Fantastic stay and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Very clean and neat and the hotel far went beyond our expectations. We were staying here as my daughter was doing a pre medical degree training at the Erasmus and we were also pleasantly surprised that we only had to walk to the end of the street, more-or-less to get there. Shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants in the area as well as good public transport. Quiet but in the heart of the city. If we were to come to Rotterdam again we would stay here again and will certainly recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for a great stay!

Nothing really!

I liked that the room was spacious and comfortable, it was quiet and it had a ceiling fan. The room was very bright and had very good light-blocking curtains. The internet was fine, but I didn't use it much. The bed was very comfy :) The reception were very friendly and they are there all the time.

I didn't like the storage solution - the closet had almost no shelves, there were open shelves by the bed (end table), but no drawers. It was a minor issue though. I would have also preferred to have a kettle inside the room and not have to ask the reception to boil water for me.

The location is great. Right in the centre of Rotterdam (yet the room was very quiet) and close to tram and metro station. The room was spacious (bigger than expected) and on the top floor. It also had a small balcony. There was a small fridge in the room (although it wasn't mentioned in the website) so we could store a small bottle of water and some fruits we had with us. The bathroom was nice with a bathtub and super clean. The staff was very helpful and the reception was 24/7. I would definitely choose Breitner Hotel next time I visit Rotterdam.

Nothing.

The location and price were great, but what really made the stay was the staff. They were always available, very friendly and helpful. That makes such a difference. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, and the hotel has a lift.

The room had a strong atmosphere of a youth hostel, with two bunk beds and limited options for sitting down. The bathroom was tiny but clean and modern. Our main challenge was the lack of air conditioning. Even though it was only about 70°F outside, the room was hot and stuffy, and an open window and fan weren't enough to make the room comfortable. There was no kettle in the room, but guests can get flasks of hot water from reception, which worked well enough.

Hotel staff were simply exceptional - they really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, they were very knowledgeable of the area and city and provided superb, friendly and impartial advice. Hotel provides own secure car park in a gated courtyard just a few steps away from main reception. This is CCTV monitored from reception, and looked very safe. Parking can be paid with a fixed daily fee until midday after checkout, but can also be extended with an hourly rate, convenient to explore the city a little more after check out. Breakfast was very good and abundant. Overall the hotel looked clean. We had a balcony, with an excellent view over the area and some of the most distinctive city landmarks. City centre is 15min walking distance, with lots of local attractions (museums, restaurants etc.) less than 5min walk.

This is an old property and rooms, corridors and stairs are all very small, narrow or steep. Our room slept four, and felt a big cramped, even through space was optimised to the maximum. Sofa bed was heavy and on first use it nearly crushed down as the mechanism wasn't spring-loaded for a soft release. Learnt quickly to pay attention! Decor is quite dated and old-school, and there is no provision for USB charging (but plenty of sockets for own chargers). Bathroom was very small but very clean. Being on the top floor the room was a bit warm, a ceiling fan and a second floor-stand fan helped a little, but on a sunny day (which we didn't have the good fortune to get) one can imagine the room getting quite hot. Balcony door can however be left open for extra air.

I was greeted by Annette, one of the founders, although I didn't know at the time. She was kind and friendly and intuitively tuned into a solo female traveller, making me feel very welcome which was massively appreciated. My single room was just that, small, compact and absolutely perfect and more importantly, immaculately clean. Credit please to those members of the team who keep it this way, well done you fine people.

This isn't a dislike, more of an observation. A sign at breakfast for guests not to remove food from the dining room. I understand why this may be necessary (and the reason is obvious) but, for someone whose breakfast is inclusive in the price, but actually doesn't have an appetite to eat first thing in the morning (me), then it is my practice at breakfast to just have a drink and then make myself a sandwich to eat when I feel hungry, which is usually after the end of breakfast time and checkout and this of course, is out of my control. Perhaps those guests fulfilling the above criteria could be given, in what we in England would refer to, as a 'Doggy Bag' option?

The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful, with good english. The room was cleaned and a little small. The bed was comfortable we would have preferred a slightly harder mattress. There is a lift thankfully as we are older and we’re on the third floor. Breakfast for being included was amazing had hot items you could order along with cold items. I would say for the price this is a great deal for money. There is a little pub right in the hotel so if you wanted an evening drink and not go out.

The hotel is a little hard to find we attempted to get there by the Metro. But once off the metro ensure you know where you are going. We asked a coupler of people who all sent us in the wrong direction what should have been a 5 minute walk took over an hour. If you know your direction walk to hotel if not take a cab. None of this was the hotel’s fault

I really like the hotel. It doesn't look much from the outside, but inside it has a retro look (which often isn't a good thing, but this place is maintained well) and feel that makes you feel comfy and at ease. The room was spacy and clean. The beds were soft, and linen were clean. We got extra pillows and towels which was cool. The hotel is placed on a quiet side street, which is perfect for a quiet night sleep without the ruckus of night city life interfering with it. The metro and bus stations within walking distance. There're 2 big department stores nearby. City center is just 10 minutes walk distance. There're pubs and other entertainment on the main street not too far from the hotel.

The fridge in the room was a bit noisy, so we resolved to unplug it during nigh time. I upgraded the regular double room to "deluxe" double room and I was lucky to do so. I've cacth a glimpse of the "regular" double room while the cleaning lady was making her rounds and it was small, like merchant fleet sailor quarters small. So, if you can - upgrade, upgarde, upgrade.

The hotel is not located along main street, but at the back street, but easily to find. Therefore, it is very quiet. The room is huge and has a balcony. Staff is very friendly and provide me a lot of information about neighbor cities. This is very helpful if you have no idea where to go. The hotel is very close to Eendrachtsplein Metro station, and there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The breakfast is plenty and has a lot of varieties, I love the fruits they provided. Everything is good. Highly recommended to stay there.

I loved how warm was the hospitality. Every member of the staff was nice and it was a pleasure to speak with them. The room is cozy and I fell in love with it. Even if it not that big, the bathroom was bigger than many other I saw in even better valuated structures. The shower was big. There were many towels and every space was really clean! Even the moquette! Simply perfect. I also appreciated the small bar service the have in the reception room.

Just one thing: during the night the heating sistem was turned off and I woke up because it was freezing! But inside the wardrobe I found an extra cover, so I solved the problem.
