We really liked the concept of the camping area indoors! The camper vans are for 2 people max and there is no shared sleeping like in a hostel. They are quite small though. The staff was great and welcoming and ready to help anytime. The bathrooms and showers are shared but there are enough that you often don't have to wait for your turn. Also very clean. The Inn also has a lounge area where you can relax and also some fun games you can play with your friends. The metro station to Amsterdam is a 5 minute walk away and takes you to the center in 10-15 minutes. Parking is on the street or at the building next door (ask at the reception) for 15€ per day. I would recommend this for any solo travellers and couples who are looking for a cheaper option outside of Amsterdam center and don't mind having a little less privacy. Overall a great stay!

Everything was 👍

Location was great. 3 minute walk away from the Metro which meant we could stay away from the centre but easily commute each day. The Outside Inn was brilliant. Kids (aged 11 and 14yrs) loved the novelty factor of staying in vintage caravans...INSIDE! The best of camping without being weather dependent! My daughters loved the hammock, giant bean bags, good WIFI! and the swing. We loved the community fridge and the coffee machine which made the best coffees. Loved the honesty box type payment system for extras like snacks and drinks. Everyone was really considerate and quiet when lights went out at 11pm each night so managed to get good sleep! A really novel and fun experience.

Nothing could have been better. We were really impressed with eveything. Staff were really welcoming and even let us check in early as our caravans were ready.

I definitely liked the peculiarity of the place, it is well done. The beds were comfortable, and we slept very well. Other guests definitely followed the rule for quiet time, and we were able to rest without a problem. The showers and toilets were very clean and enough, so we didn't have to wait at any point. The metro station is very close, just a few minutes' walk. We liked it very much 😊

There isn't much around for food or drinks, so you'd better stock up while in the city if you need to. It's not a big deal as long as you prepare. And they have a fridge that guests are welcomed to use and share, which is a big plus. They do have a minibar with snacks and drinks at an extra cost, so you'll find something if needed.

I love the whole concept of having an indoor camping experience with trailers and RVs. Staff was friendly, the hotel was set up really well with shared bathroom, shower facilities downstairs with very clean modern private stalls. They had a quiet room downstairs with people who wanted to be up after 10 so that the rest of us could sleep.very close to the metro to get to places-One Direction to the center of town, the other direction express to the airport. I would stay here again

I don’t have anything negative to say about this property.

A very chill place, with very chill staff and customers. Very hipster, very Dutch! You'd pay twice as much to stay in a tiny room up four flights of very steep stairs. One small step up into the caravan suits me far better! Very comfy bed. My bed was quite short - the listing did say this, so it wasn't a surprise - but so am I (5'7"), so it didn't cramp my style. Bathrooms are downstairs in the foyer, and offer both showers and unisex toilet cubicles, both immaculately clean. Earplugs are provided in case of noise, but they're rather stiff and uncomfortable. I always sleep wearing Honeywell / Howard Leight "Lazer Lites", and wasn't remotely disturbed by noises off. This site is very handy for Amsterdam RAI, just a couple of stops on the Metro, itself a short walk from the entrance.

I do wish the caravans (or at least mine) were plumbed for lavatories and sinks. If you need the loo in the middle of the night, you've a trudge across the "campsite" and down some steep stairs.

I loved the uniqueness of the accomodation. It was very appealing to the eye and something you wouldn't normally have the option of. However, I wouldn't recommend for couples or for long term stays as the rooms are small / oddly shaped to store your luggage.

It would have been great to have a little more engagement from staff in terms of recommendations for transport and things to do / places to go. Also, post check in - you don't really see the staff if you have questions.

The place has a very cool concept and the two areas really give you the vibe of being in a camping site or in the beach. The personnel is very kind and showed us first the areas so we could choose. The showers and toilets were clean and accesible. The breakfast they offer may look simple but it was very good, croissants were fresh, juice was natural, boiled eggs were just on point.

There was a construction going on next to it, but we left on time to be bothered by it.

Absolutely everything! The staff went out of their way to assist with absolutely every hurdle I stumbled across. All of the staff did their best to speak English which I appreciated so much. The location was fantastic. Just 2 blocks from the metro and 2 blocks from the train station also. 12 euros in a taxi to get into the city. From the metro you can get to centraal station and hop on a ferry or canal boat, hop on hop off bus, train, tram etc. I flew to Ibiza after Amsterdam with no checked luggage allowance. It was no problem to leave my cases with them until I return. I took the breakfast option and so glad I did. Each morning I had a fresh roll with egg and Brie and a fresh juice. I’m not a granola person but I gave it a go anyway. They have an honesty system for snacks, drinks and hot beverages which was great. I made use of the VIP lounge downstairs for an hour, it was great to freely socialise late without annoying anyone in the camp. The staff even did my washing for a small fee and lent me their own personal phone charger! It rained quite a few times over the couple of days I was there, having previously traditionally camped before my arrival at the outside inn, it was so great to be able to shower and use the bathroom and hang things out to dry without having to worry about the weather! I had the absolute cutest caravan. I was the envy of a few other campers. When I arrived I said the only thing missing is a flamingo! Next minute off she runs and comes back with one.. seriously lol. The bed was a little hard for me but the pillows were fantastic! I wanted to take one with me! I’m not sure I will be back to Europe but if I am this is where I will stay. I hope I didn’t leave anything out. I HIGHLY recommend for singles, couples, families, anyone wanting a friendly quiet place with everything you need! Thanks to all of the beautiful staff!

Honestly the only thing I would change would be the mattress but that’s a matter of personal preference.

This hotel was so fun. The campervan we slept in was tiny, just a bed an a tine table and chair but we could use the space outside of the campervan which was really nice. The toilets and showers were super clean and roomy.

Personally I didn't love the music they were playing in the space where you would sit outside of your sleeping space (campervan). Also because you could still hear the music inside the campervan. They turn off the music at a good time in the evening so it was fine and not huge bother or nuisance. I'd just rather have no music 🙂

Completely different concept to a normal hotel however it works so well! Place is well kept and facilities are clean! Everyone is respectful of the rules and the place has a great Vibe to it, very close to the train station which then takes a 15-20min train straight into central! The staff were great, really helpful and great to talk too and to top it off supported Liverpool haha Thank you!

Toilets were downstairs however not a massive problem!
