The place is clean. Theres the cafe upon entrance which is good if you want to just chilled with light meal and coffee/tea. The location is superb too as its just walking distance to go anywhere.

The staff at front desk mostly are not friendly nor helpful when we asked few questions. We even heard your front desk staff gossiping about customer that was before us mentioning their race. Was quite disappointed as review in booking.com was great but when I looked at google review, mostly mentioned the same on the front desk staff. The cleaning staff are great and friendly.

The lady at the reception was dismissive when we arrived to check in, I let her know I needed to hurry as we had to return a hire car by 5pm. All I wanted was to ask her was if we could store our bags so we could sort the car out as we had a cracked windscreen that would need paperwork done and we were runningout of tome waiting. I was very stressed about the situation but she totally ignored me, she was simply waiting for another guest to come back Also, the same lady had no idea about local knowledge we asked which direction the nearest tram station was but she was unsure. We overheard her having similar conversations with guests, clueless about any local details

The purpose of my stay was for a night of respite to break up my long travel. Was very nice and private with great amenities. Everything I needed was provided. The interaction with the staff was pleasant and they were very accommodating.

Understandably cannot be helped as I was resting throughout the day, but if I was to be critical. The cleaning staff were very loud with chatter down the halls while they were working. If they had moderated the volume of their chat my rest wouldn't have be disturbed.

Very comfortable bed, easy walk to shops & attractions. There was a washing machine & dryer which was very handy. Well equipped kitchenette.

When we checked in the receptionist was not very helpful when we asked about locality. She also gave us a room for people with disabilities which meant that there was no storage for bathroom items in bathroom & a shower curtain around the big open shower space which would have meant a very wet floor. We asked if we could have a more suitable room & the receptionist had to ask someone else from the cafe who fortunately was able to give us another room. She also apologised but the receptionist said nothing which we thought was rude. In the morning we went into the cafe to purchase something to eat but were told there was only the buffet breakfast available & we were unable to have anything else.

Breakfast was limited, not the a la carte menu, and we had hoped for a cooked hotel buffet style breakfast, but the porridge was nice. They made us a coffee personally for breakfast. We went on the Tranzalpine on the Sunday for the day, but found the breakfast time was to be after we had to leave so had to request the breakfast to be earlier please and they accommodated our request. Clean and tidy. We arranged for family to stay as well and they gave us adjoining rooms.

Two single mattresses instead of 1 mattress for the queen size bed. Cupboards very high in the kitchenette.

Comfortable hotel and great location. Had everything we needed for our stay.

One staff member definitely needs some customer service training. I don’t have the lady’s name but whoever was on the desk on Saturday 21st October between 12-2pm definitely does needs extra training to help her communicate with people in a hospitality environment otherwise it will impact your business. The greeting was not warm and welcoming at all, she came across really rude from start to finish. The way she asked me to repeat my name “You need to come again with your name” in a harsh tone not “Sorry could you repeat that for me” it really sets the tone for the rest of the stay which is disappointing. Even just to add little things like ‘How are you’ or ‘Have a great stay/day’ makes a world of a difference.

Certain rooms have a washing machine and dryer which was quite convenient as I would have run out of clothes to wear if I didn't go find a a laundromat elsewhere. The location is also great as you can easy walk to City Centre with a variety of shops and restaurants available.

Although the sound proofing was good for external noise (e.g. road noise), you could very clearly hear people in the hallway entering and/or exiting their room. There is also a cafe downstairs where you can have a drink, but during the times which a supervisor is not around, the alcohol can't be purchased but overall very handy to have.

Central location, extremely clean and the kitchen has everything you need. The hotel is 5min walk from the quake museum and from one of the tram stops. Really convenient. Main Supermarkets are 10min drive but there are some small food shops on a walking distance

Some of the reception staff weren’t really friendly or helpful. Washing machine had build up and there is some hydraulic issue that causes a really loud whistling noise when other rooms use the sink/shower. The noise was really annoying. Parking is $20 per day.

Location is very good, with 10mins walking distance to Canterbury Museum and the surroundings Shower Room is clean and with great water pressure King Studio has equipped with washing machine and drier which can wash all the clothes along the holiday, Laundry liquid has been provided. The kitchen area has dish washer so you don’t need to the dish washing Everything is good, this location and this price I will definitely come back

If on-site parking can be free for the customer that would be great, but 20nzd one night parking is still acceptable
