B&B Landgoed De Grote Beek

The location is perfect, in a quiet green area, just 10 mins away from the center and 15 mins away from the airport. This was mainly why we chose it. The room was clean, really spacious, with a high ceiling and really big curtains on the big windows. The beds were comfortable. The only thing you should have in mind is that most bathrooms and toilets are shared. Anyway, it was not a big problem for a night's stay. You just need to put on a bathrobe, they do provide such, and walk to the bathroom area. Soap is provided, and towels too. Breakfast was quite good too, there's a coffee machine that grinds the coffee first and then you can even make a cappuccino. Freshly baked pastries, and bread, they bake them in an oven there, so you can always get something fresh. Recommended, for spending the night before your flight at a quiet place.

We were just a bit surprised that the bathrooms were shared and a bit far away from our room, we had to walk through reception, as our room was just by the B&B entrance and at the reception hall. But we were provided with bathrobes, so it was not such a problem.

Really nice and cozy, loved the style of the B&B. It was very simple but really nice, everything was clean and tidy and the staff were always happy to help. The single room with shared bathroom was more than enough, the showers and toilets were always clean and fresh. The area that the B&B is in is very pretty and definitely helped relax, it was also very simple to reach the center because there is a bus stop right at the entrance of the property. Overall, really enjoyed my stay and would come back again.

The hotel is located in a beautiful green area where there is even a petting zoo and a coffee shop. There is fresh air and plenty of places to walk around. The staff is attentive, the room was clean, there was a sink for washing, we were given a towel and bathrobe. Breakfast was not bad, delicious pastries and coffee. To the center 5 kilometers, I got there on foot, for me it is not so far, but there is a bus nearby.

One night upstairs someone was loudly dropping furniture and screaming. It was a little scary. Crazy people were walking around the grounds, but they weren't dangerous.

Good number of shared toilets and showers - I never had to wait. I appreciated the robe and toiletries that were provided. The staff were very friendly and I was able to check in a little early, and hire a bike for the day for 5 euros. Breakfast had a good selection and there is free tea/coffee available at any time.

Bring an eye mask - there are sky lights over all the rooms which shine the light from the corridor into your eyes as you try to sleep. The bed was not the most comfortable, but fine for one night.

The B&B has a nice interior and a great, calm, enjoyable atmosphere both in the rooms and the common rooms. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! The shared facilities (toilet and shower) were very clean, not at all comparable with the experience of sharing bathrooms in hostels.

I could hear a lot of what was happening in the hallway at night, the door did not really block the noise so I woke up a few times (but I am also a light sleeper, other guests might find this not to be an issue).

I loved the cosiness, tranquillity and simplicity of the B&B. It was a great place to relax after a long day. There was a coffee machine available at any time and various teas to choose from. I stayed in a single room and I was surprised by its size! It was very spacious, including a big wardrobe and an armchair! The bed was super comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. The staff was super friendly and helpful!

Although I had a great stay, the walls of the room were very thin. I could hear everything going on in the room next door and whatever was happening in the corridor. There was a skylight in my room looking at the corridor. Although it was a great idea to improve the lighting in the room, it didn't help with keeping the noise out. Also, it had some blinds that you could use to cover the said window but they were very thin. The light still popped in at night.

The hotel was modernized and clean, stuff was kind and ready to help. Single room had enough space to feel comfortable. Big plus is for the breakfasts which were incredibly delicious!

The rooms were spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable. There were two bottles of still water in the room with water glasses. The towels and dressing gowns were plentiful (if somewhat snug for us larger folk) and the toiletries were pleasant. WiFi is a good strength and the TV (once you worked out that there are two on buttons on the handset) had a good range of channels. The staff were young and friendly without being overbearing. Breakfast was a continental spread with individually wrapped meats and cheeses in single portion compostable packaging, fresh bread baked on site, custards and yogurts, cereals, jams and spreads, and fruit salad. Coffee, tea, fruit juices and hot chocolate were also on offer (hot drinks available 24/7). The communal areas included a kitchenette for those who chose to self cater. The entry way had magnetic key fob entry for security. There is even the option to purchase your own slippers for the stay. The site is beautifully quiet with only the local ducks to spoil the silence. You are surrounded by woodland, ponds, and art works. There is a restaurant at the entrance to the complex, and you are very close to the city (though you would struggle to realise that due to the blissful silence). Definitely a spot to recharge your batteries. We will definitely return.

Airconditioning units are very loud and required the windows open at all times. The BnB is up a flight of stairs with no apparent lift facility from the ground floor (though there is a lift within the BnB so the potential is there for wheelchair users). No staff on site after 9pm. The site itself was a little disorienting to drive around if you turn left at the junction as the sign suggests. Go right and you'll be there in a jiffy! Vegetarians be warned that there are cow hides on the floor

I was suprised in very positive way how nice, clean and good for a short stay this place was. Great location not far from the city and motorway make it easy to get in and discover around. It has got great breakfast area which at the evening you can use as a relax room. You can use fridge, Cooking machine, microwave, laundry machine for free. Stuff more than great nothing else to say. There is also beautiful park around. I read before that B&B its on the menthal health hospital property but you couldn't spot anything what can disturb your stay.

Next time I would rather stay in a room more far from reception as for not morning person like myself it was bit loud in the morning when other quests was leaving. Overall solid 9.5/10

The bed was very comfortable and the room was well lit from a skylight. The whole establishment is very clean. A friendly young lady on Reception when I checked in - I wish her good luck in her Law studies. Breakfast was highly sufficient for a good appetite. The location is beautiful and quiet and the walk into the city centre is good exercise (I visited in May in beautiful weather). The value for money is exceptional.

Sound travels between rooms - some other guests could be noisy. The TV set volume was very low - maybe because of sound transmission between rooms - but I adjusted to it eventually. Some people might complain about shared WC and shower facilities, but see my comment about value for money - I have no complaint.
