Easy to find, clean and pleasant staff

No menu in room, it’s really annoying to have to look on a tv for a menu. I had to search it online and then nothing had prices. We gave up and went somewhere else for dinner. At a different motel the next night, first positive, they have a menu with pricing. Sometimes the basic stuff is easier for your customers

They have upgraded since my last stay and have improved immensely.

The front desk was a little slow especially at 1am in the morning. I thought that in this circumstance my getting into a room would be paramount and at great haste.

The hotel is beautifully landscaped and we really enjoyed sitting out in the sun having an afternoon drink after a big day exploring Christchurch. The staff were lovely and we REALLY enjoyed the welcome cookie. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had a lovely view of the carpark which was not great but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room anyway. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, so many options to choose from. The water pressure in the shower was insanely good. Good location with easy and free parking.

Sadly, the pool was out of order for the entirety of our stay, which was particularly disappointing on a 32 degree day. The dinner/restaraunt was quite expensive and we weren't super impressed with the main meal, but the raspberry creme brulee and mussell entree were divine.

It is a beautiful location, close to the botanical Gardens and the Hagley Gardens. They held my baggage after checkout, so I was free to enjoy Christchurch for a few more hours without being encumbered by my suitcase. Close to public transport to the airport. The number 3 bus is just a 5 mins walk near the corner of Riccarton and Bartlett Streets / Thai Orchard restaurant.

Pillows were too high. There was a noisy fan that was on all night. Nice if you are able to walk it, but it's at least a 25 to 35 mins walk to get into the city. This was fine for me, but it is something to think about if you are without a car.

We arrived at the hotel quite a bit earlier than the scheduled check in time, but the staff ensured that we had a room. There were good facilities throughout the hotel and our room was comfortable. Due to the heavy rainfall on our first day, we stayed in and spent the afternoon in the lounge catching up on some work. It was comfortable and the service was good. We ate at the restaurant that evening and the meal was very good. We were staying on a room and breakfast basis. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of foods. The hotel is well placed in the city. we walked through the large park, just outside the hotel into the city centre, about 2 miles, but for those less inclined, taxis and Uber are readily available. We didn't use the pool so can only comment that it was picturesque but untried. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

A comfortable cozy room, clean bathroom & bed linen. A lovely older structure which is well maintained but most of all the staff were outstanding in particular the housekeeping staff they went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Not forgetting front of house reception staff 'Angela' was willing & helpful. Based on the above I would consider a return.

We felt bathroom very out of date especially the plumbing to the toilet, the flush was poor and wouldn't turn off so having to get up and flush again. New bathroom can make the difference to your stay.

Rooms were not ready for us at 3pm. We went to have a late lunch, after a long day walking with the bags, as we were not allowed to leave them in storage, before 3pm. Food and restaurant staff are amazing. Gym is good, and has all the equipment needed for a holiday workout. Left the rooms early, and were allowed to leave the bags in storage room till later in the day. When leaving the hotel we left a hat by the fireplace when waiting for the uber driver. Did call the hotel asap, and they have put it on the side for us. We were quoted $36.27 to courier a hat to Auckland 🤔 Rather pricey we thought ...

The hotel was comfortably located close to the airport and was nice. But what I would like to point out is the professionalism and kindness of the staff, especially Patryk at the front desk. He went over and beyond to help me not just with the issues I had with my driving license not being translated to English, but also with giving recommendations and tips and was the most attentive hotel staff I ever encountered. Also he let me check out later, which was a great help sorting out the administration with the car. Thank you so much again!

The property is well maintained and has beautiful gardens and waterways around it. The rooms are fresh and have quality fittings. Everything worked and the staff were courteous and efficient. The bar was great with separate sections and lots of choices for food and drinks.

Check in was too late at 4.00pm (something I had not picked up earlier). Never come across this before so late. Bathroom shower was a little tight being a corner unit. No bathroom individual amenities provided. Only the built in hand/body wash, shampoo and conditioner, which personally don't like. for the money they should provide better quality individual bathroom amenities.

The hotel is beautiful, especially the gorgeous gardens and water features. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. We had two double beds for 2 adults and 2 kids which worked well for us. We needed more towels, mugs and cups as the room hadn't been set up for 4 people, and staff brought them up straight away. Loved the view of the gardens out the window!

Took about 30 mins to check in (despite only a few people in front of me). Not sure if this was down to issues with each person or their checking in system. Was hard standing in line after a 6 hour drive and just wanting to get to the room. But staff were really lovely when we got to the desk.
