A beautiful building in a really great location. Very comfortable large bed in a very clean room.

I wish I had read the reviews about some of the standard rooms being windowless, I probably would've considered staying somewhere else or paying more for a 'superior' room - assuming that those come with the luxury of a window? There was a small skylight window that let natural light into the room but we were unable to see outside so the room did feel a little claustrophobic. Otherwise, a lovely space to stay - I just wish that I knew in advance that 'standard' means no window 😂

A very cozy hotel with small but nice rooms. Located a little outside of busy central area, it still has great transport accessibility and is surrounded by numerous cafes, shops and bars but without tons of tourists. All the processes are made completely online including opening a door into a room - you got to have your phone always charged. The room itself is equipped with all items you may found necessary (including all types of chargers and yoga mats - this is the first time I saw it in a hotel). A big common kitchen lets to store and prepare all your food and eat it then in comfortable conditions.

When multiple sources of water are used at the same time, the water turns too hot.

Fantastic location! Still central with access to tram lines direct into the city, but a nice break from the hustle and bustle of central Amsterdam. The room and its amenities were very thoughtfully considered, with water bottles, enough space to store items and a large bathroom - we were beyond impressed. Nearby restaurants (we recommend Pizza Beppe!), as well as a supermarket and laundromat. The bathroom does not have a fan so it can get a little foggy. Great sized room, super clean, area felt really safe. I’d book back in a heartbeat. Genuinely no complaints.

If you seek a more traditional hotel with a front desk and regular cleaning, seek elsewhere. This is more of an apartment (which suited us just fine!) Cleaning is available for extra €€, towels and extra amenities are available in the “social” area.

Location was great in a residential part of the city. Instructions to find hotel/get in were easy to follow. Room was excellent, nice amount of space. Comfortable bed. It was helpful to have a kitchenette in case I wanted to cook or prepare something. I enjoyed the snacks provided, that was an added surprise. We also took advantage of the complimentary gym nearby and it was great!

We did question the security of the building given that there isn't front desk staff. There are guests coming and going through the front door so you have to trust that they are closing the door securely, especially at night. Sometimes it felt like anyone could potentially get in.

Having control over all aspects of your booking online in their portal is quite handy. The space was clean and the building was easy to locate. Loved the modern setup in the washroom as well. A short walk from the train station (~10 mins) and we also used the bike service right outside the hotel to get to central Amsterdam. The bed was super comfortable! We were also able to stream Netflix from a phone to the TV. Would definitely come back sometime!

Bit of light leaking in from the hallway into the room at night, maybe the lights should be motion activated or the door needs a cover at the bottom.

Renovated building, nice decoration, comfortable mattress, the second room I was given had 2 large windows with a view to the streets and I liked it. Very Quiet although it was ground floor and facing the street. Nice area, close to the centre (3-4km) with regular tram and stops too close to the hotel.

The room I was given the first day was on the second floor (part of the roof or loft) but with no window and just a small skylight window very high. It was absolutely depressing. You can't understand such a detail in the photos. Finally, after complaining, the next day they gave me a very beautiful room on the ground floor. And a minor but important issue: The entrance door were closing extremely loudly and it was really startling to wake up early in the morning or late at night with such a bang. They need to fix it with a door stopper. It is a pity to annoy the tenants with such an easy to correct reason.

Soft and flexible self check in. The hotel is distinctive from the many of this size due to original style and attitude to details. We took a studio. The room was well equipped with all kind of kitchen ware and appliances which made the stay very comfortable. There is also a “social kitchen” downstairs instead of dummy classic hotel lobby. Very good location: there are several resto just at the corner, also a grocery Jumbo is in a few minutes away. The surrounding is quite calm, with the walk path along a canal. And it’s not crowded at all as in the downtown. On the other hand the Amsterdam central train station is just in one stop from the nearest hop-on (Muider poort)

Our suite didn’t have windows, but just a top roof sky view.

What a fantastic stay, they have thought of everything to make your stay the best possible from providing waterbottles and chargers to even a Polaroid camera to create little mementos. Also the guest area app allows super easy access into the apartment aswell as very useful information about extras like the free gym or if you wanted to have a late check out etc.. Also the WhatsApp is always useful if have any questions with very fast and helpful replies , Really a top class service all round. Thank you

It really was all at top standards tbh they have literally thought of everything to make your stay the most enjoyable, if I had to chose something then the shower door could be a little longer to avoid water splashing out but that’s a really minor issue

There was a lot of free stuff awaiting me when I arrived! It was really nice to be welcomed with stroopwafels and a lovely variety of teas. The room itself was very clean and there was a wide variety of amenities at in the kitchen. Furthermore, the support staff were exceptional and always very timely with their responses to my questions.

The bike rentals associated with the hotel were a bit complicated which is a shame because Amsterdam is such a bike centric city. It also would've been nice to have some more physical things considering everything was done via phone.

Bob W is a no-frills place. But it's a very good no-frills place - check-in happens electronically, and you basically manage everything from within their digital environment. The rooms are quite spacious and are located in a beautiful old mansion that used to be a bank back in the days. The building dates back to the 17th century. Currently the rooms are modern, with proper facilities. They offer free gym access to the neighborhood gym, as well as yoga in the adjacent studio.

Perhaps the only thing I would suggest is an option to make up the room. I understand that for a short stay you don't need to clean the room, and I can make my bed myself. However, fresh towels should be an option.
