I love the location of this property, my room as always was spacious. Ivy goes out of her way to make sure I get the room I like and if it’s not available, she will give me the next best thing. I have been staying at the grand central serviced apartments since 2019, I don’t stay anywhere else. It is great location, excellent prices and the staff are amazing. I encountered to new staff this time, the first was the amazing night manager who checked me in and the 2nd was the early guy who starts at 10. They are both as polite and efficient as Ivy is. I now have a flat room rate I pay no matter what the season as they offer a mates rates discount for frequent returning guest Grand Central Serviced Apartments A+ once again and Ivy and team i wiil c u all in November for my birthday stay Thank you

The staff is always friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, and the building has historic charm. While the rooms are not extravagant, they are clean and comfortable. We stayed there several times and we plan to come back in the near future.

Very good value for money. We arrived at 10.30 at night, having been unable to let them know our situation and the staff could not have been more understanding. The apartments were clean, and had everything supplied that one finds in any hotel. If you are looking for cheap accommodation for one or two nights in Auckland, I would recommend these apartments. Remember that it is a converted railway station so there are long corridors with concrete floors which echo, unlike a modern building.

The situation is within walking g distance of the CBD and an area opposite the apartments attracted a group of skateboarders who were very loud late at night. Noise can not be kept out of such an old building so we were just unlucky on the Saturday night!

A stay in this beautiful old station building is a fascinating experience on its own. The room itself was rather characterless in comparison, but 100% functional for a comfortable overnight stay. In addition to the kitchenette (including microwave and kettle) in the room, there is a large communal kitchen in the building that you can use free of charge. Location is within walking distance of Auckland Strand train station, which made our choice of the Grand Central Serviced Apartments even more obvious. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful and the deciding reason for our 10. Definitely recommended.

I'd like to clarify that most of the negative reviews weren't as bad as they were said. Lovely lady at reception. Was the elevator a bit dodgy yes but fine, the rooms did smell at random times, like an old Chinese restaurant where they also smoke. But was alright. The reason I'm not going too harsh is because it costs us 120$ and was right next to spark arena, like for all the negative reviews, you get what you pay for.

The restaurant downstairs it's dead don't bother going to it. Got a kingfisher beer that I'm pretty sure had been sitting in that tap for months. The speakers turned on when we arrived and stating that it was a relaxing meditation Indian Playlist, what I thought mean this will be nice. But it was loud dubstep? Go to one of the other many restaurants around the area.

An amazingly beautiful building with lots of history. The room was huge and very comfortable with all the facilities we needed. Beds were really comfy and lovely crisp clean sheets. We had one minor issue but the lovely Lyn sorted it immediately without any problem. It's all about the customer service and she was super, saved us money on our taxi to the airport, let us check out late and stored our cases. Perfect location to be able to be in the centre of the city at an amazing price 🙌 thank you 😊

Amazing heritage building, very nice basic room with comfortable beds, microwave , fridge/freezer, new bathroom and kitchen bench. Quality towels etc. Room size was quite spacious so we had plenty of room to spread out. Lots of power points for charging things in handy locations. Freezer on little fridge was handy. Restaurant on the premises, close to other eateries, Spark and Vector arenas next door, easy walk to Northern Explorer train, Britomart, the waterfront and ferries, supermarket, museum. Art gallery walking distance. Great price for location, Polite accomodating manager let us in early to our room.

Last night the fire alarm went off at 3 in the morning which was unfortunate as we had early start catching northern explorer train in the morning. The rail line has trains late into the night which were quite noisy but expected due to its location. My husband was hoping for smart tv to connect up to computer but tv was old and sound was fuzzy. 2 tiny tables were provided but it would be better to have a larger one as bench was small. For some reason cooking smells were coming into our bathroom unless we left bathroom light fan on. The garlic prawn smell was not so good. Windows didn’t seem to lock? And after fire alarm I did wonder if there had been a real fire in corridor how we would get out as window opening was smallish.

This was a last minute booking. I will definitely look at staying again if I have a night planned in the city. Great location, close to everything. My room was spacious and very clean. Everything you would need. Bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. On site parking was fantastic, not many hotels in the cbd offer such convenient affordable parking. Definitely made the stay better knowing my car was right there. Will definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

The women in charge of reception is exceptional. She looked after us (and my elderly mother, who also stayed) with 5 star service. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and shower and wifi very good. Location is great for downtown and Parnell. We would definitely stay again.

Some people use the main communal space as a playground for children on their bikes and screaming, which can be very noisy. We used the communal kitchen several times and people were friendly and helpful, but the ovens really need a good clean on a regular basis as they are very greasy. It was still very good to have this as an option though.
