This bed and breakfast truly is a Gem! The facility is well-maintained and perfectly clean. We only stayed one night but had a most comfortable visit, mainly because Sally was very welcoming and cordial. Additionally, she is very knowledgable about the north and south islands, and provided us with a wealth of information about places to see and things to do during our vacation. Breakfast was amazing and there was something for everybody.

We didn't like that our schedule only allowed us to spend one night.

room and the facilities were all good. location very quiet as far away from the city but close to the airport. very relaxing place

the lady (Sally) we first met at the door was not very nice. She was directing us like little kids which made us feel uncomfortable about our stay. she also told us that no kids are allowed in the place. I didnt book any children but my friend's child was there when they dropped us to the place.

What a wonderful stay. Sally made us feel right at home. Loved being out in the country with the horses. Amazing hot cooked breakfast, great coffee. Overall, just a fantastic visit.

Wonderful way to relax at the end of a 3 week holiday. Very accommodating, beautiful cooked breakfast daily with space to chill. Out of town centre but close enough to visit Christchurch and sightseeing with walks.

Comfortable, stylish, spacious shared kitchen/ lounge, quiet location, welcoming and helpful host

Double room was small for 2 persons with luggage. Our visit was overshadowed by the offensive, seething, less than monosyllabic resentment (rudely blanking even a passing hello)of Sally’s daughter, home for a few days’ army training leave, presumably annoyed at sharing her home with paying visitors. In the bedroom next door, we were asked to observe a 10pm noise curfew, to spare her delicate ears. Not that we play thrash metal! I suggested that Sally - otherwise a chatty, obliging and helpful host - should not accept visitors if her daughter were at home.
