Very helpful, friendly staff. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Clean and spacious rooms. Excellent location for walking around Central Auckland.
Trying to get there in a private car with the Auckland roads around Queen street was a nightmare. Difficulty in finding street using Google Maps - it couldn't accurately pinpoint the location and it did not take into account the massive road works. On the plus side - once we got there the staff were amazing with the cars and unpacking - they could see we were a bit stressed. Maybe a bit more detail around how to get there in a private car coming from the North would be useful on the website while the roadworks are on-going. If it was on the site we missed it !

The room was very comfortable and fully equipped (with a kitchen, washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher). It is located centrally (although we had a car, we didn't use it).
There is no place to leave the toiletries in the shower. You have to leave them on the floor. We booked the apartment for 3 adults with 3 beds, but we stated the real ages, as 2 adults and 1 child. The hotel staff, probably by mistake, insisted on us paying extra for the third bed, because they saw that the third person was a child. After our persistent disagreement, they realized the real reservation, but it was an unpleasant process for us.

Clean. Quiet. Nice shower. Friendly staff.
A toaster in the bedroom would be helpful.

Location is very good - close to Queen Street, harbor, 2 steps away from the SkyTower. You have shops, restaurants and supermarkets within a short walk distance. Rooms are very spacious and well equipped. We especially appreciated the dishwasher and washing machine and dryer. Very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed with them for 1-2 nights 3 times within a 3 weeks timeframe. They agreed to deposit some of our luggage in between the stays - it was really really appreciated as it made our life lots easier touring New Zealand.
Nothing really to complain. Maybe a breakfast option in the hotel would help, but this did not bother us too much as we had a fully equipped kitchen and shops nearby

Excellent location for shopping and dining. We had a basic twin room and a king suite. Both rooms were nice and clean. The king suite was quite big and we appreciated having the kitchen to use for our breakfasts (they provided coffee with a coffee press/kettle, tea and milk). It had a full sized dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer as well. They do provide parking, but valet only at $45/night. There are parking garages next to the hotel which likely may have had a better price. They also have a filtered water machine in the lobby, which I appreciated for refilling my water bottle.
The bed was WAAAAY too soft. It provided almost no support. If you have back issues, then this is not the hotel for you. Also, (this was not an issue for us, but it may be for others) the a/c will only operate in 1 room at a time (the king suite). You can run it in the living area OR the bedroom area, but not both at the same time.

The property is well located for events in central Auckland. The staff were helpful and getting the car back via the valet was quick and easy. The room itself was clean, compact but well appointed - large windows, really comfy bed and a good sized shower. Definitely good value for money given its location.
The only issue we had was working out where to park for valet parking. The property provided an address but when we loaded it in google maps it didn't align with where the forecourt was. Given the current construction and changes to roading in the CBD I would recommend including a map or perhaps more explicit directions (eg. the property is located on the northeastern corner of Durham Street west and Durham Lane; turn right into Durham Lane and then right again into the forecourt of the hotel).

CityLife Auckland is really well-placed for people who want to see and do things in Auckland, e.g., a nice walk down to the ferry and other mass transportation options. And Ubers are plentiful and always arrived within minutes. The ability to connect suites to in effect have a 3-bedroom/2-bath apartment for the 2 weeks we were there was crucial! And having in room kitchen and laundry facilities was crucial, too! You are close to everything you might need from restaurants to clothing stores to grocery stores, etc. And for the sake of comparison, we budgeted out nearby options for Airbnb rentals and concluded that CityLife's price compared pretty favorably; at the same, time, we eliminated the unpredictability of Airbnbs, which was also key as we were coming from thousands of miles away sight unseen with kids and more than a dozen suitcases in tow and we were not going to have the luxury of simply switching accommodations at the drop of a hat! Thank you, CityLife.

Spacious, fully equipped 1BR apartment. Excellent facilities (gym. pool). Decent but not super-fast Wi-Fi (abt 25-30 mps). Dining table doubles as laptop workspace. Helpful, courteous staff. Central location & easy access to transport.
Very limited selection of TV channels, many were duplicates and/or Infomercial only. LR TV was Samsung Smart but was not connected to Internet, so no Netflix, Prime or other apps (Tubi, YouTube, Plex, etc.). BR TV is ancient, small, with same limitations as LR TV.

We were pleasantly surprised when staff asked if they could store our luggage until we needed later on in the day. The location is perfect as walking distance to Britomart precinct and waterfront restaurants. Rooms were very quiet, warm and very clean. Beds extremely comfortable, so much so that we noted names on mattress and are going to look for same to buy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception desk and foyer was all beautifully presented and decor excellent which is always pleasing when entering.
I could not find a fault at all. Though if I was going to be picky we had to call for milk to have with a quick cuppa before we went out that night, There was nothing in the fridge.

Amazing value. Well equipped kitchen. Ultra clean, loads of space, very quiet, excellent, friendly, helpful staff. Would be an excellent choice for a longer stay or with children as facilities were all there- dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, microwave. We didn't have a chance to use these as arrived late and left early. Would definitely choose again and recommend.
Very soft bed (too soft), personal preference is not to have loose sheets on bed (prefer a duvet). Outlook was average but we did have a glimpse of the Sky Tower.
