

There is only one small shared shower in the hotel, which wasn’t really a problem for me as I never had to wait to use it. But it’s quite cramped inside, and could do with a bench to place clothes and toiletries. Bring shower shoes

My 12th time traveling to Amsterdam, and by far one of the best hotel I've been. Not for everyone, that's true - but a cozy old fashioned and "homie" guest house. The family staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful park just across the street to sit and enjoy Amsterdam megical autumn whether and by tram right outside the hotel you reach de pijp, leidseplein, museumplein or the city centre in no time. Oh! openble window! That was nice as well.

The tv didnt work and breakfast option was missing. Beside that, the place was classy and really enjoyed my stay. Definitely will come back

This is a simple place, but the size of the room, comfortable bed, and location are great. What stands out is the friendly staff. Th guy at reception provided a warm welcome, free coffee and even called me and brought me a personal item I had forgotten upon check out.

Bathroom (shower head not fixed well) and bathroom (toilet overflowed once) could be better, but you get what you pay for.

It was very comfortable and always clean. It's also close to public transport. The Oosterpark park in front of the hotel was very beautiful. We always had hot water in the bathroom, and the room was never cold with the heating off!

If they add a few shelves on the walls to put your stuff, it would be amazing since the rooms are small, but I still recommend it.

Location was perfect, you can get to the city centre in about 20 minutes by tram, or about 35 mins on foot, staff were friendly and helpful. If you’re just looking for somewhere to get your head down and nothing else this place is ideal, great price too,

A shower upstairs would’ve been good but overall nothing to complain about.
