Pullman Auckland Hotel & Apartments

Wonderful location in central Auckland. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping but also handy location to grab your car and get on motorway or to Newmarket etc. Gym is the best I've found in any hotel, pool and spa area were wonderful. Although I was travelling alone I will defiantly visit again with my young family. This would be a wonderful family hotel. Pool area great for kids. I would rate the Pullman above the Cordis/Langham after staying at both within the past month.

I was treated to a night away alone for Mothers Day and did request a quiet room only to discover I had two families with young children next to me. The hotel was accomodating and provided ear plugs.

Everything was clean and modern, the coffee machine looked brand new! The room was very spacious, bed was very comfortable, and the staff were super friendly. We ordered room service and the meals were delicious!

There was no 'main' room light, so to get enough light at night we needed to go around and turn on all the little lamps and reading lights. Plus, the phone wouldn't connect to the spa (even reception tried to redirect me, to no avail), so I had to walk down after trying all morning, and ended up missing out on being able to book in a massage as the last morning slot was taken just as I arrived downstairs. This wouldn't have happened if I was able to actually call/be connected to the spa.

The hotel was really lovely. We stayed in a 'residence' which had a kitchenette and we also asked for an extra bed for our son. The room was exceptional. The hotel's facilities were also wonderful for our family - heated pool and well equipped gym. The location was also very good - a short walk to the city, easy access to buses, taxi's, boats on the harbor. We would definitely look to stay at the Pullman again.

We loved everything about the hotel. It was a wonderful place to holiday with a young family.

Acknowledgemt of my wife's birthday. Highly appreciate the extra effort kitchen staff had gone to. Also great to have a nespresso machine in the room. Good competitive rate for a Saturday which was the main draw for us to stay at the Pullman as opposed to sky city grand, cordis or movenpick (other hotels with comparative room rates).

Furniture was a bit dated, bathroom was slightly cramped. Staff could be a bit more friendly and welcoming. Very business like and transactional attitude of staff at reception totally at odds with other 5 star hotels in auckland. They failed to greet with a smile and a "hello, good afternoon sir" at checkin and checkout. I won't come back to stay at the Pullman for its friendly reception staff to put it bluntly.

Amazing location, very close to central attractions, restaurants and shops. 5 minute walk to Spark Arena which is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Staff is amazing, very friendly and welcoming. Valet parking was fast and easy. Breakfast has a great selection of food and everything was very nice. Bed is giant as well as shower. Complimentary chocolate was a win.

It was a bit noisy in the morning. Our room was located on the second floor, so we were disturbed by a rubbish truck picking up bins at 5.30 am. The view wasn't amazing either. Definitely would recommend higher floor.

Room is absolutely great, loved all the facilities gym, spa, sauna pool, first valet to great us was wonderfully presented and extremely helpful

Room service bit pricey especially when I received a "COLD" steak definitely don't think it was worth $45 Also asked for our rental to be ready from valet at 9am waited an additional 20mins, luckily we weren't charged extra for late drop off, however we noticed other guests cars came very quickly so we put it down to a one off mishap, we weren't too upset about it just the steak

The service was great and the beds were very comfortable. I loved which facilities were available (pool, spa, sauna, steam room). The location was great, not too far from the city but also slightly away from the chaos for CBD. Great for families, my 6month old was gifted a kiwi and it’s his new favourite toy.

The heated pool was still too cold for me to swim in. The bathroom lights flickered and the shower could’ve been better (there were patches on the wall and some edges peeling).

Beautiful hotel with fantastic facilities and friendly, attentive staff, food was brilliant, and an added bonus of a little sweet treat for my birthday in the room was a lovely touch.

I had a premium residence room, while nicely decorated it was small features which let it down. Doors that dragged on the carpet, veneer furniture that was scuffed or chipped, side table which the top was not level and fixed, paint not touched up in the bathroom. Otherwise, I had a lovely stay.

We loved the pool and spa. It is well-maintained and the temperature is perfect for swimming. The breakfast buffet is superb—a vast selection to choose from.

At the pool, there could be more chairs and storage. One gripe, while we were there some guests thought it was O.K. to put towels on the chairs - (saving them for future use). A common practice in Europe. Not O.K. in NZ! Perhaps a little policing of this, maybe taking the obvious unoccupied towels away could solve the problem without causing a fuss.

Cleanliness was fantastic, staff very professional. We were very surprised at the grandeur of the building. Central location was great.

If I have to nitpick the lighting could of been better, no over head lights caused room to be quite dim. Toilet - the spacing between the shower & toilet was TINY, I am not sure if anyone over 6ft would comfortably be able to sit & do their business. Parking was quite expensive also.
