This was our first trip to Utrecht and we had the pleasure of staying at the EYE Hotel. The staff was exceptional! The room was larger than we expected and had everything we needed including a lovely walk-in shower and a very comfy bed. Breakfast was meat, cheese, eggs, bacon, yogurt, etc., very European and delicious. We could not have asked for a better location...shops, restaurants, the canals were all just a very short walk away on lovely streets. When we go back to Utrecht again, we won't have to search for a hotel...we've found the one we'll always go back to.

A very warm welcome from reception staff put us in a good mood to enjoy our stay and the welcome card we found in our room was a nice touch. The room was spacious, quiet and bright with a very comfy bed with interesting/fun/quirky decor. The location was very convenient for the centre of Utrecht. Breakfast was very good, and there are a number of cafes nearby if you want to explore alternatives.

We loved everything in this place, and a comfy chair in the room would have been the 'icing on the cake' that would have made it a '10' rating.

It was in a fantastic location, decorated very nicely. One of the staff was incredibly helpful going out of his way to help me.

The duvet was heavy and huge and I felt suffocated by it. So I removed it and used only the cover. It would have been nice to be given a choice of what kind of duvet and pillows I want. The pillows were also bulky and for me too thick. Your lovely colleague found me something smaller to use.

I loved the hospitality of the staff, I had requested for a hair dryer and they had a slight delay in providing me with the same (which was perfectly fine by me) and to make up for it, they wrote a VERY cute note for me and gave me a chocolate. The little things count. I felt safe and taken care of while living at the Eye hotel and would recommend it to all female solo travellers.

The hotel is great, much better than I had expected. The room was fully equiped, we even had a little terrace with two chairs going to the patio. Modern bathroom, extra comfy beds, great ventillation system. Good design. Extremely central location. Receptionist girl at time of check-in was very helpful, really kind.

Unfortunately we were woken up at 8am by a construction site work. We hadn't had prior notice so it was quite an inconvenience, re the reception they had not known of it either. Patio could have done with a cleaning (we unfortunately unintentionally brought the dirt and leaves inside) and the ashtray was full.

Amazing amazing amazing. This hotel was just amazing, we had a great time there. The design is special and cute, the place is beautiful and super clean. we got a big room and it was so comfortable, so pretty and clean. really, we didn't want to leave. we will definitely be back!

The only downside is parking - the only parking space is pretty far away from the hotel itself. It's not that bad, just leave your luggage and bring the car.

Spacious and comfortable family room in a lovely old building. The separate bunk area for the kids was great. Centrally located, for easy foot access around Utrecht. Helpful and friendly staff. Tasty breakfast (though not buffet).

The carpark is off site and not so easy to find. There was also some mix up with us being double charged for breakfasts and carparking - staff were very helpful to sort it out once identified, but I do recommend checking carefully before you pay.

Great breakfast, big rooms, comfy beds, charming original building, modern interior.

Because the building is original the temperature balance in the room was 18 degrees by the facade near our bed and 23 degrees where the kids were sleeping. This resulted in the kids waking us up at night because they were too warm.

Spacious, light, very comfortable room and facilities. The breakfasts were fresh, high-quality, and filling. My wife was unfortunately unwell during our stay and the staff were extremely sympathetic and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location, close to town centre, main train station, canals and restaurants and bars, big shopping centre and shopping area. The room was large, nicely decorated and clean. And breakfast was very good. And we were able to hire electric bikes from the hotel.

Bit like Goldilocks and the 3 bears. Bed mattress was too soft for my husband’s liking 😁
