So close to everything. Had a concert at Spark Arena so was perfect walking distance to the venue and back. Right by Britomart so perfect if travelling throughout Auckland, and right in the CBD so everything is within walking distance for shopping. Rooms were comfortable, and surprisingly pretty quiet from how close to the street it is. Chocolate hour is an added bonus. Staff were so friendly. Would stay again.

No heads up that there’s a $50 bond per night when booking which took me back a bit, considering I hadn’t expected to be $100 down. A fan/vent in the bathroom would help with the steam from the shower.

Good location and room was very clean.

Stayed 2 nights, one being Saturday. Had a room facing the sea and even though we were on the 12th floor you could hear people still partying in the square below until 4am. Better to have a city view room if staying on a Saturday night. Also, we were one of quite a few people whose room was not ready, and had to wait 1 hour, despite us turning up at 4pm. However, apparently this was due to shortage of staff/people sick, so not entirely the hotels fault. We were compensated with a free drink and access to the chocolate buffet as well.

5 stars all round!! I was blown away at the exceptional service from the staff, they were all so friendly and very professional. Better than any hotel I have stayed at in NZ and definitely the best in Auckland, comparing to S/o and other tops hotels, Mövenpick is now my favourite. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything, especially as we were there for Disney on Ice at Spark Arena. It's in the heart of Queen St & Britomart area, so you're spoilt for choice with eating out, including the 4 square supermarket just a few doors down for supplies. Easy access to all of the shopping and events on. The hotel made it really special for us with gifting my daughter a really cute and generous Disney On Ice gift pack. The hotel rooms are stunning, with very comfy beds and linen. Impeccably clean, quiet, with a nice view and spacious. Nice quality toiletries, amenities and good coffee. The decor is really pretty and the restaurant up on the top floor has amazing views and yummy food. I was really impressed with my stay and will be back for sure. Thank you!

We flew into Auckland airport and took a shuttle to the hotel. It is located right across from the train station and by the large plaza that leads towards the ferries and harbour. Location is excellent. Lots of little coffee shops nearby as well as a grocery store. There is a drug store one block away. About 5-10 minutes walk to the Maritime museum and tons of restaurants around the marina there. Very buzzy area. We had a room with a view of the plaza, train station and ferry docks. We made use of laundry facilities. When travelling for a month or longer, it is a challenge to find a hotel where one can wash and dry clothes! The front desk staff were very helpful. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but chose to try other eateries in the area.

The only negative is that because we wanted a view of the harbour ( which was lovely) , it came with the negative of street noise at night. The plaza was full of people, music etc. so it was quite noisy in our room, even though we were many floors up.

The checkin was seamless and the front desk team were lovely. Explaining benefits of the hotel and chocolate hour. The location is unbeatable and I truly enjoyed my one night stay here. Comfy bed and great pressure in the shower. Good view of the harbour and I didn't hear much noise although I did not stay on a weekend.

The room was a little small but very clean. I hate all manner of lights on TVS and the Aircon panel however so I had to use tape to dim these. As a word of warning if you are light sensitive like I am.

The hotel is a stylish hotel with a boutique atmosphere. The staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. The restaurant is superb with great top floor views and our junior suite was secure, quiet and spacious with a large comfy bed. The hotel is close walking distance to Queen St shopping, harbour restaurants and ferries and the Auckland Explorer bus stop number 1 is opposite the hotel. The hotel has a gym and a street front coffee shop and bar. I highly recommend this hotel.

The selection of red wine in the restaurant was mundane and didn't even have a decent Shiraz.

Great location, near the ferry and other central Auckland sites and restaurants. Had a nice harbor view (which we reserved). Check in was efficient, however I had to remind the staff of our included breakfast and inquire about when and where it was located. Room was comfortable, with everything we needed. Coffee facilities in the room are always a big plus ! Daily housekeeping did a nice job of keeping things tidy and clean during our stay.

Found the staff to be somewhat indifferent to their guests. We were never greeted by the front desk when we came or went through the lobby nor asked our satisfaction upon check out. Room temp was has hard to manage to get comfortable.

The beds were comfy and the view was nice. Chocolate hour is a cool addition and the kids enjoyed their free ice cream. The location is excellent. The valet car service was quick.

Our room hadn't been cleaned by 4pm and reception were surprised when we contacted them to let them know. They quickly got it serviced but it would have been nice if they offered us a drink in the bar while the room was serviced for 20 minutes. I also don't think the view is worth paying extra for as the building isn't tall enough to get a truly stunning sea view like some of the other hotels in the area. So save your money and hope for a decent view anyway (which we did previously and it was an equal view with no additional cost). The room also had very limited storage -a wardrobe only and no drawers. There was plenty of space for suitcases but we like to unpack and this wasn't possible.

Very comfortable beds - nice tea selection, friendly staff. Location was excellent for restaurants and concerts. TV was big, clear and easy to operate.

A staff member helped carry our bags which was lovely - would have been great if bags had been taken to our room prior (we stored them prior to check in). The lifts were really slow and only 2 appeared to be working. We couldn't work out if room service was available. A brochure of info about the hotel would have been useful. The main concern was the noise from the bar/restaurant below - which kept us awake. Next time I'd ask for a quieter room.

Location was great. Beds were very comfy, room was very clean and decor modern.

Bathroom door had come off its slider upon check in. The floor we stayed on had a broken button for the elevator where you had to push the up button to allow the elevator to arrive at your floor and then had to go up with other customers before being able to return to ground floor. We stayed on a Friday night and the noise from outside was very disruptive. Comes with staying so central but got maybe two hours sleep as lots of bar noise, music and yelling happened on street.
