We stayed in a 4-bed mixed dorm and the facilities were nice! clean for a hostel and the beds were comfy. The bed’s don’t have any curtains and the privacy board has holes in them as decoration which was an odd concept but it’s a hostel! so get comfy!

The breakfast is large but somehow feels like it doesn’t have options, but it is cheaper than going to a breakfast place. most staff were nice but some could really fix their attitude.

The location is amazing, really in the center and walking distance to basically everything you might need. The staff was very nice and quick to fulfill any requests or questions that we had. There is also an elevator which was great.

It could probably be expected from the location and it being a hostel, but it was not very quiet, especially during the weekend. Our room was on the second floor and we could hear some noise from outside which was totally bearable, but it was actually noisier from people on the hallways coming back drunk and slamming their doors. Even though we booked a double room (so not the hostel dorm), the bathroom still had the typical hostel bathroom smell.

The extras such as being able to buy postage stamps, free wi-fi helped me to stay in touch with friends and family. The little meal I ate and the Dutch beer all went down very well. Charming ladies at Customer Service. The efficient lift saved slogging up four floors!

Well, for two successive nights, quite late, it sounded like a herd of elephants rushing round and round the floor above or maybe two floors above. I was not sure who was doing it or why but I just ignored them in the end. They might have been a French party, I can’t be certain.

I stayed in a 4-person mixed dormitory. The room is large enough. The shower and toilet are good. The staff is helpful and positive.

the space for storage could be better arranged. There is a storage cupboard underneath the beds that you need to pull out to be able to open its door. It is not very practical to take it out every time you need it, and it also blocks the other persons (to go to the upper bed, for example). You need to bring a lock yourself (which is also not so practical to use on this thing). The sink is in the open area, so you make a noise when you use the toilet at night and want to wash your hands later on.

Amazing location, could not get more central (10 mins to the station, 10 mins to Dom Tower). Under bed lockers. Shelf/charging point and light for each bed. Linen provided. Friendly staff. Toilet and 2 showers inside 8 bed dorm.

Stayokay keeps having problems with my bookings that I’ve made through Booking.com. This is the second property that I’ve stayed at where the booking did not appear on their internal booking system. Luckily worked out okay but would be annoying if they were booked out. The WiFi in our room was patchy. There’s a desk area in the restaurant and some tables and chairs on the first floor but not really any couches or lounging spaces to socialise.

The staff was nice and ready to help, we appreciated the possibility to use lockers after checkout (it's 2€ per locker). We didn't have a hair dryer in the room but we were happy to find out that you can ask for it and get your money back as soon as you return it. The positioning in the centre of Utrecht was great and the view was really nice because of the colorful and bright square with a stunning library and a lot of other places to see and hang out to.

Not so big of an issue but there's no door in the shower and water kind of poured out next to the sink

Great location, it's more like a hotel than a hostel but has a nice common area to work and the restaurant attached is very good. Room was nice and comfortable, they gave us a great view of the library/road. Elevator is a plus too! I would recommend the place for a weekend

The dryer was not great, you have to pay to do washing and I had to dry my things three times for it to fully dry. Also there are no shelves in the showers like most European hotels, a big inconvenience but really not a deal breaker

The hotel / hostel is located an easy walking distance to to the train station in the old town opposite the library. . The room was small with 2 single beds and was quiet, clean and comfortable . There is no TV, no hair dryer, no fridge, no kettle. We were in a hotel room for 2 which had no bath mat, 2 towels, and the only bathroom amenities were a plastic cup, body wash and hand soap. The bathroom was clean and large with a good shower and lighting. There is a basic breakfast buffet on offer and in the evenings you can sit downstairs in the bar/restaurant and use the free wifi. There are lots of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets close by.There is an elevator, washing machines and a place to store luggage. We used Utrecht as a base to visit De Haar Castle and the Kroller Muller museum.It's really a hostel with private rooms.

Great location, easy to get orientated and walk where ever you want to be. I didn't try the "greatest breakfast", because there are so many other places around the canal or various squares. I hadn't realised beforehand that I'd be there over Utrecht Pride weekend. Perfectly located to get to all the street parties too. Next time I'll plan ahead. Felt more like a hotel than a hostel, but not in a bad, stuffy, expensive way.

Felt expensive, but then I went for a private room and, as I mentioned, it was Pride weekend.

The hostel is located in the heart of the city. it is 10 min walking to the Utrecht central. and takes 30 min. to Amsterdam Central. Stuff is friendly and helpful. Our comfort room was clean and comfortable.
