I really enjoyed the comfort of the rooms; they accommodated all our travel gear while still feeling cozy and inviting. The location was ideal, making it easy for us to reach the taxi boats, one of the main activities we had planned in Rotterdam. Additionally, one evening while working on some school assignments in the lobby, we were pleasantly surprised with a glass full of nuts, which was a very nice touch.

To be honest, there wasn't much we didn't like. One area that could have been improved was the cleanliness of the bathrooms on the Saturday night of our stay. The nearest bathroom next to the sink was quite dirty, but since it was late, we didn't let it bother us too much and just used the other bathroom. These things can happen. I requested for it to be cleaned that same night by pressing the button. On Sunday morning, by the time we were getting ready in the bathroom again, it was being taken care of.

The pods are amazing! Super comfortable, sound proof. Perfect layout. Enough showers and toilets and always clean. It's the perfect solution for the need of privacy in a hostel budget. The location is perfect! You have a big variety of bars and restaurants and supermarkets as soon as you walk out the door. Very cool area to stay in. I wish every city and every country would have this kind of hub!!!!

The only downside for me was the lack of a real full functioning kitchen. When you stay longer it's really expensive to eat every day outside, and microwave food everyday is not good or healthy. If there was a kitchen it would have made it so much more than it already is.

The hotel is kept well. The bathrooms and showers are kept clean, and is pleasant to use. The staff and people staying there are all nice and polite, which is important for a hotel will shared facilities. The pods are comfortable and larger than other capsule hotels I have stayed in.

(Updated) After leaving the review below, the hotel gave a kind response about the noise. Apparently the noise is not regular and something can be done about it, if you complain. ------------- The pub under the hotel had very loud music one of the two nights I stayed there. It continued until after 2 am. If the noise is a regular occurance it would prevent me from staying here again despite everything else about the hotel being very positive. The first night, there was no such noise, but the next was unbearably loud.

I stayed at this capsule hotel for one night, and it was exactly what I needed—a clean, comfortable place to rest after a packed weekend. The capsules were neat and cozy, with adjustable lighting and Bluetooth speakers that made the space feel even more relaxing. The shared facilities, including the showers and toilets, were spotless. The location was fantastic—within walking distance of Rotterdam’s must-see spots and well-connected to public transport. There were plenty of food options nearby, and I loved that the hotel allowed takeout in their cafeteria. Overall, a great stay for anyone looking for a convenient and unique accommodation experience!

Stayed here three times already and it's perfect for a solo traveller. Personnel is nice. Bathrooms are satisfactory. The pod is comfortable with a nice roomy bed, fun lights, and a bathrobe. Best thing is that you can close off the pod, unlike other hostels.

The circulation can be a bit of a downside, it can feel a bit stuffy and the food smell of the person that stayed in there before me still lingered. I do like that there's blinds, but they do not close entirely so at night there is always a bit of light coming in still, so bring a sleeping mask if you're sensitive to that like I am. Ear plugs are also a good idea.

The location is really exceptional, everything is within 15min reach by foot (or if you go to Ahoy, it's very convenient, just 4 stops by metro), yet the hotel is soundproof so you don't hear anything from the nearby bars. Loved the cabin-style rooms - you can choose top/bottom bunk when checking in - and they have super comfy beds. They offer free late checkout (1pm) and free lockers to use before check-in and after check-out. You just get a wristband that's your key to the hotel and locker, and you are set to go explore. Staff is helpful, they also have a hangout area with a bar & you can buy some essentials from a vending machine if you left anything at home - convenient and fun!

I did love it as for me it has a fun college-vibe, but something to just bear in mind: the bathrooms and showers are shared - but they provide bathrobes in your room, and the amenities are clean with soap & stuff from Rituals, so really nothing to complain about:)

Module style rooms, with large, fresh, clean, comfortable double bed with ceiling at half room height over bed area, bluetooth speakers and sockets either side of pillows, atmospheric lighting, efficient use of space, private, secure, individual entrance. Modern, clean common bathroom area. Pleasant coffee area at downstairs entrance, spacious lockers available after check out. Thoughtfully designed and professionally managed, friendly helpful staff.

This is only the 2nd “capsule hotel” I’ve stayed in and I believe this one is the best design and I wish CityHubs existed in many other cities. It’s a perfect option for budget travelers who are over the hostel experience, but don’t necessarily need a regular hotel with private bathroom if they are just staying in Rotterdam for a few days or less. The sound proofing of the units is very well done because I barely heard anyone else was staying next to me. You are literally sleeping above / under another unit and I couldn’t hear anything outside of my Hub. The wrist band / electronic fob system worked well and though the only “extra” thing I used it for was ordering espresso in the common area, I loved that the other self-serve bar / snack / vending machine options were available if needed.

I don’t have any complaints, except I believe that the HVAC system may need to be cleaned (from dust and / or mold) because I developed a cough while staying and had a headache on my last night, which I believe was triggered by the air circulation in my unit. My headache was apparently relieved by taking a shower and after I checked out / left the hotel, my cough gradually subsided after a couple hours of fresh air.

The hotel was conveniently located about 15min walk from the train station and in a central area reachable everywhere by foot. The hubs are clean and comfortable for one person, for two might be too small I think. Each floor has shared bathroom area so I personally never had to queue to use it. Big plus for shampoo / gel provided. The bracelet system for check-in/out, serving as key and to purchase items from vending machines / bar was very handy! Very nice staff

While the hotel is clean some equipement could use a replacement or refreshment - worn off shelves in the hubs, stains on the carpet or on the sofas in the hang out area.

It was great as always. It's nice when the city host recognizes you. With this in mind, many thanks to Sanne and Annebel, who patiently helped us with all our questions and always had a smile on their faces, greeting us and saying goodbye, no matter when and how often we came or went. Also the possibility to store our luggage in the CityHub on the day of departure, after check-out, because we still wanted to relax and shop...that's just really great. I think the manager of the hostel, Tom, should also be mentioned here, who contacted me personally after my little criticism in October last year and resolved any differences. We love Rotterdam and come here several times a year. The City Hub certainly plays a big part in this.

It's difficult to say what you didn't like when you say beforehand: "It was great as always...." .... I'll try anyway. It was certainly just a stupid coincidence that the bathroom and toilet on our floor were "out of order" during our stay. We understand that you also have to renovate from time to time, but it is of course not so nice when you as a guest are personally affected by this and have to go up and down the narrow stairs of the emergency staircase, which also somehow didn't smell pleasant and was only very poorly lit, every time you visit the shower rooms. Perhaps a little more light in the narrow corridor would have been good.
