Location… was easy walk to retail shops and close to the best food we had on our holiday at Hazy Tiger. Convenience store across the road to grab drinks and snacks. Walking distance to Tower. Super comfy bed in main bedroom.

Sofa bed in lounge room was not the very comfortable for our 21 year old. Simple but sufficient kitchen equipment. Good to have washer/dryer but would have been better if seperate appliances. Bathroom was very open. Not sure if all were sane design or if our room was an accessible room, as bathroom was like a large wet area, therefore every time someone used the shower the toilet would get wet and the floor very slippery.

I got the booking at a great discount when I booked a couple of days before arrival. It was spacious, had a kitchen with everything you need, washer/dryer combo with free laundry detergent, and had comfortable beds. The location was really good. There is construction work happening around the area, but easy enough to get around on foot. I'm not sure how it would be if you were driving though. I would stay here again if going back to Auckland.

The sofas were really dated. I didn't feel like I wanted to sit on them since they looked a bit dingy. I put something over them before sitting. Carpets had stains on them and were fraying in some places.

I was glad to have arrived while the desk was manned. After 9pm access changes and I wasn't aware at time of booking and not until I arrived; I like to have a human greet me etc. On leaving there was a cord right across the foyer. I tripped but no harm done, fortunately. Need to take care always. Would have enjoyed real milk and decent coffee sachets. Does anyone drink instant now? The shower and towel heater were excellent. I was able to hand wash items and they dried overnight. The Shakespeare Hotel diagonally across the intersection served me the best beer and fish with local vegetables. An excellent meal. The Cruise Ship terminal was right down the street. Very handy to everything. Saw a great side of Auckland and glad I stayed there.

Location is great. Located in the city - close to supermarket and Skytower. Great spot - Lots of cafes and eateries around. Short walk downhill to the harbour area. We had requested single beds that was accommodated with no issues. Was surprised that it was serviced daily - was not expecting that.

We stayed in Room 901 - 4 ladies. Room was on the smaller size. Quite small for 4 adults to share. If I had of known I would have requested one of the larger rooms on the other side (I believe they are called City View).

Everything apart from the above was really good e.g the size of the fridge, the washing washing machine, the cleanliness, the comfortable beds, the layout of rooms 🙂

The fans in both the bathrooms didn't work. The air con unit was not efficient at all. It was so hot in the rooms. Inconsistent heat in the showers. Clearer instructions about the car parking facility would really help. To mention that there is a door from the car parking area on level 2, out onto the same street as accommodation. It saves the steep walk up Durham Lane with suitcases. We noticed the door when leaving the building

Staff wouldn’t let us check in 10 minutes early. We had to sit in the waiting room and as the clock hit 3pm everyone was finally allowed to check in?? Kind of bizarre. Also perfect that they came in later to set up the sofa bed. However, we were not advised this was going to happen so when we arrived to our room we assumed it was forgotten as nothing had been said to us. They then came to set the bed up as we were getting ready to go out. We advised we would be leaving in 15 minutes if they could come back. They told us no because it was the last one for the day and then walked in anyways. Was a bit strange

I thought I'd treat myself to a suite with a view at the Barclay for my last night in New Zealand, and I am so glad that I did. The city view from the 21st floor was amazing, with a fully retractable french door with juliette balcony and wall-to-wall windows allowing me to take it all in unimpeded. The accommodation itself was very comfortable and spacious, with far more in the way of facilities than I had been expecting. With a well appointed kitchen, fridge / freezer and washing machine, I rather wished I'd been staying longer than just the one night. The 'mini bar' options went well beyond the usual tokenistic miniatures, so I was able to drink in the view whilst sampling an acceptable (and reasonably priced) local red - without traipsing down 21 floors to the shops. The staff were friendly and helpful, happily accommodating my luggage few hours the following day when (rather fortitously) I was afforded more time in the city by a delayed flight. This, coupled with a default check-out time of 11am, made for a pleasantly unhurried experience.

I really can't think of anything to fault this place. It cost a wee bit more (though not much) than some locally available options, but I certainly got value for my investment. The only word of warning might be to give it a miss if you're not good with heights!

We love how central it is, and the convenience of everything we need is only walking distance. The apartment was clean and compact with everything a family would need, e.g. kitchenette, toilet l/ bathroom in each room, and a washing machine.

When we first arrived, the room was cold with the air-conditioning on high. We made a mistake of turning it off whilst we were out, and when we got back and turned it back on, the air-condition didn't work the entire two nights. Sad to say, it was a little muggy for our young family. Also, there was no room for a cot in either of the bedrooms, and the only place a cot would fit is in the mini lounge in front of the tv. We would still rate our stay despite this inconvenience as we still had decent sleep, and our boys weren't bothered too much. Plus, we were mostly out and about and weren't back until late at night.

Very close to the Sky tower and most of the interesting places. It has almost everything that we need as a family. Lovely and helpful staff. It even allows us to check out late. Second, my 6yo son loves that the tv works. Lastly, lots of pillows and comfy bed.

The extra 5$ cost for the parking!! We booked the place including parking however it wasn’t mentioned this was good for a single entry. I have to upgrade in order for me to do a multiple entry to the parking. But the beauty of this property offer near by restaurants and shops so can get by walking.

The stay here was part of a xmas gift for my daughter and her partner for 1 night, on New Years eve. Staff allowed them to drop their bags off early into their room as they had a harbour cruise booked for the afternoon. They were given a beautiful room with the best view of the city, harbour and Sky Tower. They absolutely loved it. They were able to watch Sky Tower fireworks from their room balcony. It was a first time experience for them in a hotel and recommend it to everyone. Definitely great value for money. I emailed them numerous times with questions prior to book in date. Again, staff responded in quick time, were professional, helpful and very supportive. 10 /10 to the staff. They were fantastic. Thank you so much for making their stay such a wonderful experience.

No complaint just a heads up. The construction/road works outside may be off putting for some, but this is definitely made up for in the service provided by staff.
