The best thing for us was the location. It is out of the main touristy areas but still very close to all the main attractions and has bars/cafes/shops nearby. It is very near several tram lines which is extremely useful and there is a nice park over the road. We had a deluxe king room - the bed was very comfortable however the chairs were a bit grubby but otherwise the room appeared clean. The shower pressure was not as hard as we would have liked but the overall the bathroom facilities were good. We didn't use any of the hotel's onsite facilities.

Bed pillows were huge! A couple of options would be helpful.

Good place, very close to the train station (5-10 min, and 5 mins by train to the central station) and trams. Very comfortable semi-lux room. Good bed and bathrobes. Fresh juices on the breakfast. All staff were always smiling.

I don't know why but it was a bit dusty around the bed every morning. And the wifi (even "special") was slow, not enough for videochats or to watch movies. In the last day a man on the reception decided to ask to pay for the breakfast that was paid already in advance.

Staff were very polite, especially in the dining area and so helpful at breakfast Rooms were very clean and after returning from a day visiting Amsterdam our room had been cleaned again and was spotless. Lovely park near the hotel as well

Disappointed when we arrived as we had thought we had paid for the room but found that there was a hidden tax "Amsterdam tax" of 29 euro which wasn't welcomed especially when we found out it was for each room. This should have been explained when booking and thus disappointed and would certainly like a reply as to why or if this is correct that a city tax of 29 euros is correct

The hotel was in a great location for my visit next to the Tropenmuseum. It has a direct metro line from the airport and can easily be accessed by various metro lines. Its on the east side of town, so its not close to the center, but with metro it is easily accessible. Metro to the opera, orchestra, and center are available and easy. The area itself is centrally located close to the Tropenmuseum, park, shopping mall, many restaurants and hypermarkets, and a farmers' market. To summarize; I liked Location accessible via metro near shopping mall and restaurants Excellent staff

Breakfast is not very special and I did not find its staff very friendly. The chairs in the lobby, though modern, were not comfortable. The cleaning staff took all day to clean my room and even forgot to do it one day! I informed the management and they were very quick to respond. The staff was excellent; extremely helpful and kind. The location was great. Amsterdam Oost (East) is such a lovely area. It is next to Oosterpark, which offers a wonderful walk. And within walking distance is the Tropenmuseum with interesting exhibitions. For foodies and 'drinkies', there are several bars and restaurants around. The multicultural vibe means it is relaxed and a wonderful market closeby provides another lovely experience. The hotel itself is modern in a building which exudes history. The staff are attentive (esp. Yvonne was very helpful and customer-oriented). The restaurant ("Beautiful Mess") was the perfect venue for our first business dinner. The food was absolutely great. Our waiter for the Saturday night (staff member of the Manor) was charming and very kind. (We forgot to ask your name, but the suggestion of the sharing option which contained flavours from all over the Mediterranean, was wonderful. Thank you.) Overall, the Manor offered us the perfect place to stay to start to plan, dream and plan some more.

Nothing we didn't like, really. I suppose the only thing we were surprised about was the lack of TV channels available and absence of being able to watch/connect to things like Netflix, Prime and Spotify. But the terrestrial channels did result in watching a nature programme in German so that I could brush up on it.

Everything was fine. Our stay was very good. Room was clean with all amenities we would require, even with an espresso machine, staff was friendly and informational. Location wise we had a nice park just across the road. Renting a bicycle from our hotel was rather convenient and a nice add-on. And all bicycles were in a very nice condition.

Location was a little far away from the city center. You definitely need a transportation to move round. Bicycles made our life a lot better and fun, but still, we would rather prefer to keep our breath for the city center and attractions than the way to our hotel. Renting a bicycle was a little expensive as well.

The hotel was beautiful, the room was excellent with a bath and a shower; all very comfortable. There was a nice bar area and the breakfast was excellent. The seating was very comfortable with extra cushions and sheepskin covers on the chairs. The staff were very helpful, we were met on arrival and given advice on how to get around and where to go. All the staff were wonderful, on reception, in the bar and at breakfast. Perfect.

We went to the restaurant for an evening meal and were told that we couldn't have food as we hadn't booked and they only had enough food for the bookings. We did however manage to get bar food in the bar, which was lovely. There were no snacks available (crisps/peanuts) at the bar. We had to go to a small shop in reception to buy nibbles for the bar, a little strange. The hotel was not central, but of course we knew that when we booked. There were buses if necessary and in fact we walked everywhere. It's flat of course!

Excellent location away from the tourist hotspots. Lots of restaurants and cafes around and very near the tranquil Oosterpark. Pleasant garden views from the back of the hotel. Rooms are spacious and well decorated with enormous comfortable beds. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The restaurant attached to the hotel, A Beautiful Mess, was excellent - unusual and tasty small sharing dishes served in a relaxing environment. This was our third stay and we will definitely be back.

Everything was great.

We were very happy with the location of the hotel. A few minutes walk from the train station and the tram into town stopped outside. We were right near the park and several restaurants and bars, we particularly liked the area as it felt very local and not touristy. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and received a room upgrade which was lovely and overlooked the gardens behind the hotel. The breakfast was excellent with a fresh and good quality selection of everything. The staff were very helpful.

Nothing!

Nice hotel - location is good, in a very peaceful area with a lovely burger place around the corner. We couldn't figure out the tram routes and schedules, but slowly got used to it. Very convenient tram stop yards from the hotel. Also lovely English breakfast/brunch place nearly, highly rated.. all in all, we were very happy with the hotel.

Nothing - our rooms were located in a quiet part of the hotel and were close by, so it was convenient to be together.
