First impressions were that this motel was old style on a busy road but don't let that put you off. We had the two bedroom, one bathroom spa unit number 3. On entering we noticed that the heaters had been put on for us and that it felt very welcoming. Nothing in the unit was old and dingy. Bedrooms were spacious, beds comfortable, electric blankets, good sized bathroom with modern equipment. Liked the thought that went into the decor throughout the apartment, from choice of wall colour to decent furniture. The kitchenette was well equipped and supply of tea, coffee etc was not mingy. Reception was smiling and communication was excellent. There are a number of restaurants in close walking distance. Access and parking very good. easy access to the airport - 10 minutes by car. This is one of the best apartments of this type [city] I have stayed in.

There are a lot of motels in this area, but this one is very well presented and very clean. The staff are very friendly. Excellent location for Saturday morning parkrun in Hagley Park and/or visiting the Botanical Gardens. The rooms near the road are possibly noisy but the one we were in at the back was very quiet. The unit was very clean and well equipped.

Outside, the private patio area smelled of cat pee. Perhaps there are neighbourhood cats using the area at the back of the motel as a litter box.

Absolutely fantastic motel, 5 star service, immaculately clean, comfy beds, superb customer service. Working late on a cold construction site we arrived back every night to find lights and heatpump had been turned on, and setting off to work this morning at 7am we found a bucket of warm water with a jug outside for us to clear the ice from our windscreen. We ALWAYS stay here when working in Christchurch, superb family run business.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike!

Unit was very clean and ready on time. Clerk at front desk very nice to deal with. Has a little balcony at back which was nice. For a "Motor Lodge" it was a very good place to stay and exceeded my expectations.

Kicthenette was a bit tight. No fan over cooktop and there were warnings about causing issues from food smells. Too many signs with warnings about what to do and not do.

Great location in Riccarton and close to city, friendly and helpful staff, very quiet despite it's location, comfortable and clean, free car parking. Our go to accommodation in Christchurch :)

Not much to dislike here really, if I was being picky car parks can be a bit awkward for a large vehicle but it's not really a big deal

Absolutely love the location. Walking distance to great shops and eating. The staff are lovely and super helpful.

The plug for the spa bath was easily knocked out. The jug in the kitchen when plugged in is under the cabinet so the steam can be an issue.

Food was not available, but there were numerous restaurants within a ten minute walk. Property was very modern and clean and every possible item you could wish for was provided within the room. Parking was good and the location not too far from the City Centre.

Extra comforts available. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge area and private courtyard. Exceptionally helpful and courteous staff. Beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean.
