Posh, boutique hotel, located within a walking distance from the sea. We got a side sea view room, which was great. Fabulous breakfast.

Our room was very small and so was the bathroom. We could barely walk around our bed. There was some intense, strong perfume in the room that was pleasant for the first thirty minutes, but then it was annoying. We could hear loud street noise through the windows and, despite the fact that the street in front of the hotel underwent reconstruction and a part of it was closed, the traffic - however limited - was still very disturbing. Staff is rather unfriendly and unwelcoming, just strictly professional. I assume they treat celebrities well, but general public is probably ignored. This hotel used to be family-owned and we loved it very much. But this time, we were disappointed.

The room was large, spotlessly clean, looked brand new and fancy. Good wifi. On-site parking (at a charge). The staff was attentive and professional. The breakfast was OK - choice was not too wide, but sufficient. I liked the bar and restaurant in the hotel. Coffee maker in the room

Just one thing: there was no desk in the room - not even a small place where I could put a laptop and do some work. The room was large enough to fit several desks, so I do not quite understand what was the room designer thinking. I did not check it beforehand as it seemed kind of obvious. Other room types seem to have it so check beforehand if you need a desk to do some work.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel for 6 nights. Everything was just great. Super comfy and stylish rooms with so much attention to details, with Nespresso coffee machine that looked like brand new. Big flat TV with Netflix and all kinds of other apps, the Marshall music box is also a very nice feature. Awesome lounge and restaurant area and delicious breakfast. The Belgian waffles are a blast and I also liked the fresh smoothies. I loved the spa and fitness nearby - that was really a big plus. It was never crowded during the day, big lounge area with free drinks, awesome and super big fitness area, pool, jacuzzi and different kinds of saunas and all included in your stay. Also just a 2 minutes walk to the beach. And everyone at the hotel and spa was so super friendly.

I would have preferred to have more vegetarian and vegan options for breakfast. Otherwise, there was really nothing to complain about.

Stayed at Alexander for one night. Great hotel. Very friendly and attentive staff. We arrived a couple hours before check-in time and our room was already prepared. So we got to use Azzurro wellness even on the arrival day. It’s a great place to relax. Hotel was very clean and the design is cozy. Breakfast was very tasty. I also do recommend their restaurant, indeed good value for the price.

Great location by the sea, very nicely decorated, helpful and attentive staff, excellent restaurant downstairs and great sauna/turkish bath setup in the basement.

The roadwork outside was slightly bothersome, in terms of getting to/from the hotel and noise in the morning. The room would benefit from a writing desk, rather than the side table and armchair.

The Staff is super. Always friendly and helpful. Check-in/out was a breeze. Breakfast is quite good, lots of variety so I would say, something for everyone and no one has to leave hungry. Location is central, not far from restaurants and the center of town. Distances to Amsterdam, The Haag is an easy drive and if one wishes bus/train connections are convenient. Plenty of parking spaces. If there is anything worth mentioning it would be that in the suite there should be a separate standing lamp for light because if someone wants to sleep and lights are off the section is dark. Definitely recommend.

Only one small elevator which can lead to wait times during certain times.

Bar and restaurant staff shouting at each other in front of guests, discussing their lunch breaks very loudly while we and a group of German guests were seated at the bar. the lady asked us for our room number across the room and then shouted it back to us to confirm it! everyone could hear our room number so that was very strange. my husband is Dutch and I understand dutch so hearing their conversations was not appropriate.

Modern, stylish room. Very comfortable bed. We even had a huge balcony to watch the Bloemencorso parade from.

The only breakfast option was an expensive buffet.

Excellent place to stay. Lovely hotel, starting from the lobby thru bar and dining room, everything what you see is tasteful design. Love this place. Room is very comfy, perfect large bed, seating area. Loved the breakfasts!

Excellent breakfast, items available changed daily which was lovely.

Not a fan of glass bathroom door. Beautiful swimming pool but it wasn’t on site.
