Pros: Good location. Beautiful restoration job. Comfortable bed — but only one small pillow, unless you ask for a second one. Prompt service. Some amazing staff. Nice coffee in the room. Free apples and muffins at the reception — thank you! They were much needed when we arrived.

I am only mentioning those, because the hotel is expensive and such glitches should not be there. There are some peculiar design choices. For example there is nowhere to hang a dress — no space! The height is too low. No mirror in the room — to get dressed, one has to open the door to the bathroom, while the other person is using it. The floor was not very clean — it was probably hoovered but not mopped, therefore spills were left next to the bed.

The location and the whole design was excellent. The tasting menu in the Rita Restaurant was exceptional and very well managed by both chefs and the waiting staff. The room was really well designed and well furnished. Quiet location and central to the town. The grounds and the thought given to the layout has been really carefully considered. Parking was highly reasonable in comparison with other Dutch towns and cities.

Breakfast was slightly underwhelming with the choices. The room would benefit with the hotel information, facilities and communications - it was a bit minimal; not even a phone possible to access the reception to get in touch, should one needed to do so. It would have been nice to be able to access the tour of the building and the monastery as part of the stay to really get the feel for the whole place.

Such an amazing hotel! We were so impressed with the building exterior. Perfect location as well. Just 3 minutes walk to the centrum and there are so many nice places to eat if you want to eat outside of the hotel. During check-in the receptionist informed us about the history of the building and that was very appreciated. The history of the Monastry is quite interesting and it dates back to the eleventh century. (we didn't see any ghosts or hear eerie noises haha.) Staff is very professional and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and we loved the design of our. The room was very quiet as well. The parking was very convenient, we parked at the hotel's private parking lot (an open space). At first we thought we had to pay for the parking but turned out that it was free. That is always a bonus while travelling. During check-put they gifted us with the little gift bags with toiletries. If you are visiting Eindhoven do not even consider staying at another hotel, this place is the coolest.

The pillows could be doubled up or could be more fuller. They were still comfortable, but not the comfiest.

The hotel is beautiful and architecturally interesting as an adaptation of an old cloister; it's also easy to find by car as it stands out from the surrounding buildings. My room was very quiet and comfortable, the bathroom well designed. The breakfast was ample, with a range of choices, and is served in an appealing cafe/bar area. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

The bedside lights were too low to be used for reading and seemingly could not be adjusted. Because the hotel is used as a venue for business meetings, conferences, and weddings, there was a lot of coming and going on the ground floor, making the atmosphere slightly less relaxed. The staff handled this well, following through on a posted promise to limit impact on guests, but it did affect my experience.

This is a hotel in a former convent, located in a very quiet area, not far from the centre of the city. You will find some Bible themes used for the design here and there... My room was also super-calm, very comfortable, with a huge bathroom, a high ceiling (as in a convent..), perfectly clean. A small fridge in the room, helpful staff.

The variety of choice for breakfast is not great, pretty dull. One gets a voucher for each breakfast and I was asked by reception to report the time that I wished to have breakfast for each day, but than it proved not necessary, and in fact one may come down for breakfast at one's convenience. So, why the fuss? A former church belongs to the hotel complex, and when I was there there was a techno party in-there. Occasional noises could be heard until 1 p.m. but the hotel warned and apologised about it, to be fair.

Great location, great hotel, great room, great staff - what a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is located is almost in the city centre, so everything is in the walking distance. Very clean room, impeccable bed sheets and the bathroom is sparkling clean.

In the room we were staying the windows face the internal atrium, so there was no fresh air from the street and we had to rely on the air conditioning system. They have rooms with the windows facing the street, but we wanted to be in this particular room as it was looking so great! Otherwise, it's just an unforgettable place to stay.

I liked the look of the hotel and the location, it was also very clean. I liked that it was in an old church. The tower of the hotel is visible from town so you know which way is "home" during your stay.

The hotel is huge and it takes a while to get to your room walking through the hotel, there are alternative entrances to the hotel that could get you closer to your room, but that wasn't said to us at check in. We didn't mind because at least we could explore the hotel. The hotel was also just really hot inside, but the air-conditioning in the rooms can be set so also not an issue. It's just a hot walk to your room.

I loved everything from the artwork to the simple, but elegant decor. The shower was spacious and the water pressure was perfect. I really enjoyed my view from the bathroom hotel window too. The guest service people were very helpful and polite. Checking in as well as checking out was professional, easy, and quick.

I do wish that there were more options when it came to breakfast hours. Eindhoven is a difficult city to find any breakfast-style meals before 7:30 am. Even a coffee bar with some hot water for tea options would be nice. The coffee appliances in my room were not cleaned well. This is why I did not use them. It would also be nice to have complimentary bottled water in the room for the guest. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay there.

The location is great, within walking distance from the train station and city center. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, and the same for the rooms. There is also a small SPA in the hotel.

It was a bit chilly and it was impossible to adjust the temperature of the room (that function was off). Also, it was a bit of a struggle for the staff to add extra bedding on the sofa that was already in the room. Finally, the restaurant was not accepting any people without reservations even tho it seemed only half full. The manager of the restaurant said that were not part of the hotel so we had to go and find another option in the city even though my mom was sick and I really didn't want us to move in cold weather.

We love the modern feel in such an old.building. with the approximity of a wel secured garage and the perfect location of the city centre, this hotel doesn't feel like an normal hotel, it feels more like an experience. Super compfi beds and clever room lay outs, with a less is more approach.

It's an old building, and although everything is done to keep noise out, you can still here some footsteps in the hall or someone laughing above you....it's old walls and ceilings are high and mighty and tell tales, there is life there.
