The bed was super comfy and the pillows, great heating, great telly with sky...super good value, friendly staff, we ate in the restaurant, staff so friendly. They had great food, and we had coffees in the morning, that were cheap and tasty

There was only one thing, everything else was mint. The bath, shower tiles had black mould. Alot,it was gross, i had a bath, when lying down the hand rail had soap scum and mould, not been cleaned properly, was very off putting. Wouldnt take much to re grout it

The staff were friendly and helpful. We had two rooms which had good beds, decent bathrooms. The hotel was a great location, and our rooms included continental breakfast which was nice. We left a library book in one of the rooms, and the staff helped retrieve it for us after we phoned up. Very impressed.

We had two rooms. One of the rooms was dated / less-modernised than the other room. The "retro" one had no lights in the roof (just side lights!). The modernised one had a set of lights that didn't work.

The entrance to this hotel is so convenient that the shuttle from Dunedin Airport (or a taxi) delivers literally to the door! Inches away from the automatic door. With a barrier to warn children and others to be careful as they exit the door. Reception staff always helpful. And if they did not know the answer to a non-hotel question, they would say so, and ask a colleague to help. Room size was great, and I got a balcony and a terrific view across the city and to the hills beyond - without asking for either! Breakfast was great. Laundry room was really useful and fairly priced. Dry cleaning, same day, also available. I didn't use the car parking, but it was very handy.

Good that anyone can sit in the Aberdeen Bar, even when not serving food. But would be very useful if it served full evening meals, because the roads around the hotel, like much of Dunedin, are so steep that there is even a rail next to the exit roadway towards the city centre. But it only goes a few feet up.

Great views from halfway up the hills that surround the inner city. Close to downtown. Included breakfast was at 6:30am and had plenty of Continental options plus hot food for an extra fee. Plenty of tourist brochures available in the lobby.

Located in a very steep/hilly area (but so is at least half the city). Some visitors (eg: shuttle/tours) have difficulty finding a suitable place to look for their customers.

Location to the Town Hall couldn't have been better (we were there for an event). Great size rooms with fantastic black-out curtains. Comfy beds. New staff member (sorry, can't remember their name), had only been there 2 weeks, was lovely.

Was a little disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open. A basic menu of 2 or 3 options was available (and nice enough) in the bar area but we booked here because of a restaurant on the premises

It was a beautiful room, with a huge balcony and beautiful vistas. Continental breakfast was included.

We were lucky that we were here on the weekend. We could park outside the premises. The hotel's parking is very small compared with the capacity of rooms that the hotel has. And a suggestion, the façade of the building needs a face lift. The interior is so much welcoming than the outside

Our room was spacious and had a nice clean bathroom. The front desk staff were lovely and parking was relatively easy. Our room had a beautiful view, plenty of space for our luggage and a nice size fridge.

We got in at dinnertime and it was raining outside. The restaurant in the hotel was shut on a Sunday night and we couldn't go out anywhere for food and our rooms didn't have cooking or reheating facilities so that was inconvenient. I expect a hotel of this quality to have a working kitchen on dinner service.

Well presented room, though dated. location - access to city friendly team breakfast facility ok

dated, spoiled furniture. The dust / dirt on the windows and behind the curtains, on the electric plug points below t.v A little more attention to detail would benefit your overall rating. We paid for a reserved park, that was taken. perhaps change your method to manage this

It was ok could have been better on the cooked side of it , eggs sitting around look dreadful , maybe add pancakes or crumpets

On 2nd day breakfast was told I hadn’t paid for the previous day ! Told him I could show on my bank statement in fact I had ! Then took me into the restaurant the lady in there said no it was part of our package and the 2nd breakfast was free just had to pay for our guest which I did and said thank you . Then I went to check out and was told I had to pay for 2 breakfasts he said no you don’t have a package. Omg this was so embarrassing in front of our guest and the shuttle man that was picking us up. What a horrible way to end an others wise lovely time , seriously dont think I will be back. Hope that helps just 1 male staff member could sort it out, terrible customer service checked out 12/6/22

Such a beautiful old hotel, the elevator is old school, the window fittings look original, everything looks original but so well kept and maintained. this hotel has no air conditioning but does have heating for the cooler months. Walking distance to the main hub, free onsite parking. Breakfast is a continental breakfast so be prepared for fruits, yogurt, cereal, toast and croissants. We stayed in the junior suite and there heaps of storage’s space and plenary of room to move around.
